Nach dem Regen steigen die Temperaturen bis Mittwoch auf 21 Grad

Nach der langen Trockenphase hat es am Wochenende endlich wieder ausgiebig geregnet. Für die Natur war das eine willkommene Abwechslung, für viele Ausflügler hingegen weniger erfreulich. Vielerorts blieb der Himmel grau, immer wieder fiel Regen und die Temperaturen gingen spürbar zurück. Doch das typische Herbstwetter ist bereits wieder auf dem Rückzug. Besonders der Samstag zeigte sich von seiner nassen Seite. In weiten Teilen der Deutschschweiz regnete es immer wieder, dazu wehte ein kräftiger Westwind. Die Temperaturen erreichten 15 bis 16 Grad. Die Schneefallgrenze sank bereits am Donnerstag auf rund 1500 Meter . Deutlich mehr Wetterglück hatte, wer das Wochenende südlich der Alpen verbrachte. Dort zeigte sich am Samstagnachmittag häufiger die Sonne, bei Temperaturen um die 20 Grad. Am Sonntag gibt es erste Lichtblicke Auch der Sonntag startet vielerorts mit einem grauen Himmel. Vor allem entlang der zentralen und östlichen Voralpen halten sich die Wolken hartnäckig. Dort dürfte die Sonne kaum zum Vorschein kommen. In anderen Regionen stehen die Chancen besser. Im Laufe des Tages lockern sich die Wolken zunehmend auf und lassen zwischendurch auch etwas Sonne durch. Richtig warm wird es allerdings nicht. Die Temperaturen erreichen am Nachmittag rund 15 Grad. Wer einen Spaziergang plant, sollte also zumindest eine leichte Jacke mitnehmen. Ab Montag zeigt sich wieder häufiger die Sonne Zum Start in die neue Woche ist das Regenwetter dann weitgehend Geschichte. Am Montag dürfen sich viele Regionen auf einen sonnigen Herbsttag freuen. Allerdings beginnt der Tag im Flachland stellenweise noch mit Nebel. Dieser sollte sich im Laufe des Vormittags auflösen und der Sonne Platz machen. Frühaufsteher müssen sich noch warm anziehen. Am Morgen liegen die Temperaturen zwischen 3 und 7 Grad. Am Nachmittag werden dann rund 16 Grad erreicht. Auch am Dienstag bleibt es freundlich. Zwar kann sich am Morgen erneut Nebel bilden, danach gibt es trotz einiger Wolkenfelder wieder reichlich Sonnenschein. Die Temperaturen bewegen sich weiterhin um 16 Grad. Am Mittwoch klettert das Thermometer auf 19 Grad Zur Wochenmitte wird es sogar noch etwas wärmer. Ganz ohne Wolken geht es allerdings nicht. In der Nacht auf Mittwoch könnte es vor allem in der Ostschweiz nochmals etwas regnen. Auch der Mittwoch beginnt in der Nord- und Ostschweiz zunächst eher grau. Im Laufe des Tages setzt sich aber vielerorts die Sonne durch. Dazu steigen die Temperaturen verbreitet auf rund 19 Grad. In der Region Basel dürften sogar 21 Grad drinliegen. Auf den Bergen macht sich die Erwärmung besonders deutlich bemerkbar. Laut Meteo News steigt die Nullgradgrenze bereits am Dienstag auf über 4000 Meter.

