Ed Sheeran Faces Backlash After Macklemore Drama Disrupts Tour

Ed Sheeran has changed the start time of his upcoming concert in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, after being left without any opening acts following Macklemore’s removal from his Loop Tour over his “Free Palestine” speech. The show at Lincoln Financial Field was initially scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, but the start time has been pushed back to 8 p.m. — when Sheeran was originally set to take the stage after his openers — according to the Daily Mail. The remaining North American tour dates are still slated to begin at 5:30 p.m., with Sheeran yet to announce replacement opening acts.Ed Sheeran (pictured above performing at Z100’s Jingle Ball in 2025) changed the start time of his Philadelphia concert Saturday from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Kevin MazurGetty Images for iHeartRadioThe move comes after Macklemore (seen above with Sheeran at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards) was dropped from Sheeran’s Loop Tour over his “Free Palestine” speech. Kevin MazurThe original openers — Finneas, Lukas Graham, Aaron Rowe and Beoga — all dropped out of the tour Tuesday in solidarity with Macklemore.Finneas, for his part, wrote in an Instagram post, “Artists must not be silenced when they speak up for the oppressed. … I stand with Palestine and its people.”Macklemore was removed from the lineup after shouting “Free Palestine” and performing his 2024 protest song “Hind’s Hall” during his set at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey earlier this month. The track is named after Hind Rajab, a 5-year-old Palestinian girl killed by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) in Gaza.Sheeran (pictured above in Los Angeles, California, this year) has been left without any opening acts after his original openers dropped out of the tour in solidarity with Macklemore. RedfernsThe “Thrift Shop” rapper addressed his firing in a statement shared to Instagram, claiming that Sheeran and his team “made the decision to remove [him] from the ‘Loop’ tour.”Macklemore wrote that Sheeran, whom he said he considers a “brother,” told him that Robert Kraft — owner of the Kraft Group, which operates Gillette Stadium in Massachusetts — said Macklemore would not be allowed to perform there.Sheeran, meanwhile, addressed the situation in a statement on Instagram, clarifying that Macklemore’s removal from the tour was the “promoter’s decision,” not his own, because the emcee’s contract was “with the promoter” rather than Sheeran.Macklemore (pictured above with Sheeran at the 2014 iHeartRadio Music Festival) said he considers the singer a “brother” despite claiming that Sheeran and his team “made the decision” to remove him from the tour. The Heartbreaking Detail About Prince Harry After Princess Diana's Funeral

Princess Diana’s brother claims Prince Harry was “allowed to spin out of control” after their devastating loss because of a “lack of obvious care” for the then-12-year-old royal.Charles Spencer recalled being concerned for his young nephew in the aftermath of Diana’s September 1997 funeral in a new excerpt from his forthcoming book, “Swan Song: Diana, My Sister,” according to the Daily Mail. “My chief memory of that train journey is of being concerned at the lack of obvious care for Harry, as he decompressed from the ghastliness of the morning,” the 9th Earl Spencer wrote of traveling from London to the Spencer family estate, Althorp, where Diana was laid to rest.Princess Diana’s brother (pictured above) claims Prince Harry was “allowed to spin out of control” after their devastating loss because of a “lack of obvious care” for the then-12-year-old royal. charles.earl.spencer/instagramCharles Spencer recalled being concerned for his young nephew in the aftermath of Diana’s September 1997 funeral in a new excerpt from his forthcoming book, “Swan Song: Diana, My Sister.” Corbis/VCG via Getty Images“He needed Diana’s hugs, of course, and they would forever be denied him,” Spencer continued.“But instead of calm and nurture, he was allowed to spin out of control.”Spencer suggested Harry could have benefited from “a more caring hand” as he attempted to cope with losing his mother at such a young age.“My chief memory of that train journey is of being concerned at the lack of obvious care for Harry, as he decompressed from the ghastliness of the morning,” the 9th Earl Spencer wrote of traveling from London to the Spencer family estate, Althorp, where Diana was laid to rest. POOL/AFP via Getty ImagesEarlier that day, Harry and his brother, Prince William, then 15, famously walked behind Diana’s coffin during the procession to Westminster Abbey alongside their father, then-Prince Charles, their grandfather Prince Philip and Spencer. The earl recalled being struck by how vulnerable Harry appeared during the procession.“I could not get over how tiny, and slight, and bereft, Harry looked,” Spencer wrote, according to the excerpt.“But instead of calm and nurture, he was allowed to spin out of control.” Getty ImagesSpencer suggested Harry could have benefited from “a more caring hand” as he attempted to cope with losing his mother at such a young age. Getty Images“Too small to be doing this, I thought, and wondered how on earth this heartbroken child could bear the ordeal of that moment, or how he could possibly be expected to deal with the agony that the day ahead would insist upon.”Harry has previously spoken about the trauma of being made to walk behind his mother’s coffin in front of crowds of mourners and millions of television viewers. In 2017, the Duke of Sussex said he did not believe a child “should be asked to do that under any circumstances.”Spencer’s latest allegations come just days after Buckingham Palace issued an unusually pointed response to other claims about King Charles contained in the upcoming memoir.Harry and his brother, Prince William, then 15, famously walked behind Diana’s coffin during the procession to Westminster Abbey alongside their father, then-Prince Charles, their grandfather Prince Philip and Spencer, as seen above. Baby 'Colonel Cody' Born in KFC Car Park Sparks Heartwarming Reactions New

