Man Shoots Mom in Front of Daughter After Being Evicted
A Texas man, Frank Falcon, was arrested for allegedly fatally shooting his mother, Linda Webster, in front of his 9-year-old daughter after learning she was evicting him for not paying property taxes. The incident occurred on July 14, 2022, in San Antonio, Texas.
Officers found Linda dead and her husband, Mark Webster, injured from a gunshot wound when they responded to the home. Falcon was charged with one count of capital murder and another count of aggravated assault, which was later dropped.
Prosecutors stated Falcon shot Linda after she evicted him for not paying property taxes. Falcon had an agreement to live rent-free in another property of Linda's as long as he paid the taxes. However, he was evicted when the taxes went unpaid for four years.
During the trial, Mark identified Falcon as the shooter, but his memories were not entirely clear. Falcon was found with black latex gloves at the crime scene and was stopped with a Taser-like device while fleeing.
If convicted, Falcon faces a life sentence. The trial is ongoing, and a verdict is pending.