1. A factual challenge can feel like an identity threatPeople defend ideas more fiercely when those ideas are tied to their competence, values, profession or group. A correction can then sound less like “this detail is wrong” and more like “people like you cannot be trusted.” For example, challenging a colleague’s method in front of the team may threaten their professional standing. Separating the person from the claim—“Your overall approach makes sense; I’m questioning this assumption”—can lower the social stakes without pretending the disagreement is unimportant.2. The same word may hide different definitionsSome arguments continue because both sides use one label for different things. Two people debating whether a workplace policy is “fair” might mean equal treatment, equal opportunity or accommodation for different needs. More examples will not resolve a disagreement built on competing definitions. Ask, “What would fairness look like in this case?” This moves the discussion from an emotionally loaded word to observable criteria. Definitions will not settle every value conflict, but they reveal what the conflict actually concerns.3. This does not mean emotional people are irrational; the same person may reason differently once the pressure drops. Public correction can make retreat socially expensiveChanging one’s mind may carry a social cost, especially in front of colleagues, relatives or an online audience. Continuing the argument can become a way to avoid humiliation rather than defend the original claim. But she was also sporting a less familiar piece of workout equipment that fitness professionals are far more enthusiastic about: Blood Flow Restriction training bands.Paul Comsulea, a personal trainer at Equinox in Southport, Connecticut, told The Post that BFR bands help isolate the glute muscles from the hamstrings, forcing the glutes to do more of the work.By partially restricting blood flow into the muscle, the bands create metabolic stress — the burning sensation Comsulea and lifters describe as a “crazy pump.” That stress produces a chemical-rich environment that stimulates muscle growth, allowing users to achieve similar training benefits while lifting significantly lighter weights. “The restricted blood flow tricks your muscles into working way harder than they normally would at that load,” explained Comsulea. Because the glutes are working harder, lifters can often achieve gains comparable to those from lifting weights that are roughly 20% to 30% heavier. Instagram/@haileybieberBack that thing up — with researchThe Rhode founder certainly seems to be on the right track.A 2020 study published in the International Journal of Sports Physical Therapy compared eight weeks of BFR training with traditional high-load resistance training and a control group, examining muscular performance, pain and vascular function.Researchers found that BFR training produced muscular performance improvements — including strength and endurance — and vascular benefits similar to supervised heavy resistance training, despite using much lower exercise intensity. The findings suggest BFR can be an effective alternative for people who cannot or should not lift heavy weights.Still, experts warn that anyone hoping the bands are a shortcut to a perkier backside should temper their expectations. BFR bands are not a get-out-of-leg-day-free cardWhile they can enhance glute activation, the muscles are ultimately built most effectively through compound movements like squats, Romanian deadlifts and lunges, which simultaneously strengthen the quads, hamstrings and glutes.Skipping those foundational exercises means missing out on some of the most effective glute-building movements.Hailey, for her part, gets her routine from celebrity trainer Kirsty Godso.According to Women’s Health, Godso’s go-to combo starts with 12 banded glute medius hip thrusts on each leg, followed by 12 dual elevated hip thrusts with a heavy dumbbell, and finishes with 12 single-leg dual elevated hip thrusts on each side.BFR bands are designed to increase muscle activation while using lighter weights. SKfoto – stock.adobe.comThere’s another downside to relying too heavily on glute isolation: Strong glutes paired with weak hamstrings is a recipe for multiple muscle imbalances that affect pelvic alignment, often leading to lower back tightness or pain over time.For that reason, Comsulea says BFR bands are best viewed as a supplement to a well-rounded strength program, not a replacement for one.“I will never recommend them to somebody who just started working out,” he said. “It’s more for advanced training.” Hear that? Mrs. Bieber’s bum is advanced.Comsulea recently incorporated the bands into a program for a client he has trained for three years. Her current goal is building her glutes to achieve a lifted “bump” effect. The benefits, however, extend beyond aesthetic goals.Comsulea said BFR bands can also be valuable tools for people recovering from knee or hip surgery who aren’t yet cleared for heavy squats or hip thrusts. By pairing the bands with bodyweight exercises like glute bridges, patients can continue stimulating muscle growth while placing far less stress on healing joints.Older adults may benefit, tooStrong glutes play a major role in balance, stability and mobility as people age. BFR training allows older clients to challenge those muscles without relying on heavy loads that can place excessive stress on tendons and joints.That said, Comsulea emphasized that proper placement, pressure and timing are critical. Worn incorrectly, the bands can reduce effecetiveness and increase the risk of injury. He recommends learning the technique from a qualified trainer or physical therapist before attempting BFR training alone.Consulting a doctor is also essential. BFR training is generally not recommended for people with a history of deep vein thrombosis, blood clotting conditions, uncontrolled high blood pressure, active limb infections or who are pregnant.