Baby 'Colonel Cody' Born in KFC Car Park Sparks Heartwarming Reactions

Updated 15:58 19 Sep 2026 GMT+1Published 11:08 19 Sep 2026 GMT+1She was forced to pull over at the fast food chain after going into labour suddenly A woman has revealed she gave birth to her son in a KFC car park after failing to make it to the hospital on time. 33-year-old Katie Murphy was on her way to the hospital with partner Stephen Kirby, 32, when she felt the urge to push, prompting him to pull over. The closest car park happened to be the couple's local KFC, located in Bromsgrove, and it wasn't long until Katie gave birth to a baby boy. Dad Stephen stepped in to deliver baby Cody, born at 9.35pm on August 29, while paramedics made their way to the fast food restaurant. Advert"When the ambulance dispatcher was trying to locate our location, the only place we could find was the KFC," Katie, a complaints call handler, said. Katie and Stephen welcomed baby Cody in a KFC car park (SWNS)"As my partner pulled into the car park, and as he made his way round to the passenger side and opened the door, he caught my son just in time."Thankfully, the ambulances arrived shortly after and the amazing staff took us to the hospital directly with my shell shocked partner following closely behind in the car," she added. Katie and Stephen - who are also parents to four-year-old daughter Freya - had been to the hospital earlier in the day as Katie had thought she was going into labour, but they were sent home. After leaving the hospital at around 4pm, Katie was experiencing contractions but put off returning to the hospital in fear of being turned away. "Finally at around 9pm she was in so much discomfort that we just said 'let's go' and I got her in the car to get to hospital. "The drive is around half-an-hour but around half-way through the journey Katie said she could feel something and knew the baby was coming," Stephen, a fridge engineer explained. Detailing how suddenly things happened, Katie revealed that she could 'feel the baby's head coming out' before Stephen had even parked the car at KFC. Cody was born 'healthy and thriving', weighing in at 7lbs 8oz, with Katie adding that he is 'doing great'. The couple with their baby son Cody (SWNS)He's been awarded the nickname Colonel Cody, in a nod to KFC's founder Colonel Sanders. "I think that nickname will definitely stick with him for life," mum-of-two Katie laughed. She revealed that the midwifery staff ordered KFC for dinner to mark Cody's birth and it's already been decided that he'll celebrate his first birthday at the fast food chain. She added: "It was definitely not the birth I expected, but it was worth every bit of pain, and now he has a very weird story to tell his school friends when he grows up."Responding to the story, a KFC spokesperson sent well wishes to the family. "We're honoured to have been the place of Cody's birth and are sending bucket loads of love to the whole family, along with some KFC merch and vouchers to help them celebrate."We can't wait to welcome them back for a meal to mark the occasion," the spokesperson said. Why Nick Reiner's $1.6M Trust Fund Is Still Out of Reach New

Why Nick Reiner's $1.6M Trust Fund Is Still Out of Reach

Nick Reiner hasn’t seen “even $5” from a family trust — which names him as its sole beneficiary — as he awaits trial in connection with the murders of his parents, Rob Reiner and Michele Singer Reiner.Nick, who has been held without bail at the Twin Towers Correctional Facility in Los Angeles, California, since December 2025, has repeatedly sought access to the trust, which is worth roughly $1.6 million. The “Nick Reiner Children’s Trust Dated December 2, 1993,” was established by his parents, according to People.Nick Reiner (pictured above during his arraignment in February) allegedly hasn’t seen “even $5” from a $1.6 million trust established by his parents. Chris Torres/Pool EPA via APNick, who is named as the trust’s sole beneficiary, is being held at the Twin Towers Correctional Facility (seen above) while awaiting trial in connection with the deaths of his parents, Rob Reiner and Michele Singer Reiner. GC ImagesIn two separate legal filings dated Thursday, Nick’s attorneys, Anita P. Wu and Geoffrey A. Neri, responded to objections from successor trustee Jodi Pais Montgomery and former trustee Paul R. Kanin, arguing that their client has been unable to “access even $5 from his trust” to purchase basic necessities through the jail commissary. They further argued that efforts to obtain “money that is lawfully his own” have been delayed, leaving Nick without the ability to retain new criminal defense counsel.Wu and Neri pointed to the trust’s “Age-30 Distribution” provision, which they say entitled Nick to a substantial payment when he reached the specified age.“Nick turned 30 on September 14, 2023. By the Successor Trustee’s own calculation, at least $558,000 became due and payable to him that day. His parents were alive. No one had accused him of anything,” the filing stated, per People.Nick’s attorneys, Anita P. Wu and Geoffrey A. Neri, argued that he has been unable to obtain “money that is lawfully his own” to purchase basic necessities through the jail commissary and retain new criminal defense counsel. Getty ImagesWu and Neri pointed to the trust’s “Age-30 Distribution” provision, which they said entitled Nick to at least $558,000 when he turned 30 because “his parents were alive.” (Rob and Michele are pictured above in Los Angeles, California, in 2017.) Getty ImagesHis attorneys also argued that California’s “slayer statute,” which trustees previously cited as a basis for withholding Nick’s access to the trust, no longer applies to the funds that became his before his parents’ deaths.“The ‘slayer statute,’ the sole remaining basis for withholding this money, takes away what a person receives as a result of someone’s death. It does not implicate money that became Nick’s years earlier,” the filing read.In June, Nick filed a petition claiming he was entitled to receive half of the trust “outright when he turned 30,” with the remaining half set to be distributed when he turned 35, according to court filings obtained by Page Six.His request to access the trust was blocked in August, with trustees citing California’s “slayer statute.”Nick (seen above at the premiere of “Spinal Tap II: The End Continues”) was previously blocked from accessing the trust under California’s “slayer statue.” REUTERSAn attorney for successor trustee Jodi Pais Montgomery argued that Nick’s portion of the trust would instead be transferred to his siblings, Jake and Romy Reiner (pictured above with Nick and their parents). michelereiner/InstagramAn attorney for Montgomery, Lauriann Wright, argued that under the statute, Nick’s portion of the trust would instead be transferred to his siblings, Jake and Romy Reiner.Although Nick is presumed innocent while awaiting trial, Wright argued that releasing the funds to him now would be “irreversible.”Nick, who will not face the death penalty if convicted in his parents’ deaths, appeared in court Tuesday before Judge Sam Ohta, where Page Six observed that none of his family members were present.Nick was notably without his family in court Tuesday, where Page Six observed that neither his siblings nor his aunt were present. Elderly Walmart Shopper's Death Sparks Outrage After Shocking Cart Dispute

An elderly Walmart customer was beaten to death by the parents of a teen employee who he had argued with after accusing her of nearly ramming his wife with a shopping cart, according to his grieving widow.Bert Atienza died of blunt head trauma at a hospital on June 8, a day after two people attacked him inside a Walmart in Norfolk, Va., WTKR reported on Monday.“My husband was still able to speak, he said, ‘Help me, get up,’ but I told him, ‘no you’re bleeding. Your mouth is bleeding. Ambulance is coming,” Atienza’s wife Josephine said.“I look at him again. He has no more consciousness.”The 77-year-old was grocery shopping with his wife of 42 years after a morning at church when a 17-year-old employee tore down the aisle the couple was in, almost clipping Josephine with a cart.Bert Atienza died after he was assaulted inside a Walmart in Norfolk while shopping with his wife, Josephine, on June 7, 2026. Facebook/Josephine Milo Atienza“He said, ‘You almost hit my wife with your heavy cart, and you did not even say excuse me or apologize to her,'” Josephine Atienza told the outlet.“If he sees things that he doesn’t like, he will tell it to you straightforward. That’s how it is. He doesn’t care who you are,” Josephine said, explaining her husband’s personality.Atienza and the unidentified employee argued for a moment before the worker chucked a can towards the couple as they walked away, she said. The teen allegedly called her parents for backup and Travis White and Erika Mitchell were hunting down the elderly couple inside the store minutes later.Bert Atienza was browsing a shelf in one of the aisles when White and Mitchell allegedly attacked him as their working daughter looked on, according to store surveillance video obtained by WTKR.The elderly shopper was shoved from the back, grabbed and punched as onlookers walked away.Atienza was then shoved into the shelving unit and collapsed to the ground, as one of the suspects kicked the injured man.“They crowded my husband, one of the adults hit him in the face. He fell down on the floor. I was terrified. I don’t know what’s going on,” Josephine said.“While he’s on the floor, they’re still kicking him and I told them stop. My husband has heart problems,” Josephine said.Bert Atienza was attacked while in the cleaning supplies aisle of the Norfolk Walmart, minutes after getting into an argument with a teen employee. WTKR News 3Josephine Atienza speaks about the attack that killed her husband, Bert Atienza, who died after being assaulted inside a Walmart in Norfolk. Facebook/Josephine Milo AtienzaTheir attorney contested the charges, saying the suspected killers were defending their daughter and the alleged assault was not premeditated.“They did not go there, intending for any of this to happen. It was an emotional situation. Their daughter called them. She was distraught. They went, as any parent would do, to try to make sure that their daughter was safe and then the situation kind of erupted.