Un anno fa  Saleh al-Jafarawi, giornalista freelance di Gaza City,  annunciava con la gioia negli occhi il cessate il fuoco appena siglato tra Israele ed Hamas. Venne ucciso poco dopo, a colpi d’arma da fuoco da milizie armate da Israele in chiave anti Hamas, come dimostrato da diverse inchieste. La sua morte parlò chiaro: il cessate il fuoco non avrebbe portato pace. A un anno di distanza, lontano dai tavoli diplomatici e dalle dichiarazioni ufficiali, la guerra non si è mai fermata. Le testimonianze quotidiane del personale medico e delle organizzazioni per i diritti umani restituiscono un quadro apocalittico, in cui la crisi umanitaria non fa che peggiorare. Il sistema sanitario, ormai al collasso strutturale totale, si regge unicamente sugli sforzi disperati di medici e infermieri, abbandonati a se stessi in strutture che operano molto oltre le proprie capacità. Secondo i dati riportati da Milena Ansari, direttrice del dipartimento dei Territori Palestinesi Occupati presso Physicians for Human Rights Israel nel suo ultimo rapporto “Il genocidio di Israele a Gaza è ancora in corso a un anno dal così detto cessate il fuoco”, ad oggi, su 36 ospedali presenti nella Striscia di Gaza, solamente 20 sono considerati "parzialmente funzionanti". Sebbene vi sia stato un lieve incremento rispetto alle 14 strutture di un anno fa, questi presidi dipendono in modo esclusivo da generatori di emergenza, poiché l'unica centrale elettrica di Gaza ha smesso di funzionare l'11 ottobre 2023, in seguito al blocco totale imposto dalle autorità israeliane. “Quando noi, le Nazioni Unite o altre organizzazioni umanitarie, diciamo ‘non pienamente funzionanti’, intendiamo che questi ospedali dipendono totalmente da generatori di emergenza. Non c'è abbastanza carburante per far funzionare i generatori. In un ospedale senza elettricità e senz'acqua, la vita dei pazienti è a rischio perché  le cure  non possono essere  adeguate alle loro condizioni. Parliamo principalmente di grandi ospedali governativi o delle ONG, non di cliniche da campo”, spiega a Fanpage.it Ansari, “i pazienti in dialisi per esempio hanno a disposizione un numero limitato di macchinari a causa della mancanza dello specifico liquido a base di bicarbonato di sodio, necessario per farli funzionare. I medici hanno dovuto ridurre il numero di trattamenti per questi pazienti. Solo la settimana scorsa, il complesso medico Nasser ha annunciato di aver finito le siringhe. Non si trovano garze semplici o disinfettanti per pulire gli ospedali, non si ha accesso ad acqua pulita”. Come testimonia la direttrice, Israele continua a negare l'ingresso di disinfettanti e prodotti per la depurazione dell'acqua, con la giustificazione che si tratta di articoli "a duplice uso" (civile e militare). Stessa cosa per incubatrici e ventilatori. Ma Gaza ha anche il più alto numero registrato di bambini amputati, che necessitano di valutazioni, protesi, giunture specifiche, scarpette mediche in silicone, sedie a rotelle. “Le organizzazioni umanitarie cercano di far entrare questi componenti, ma le autorità israeliane lo impediscono. Mancano persino macchinari per risonanze magnetiche o TAC”, continua la donna. A questo collasso logistico si somma l'afflusso ininterrotto di feriti, descritto da Mohammed Alyazji, fisioterapista di Medici Senza Frontiere, supervisore dell'ospedale Al-Awda. Il carico di lavoro sul personale medico, racconta il sanitario, è rimasto invariato rispetto ai mesi di conflitto aperto. “I pronto soccorso continuano a ricevere vittime in condizioni critiche, con ferite provocate da esplosioni e colpi d'arma da fuoco. Il reparto di riabilitazione dell'ospedale Al-Awda, dotato di soli 20 posti letto, lavora al massimo della sua capacità per assistere casi estremamente complessi, tra cui figurano numerosi pazienti politraumatizzati con amputazioni bilaterali, rimasti feriti proprio durante questo ultimo anno di presunta tregua”, commenta il medico. Oltre alle vittime dirette dei bombardamenti, si registra una spaventosa ondata di feriti ‘indiretti’: i reparti si riempiono di civili con gravi ustioni, provocate dall'utilizzo quotidiano di fuochi a legna di fortuna all'interno delle tende per poter cucinare. Cresce inoltre a dismisura il numero di feriti per incidenti stradali, una conseguenza dell'utilizzo di veicoli fatiscenti e divenuti insicuri a causa della totale assenza di manutenzione. È impossibile fare una distinzione per genere o età: gli ospedali curano indistintamente uomini, donne, bambini e anziani, spesso colpiti da spari mentre cercavano semplicemente riparo tra i teli dei loro accampamenti. Per i feriti più gravi, l'unica speranza concreta di salvezza risiede ancora nell'evacuazione medica fuori da Gaza, ma la complessa burocrazia dei trasferimenti è una condanna a morte per i gazawi. “Il Ministero della Salute locale stima che migliaia di pazienti, inclusi neonati di pochissimi mesi, siano morti mentre attendevano l'autorizzazione per lasciare il territorio e farsi curare altrove”, spiega ancora la direttrice Ansari, “al momento ci sono circa 18.000 pazienti che necessitano di cure urgenti all'esterno della Striscia. Nonostante la petizione presentata all'Alta Corte israeliana dall'Ong Physicians for Human Rights, lo Stato di Israele continua a rifiutare i trasferimenti verso gli ospedali palestinesi della Cisgiordania o di Gerusalemme Est, che distano meno di 50 chilometri (solo un'ora di macchina) e sarebbero pronti ad accoglierli immediatamente. Le autorità israeliane consentono l'evacuazione esclusivamente verso Paesi terzi molto lontani, come Regno Unito, Italia o Spagna: una soluzione logistica del tutto impraticabile per assorbire un'emergenza medica di tale vastità e senza nessuna garanzia di ritorno a Gaza”. A erodere ulteriormente la tenuta sociale e sanitaria vi è infine la criminalizzazione e il blocco delle principali agenzie umanitarie che operavano nella Striscia. Alla fine di ottobre 2024, il parlamento israeliano ha approvato due leggi che vietano all'UNRWA di operare all'interno del suo territorio,  in modo da recidere ogni legame statale con l'agenzia. Poiché Israele controlla i valichi di frontiera, i visti per gli operatori umanitari e il coordinamento logistico per l'ingresso degli aiuti, questa rottura ha di fatto paralizzato la capacità operativa e logistica dell'UNRWA nella Striscia di Gaza a partire dal 2025. “Metà della popolazione palestinese, storicamente sfollata, dipendeva quasi interamente dai servizi e dalla logistica dell'UNRWA, che ora è stata bloccata senza che nessun'altra organizzazione possieda l'infrastruttura per sostituirne l'operato”, commenta Ansari. Nel frattempo, il peggio potrebbe ancora dover arrivare. L'inverno è ormai alle porte e minaccia  di portare con sé ondate di maltempo con conseguenti allagamenti che rischiano di sommergere le tendopoli, esponendo centinaia di migliaia di sfollati, tra cui in particolar modo i bambini, al freddo. “Quello che stiamo vivendo non è un cessate il fuoco, perché veniamo ancora bombardati, feriti e uccisi”, conclude Alyazji, “penso che tutte le persone qui siano esauste, sono stati tre anni di continue sofferenze. Siamo ancora in guerra e questa è solo un'altra fase della guerra a Gaza”.

Agențiile de informații occidentale au avertizat șefii din domeniul apărării din Europa că Rusia își intensifică eforturile de a-i asasina, ceea ce a determinat companiile să întărească măsurile de securitate personală în jurul directorilor lor de vârf, relatează Financial Times.În contextul în care războiul din Ucraina se află într-un impas, iar economia Rusiei se confruntă cu dificultăți, Kremlinul a ordonat intensificarea operațiunilor de sabotaj și a celor „hibride” în Europa, în încercarea de a slăbi decisiv sprijinul acordat Kievului în lunile următoare. Asasinatele îndreptate împotriva unor ținte civile europene — considerate odinioară un subiect tabu, chiar și de către agențiile de spionaj ruse — ocupă un loc din ce în ce mai important în aceste planuri, au declarat serviciile de informații europene pentru FT. Sursa citată a discutat cu reprezentanți ai cinci agenții de informații europene diferite, care au avertizat că directorii executivi și alți angajați de rang înalt din cadrul companiilor din domeniul apărării erau vizați de agenți ai Kremlinului.„Nivelul de amenințare a crescut în Europa”Conducătorii companiilor mai mici — în special cei implicați în producția de drone sau a componentelor acestora — se află, de asemenea, în vizorul acestora, au afirmat sursele.„Nivelul de amenințare a crescut în Europa. Atât pentru bunuri, cât și pentru oameni”, a declarat un înalt oficial al serviciilor de informații europene.Serviciul de informații interne al Germaniei (BfV) și-a intensificat semnificativ activitatea de contact cu „angajații și conducerea” companiilor germane din domeniul apărării, inclusiv prin recomandarea utilizării unor echipe de protecție personală angajate prin contracte private, a declarat un reprezentant al BfV.  „Rusia se angajează în planificarea deliberată a unor acte de violență împotriva unor persoane, comise de actori ai statului sau controlați de stat”, a avertizat luni Sinan Selen, șeful BfV, în fața parlamentarilor germani.„Observăm o evoluție a acestor acțiuni în ceea ce privește țintele, metodele și actorii implicați, inclusiv utilizarea structurilor crimei organizate”.Mai mulți directori din sectorul apărării, care au dorit să rămână anonimi, au declarat pentru FT că și-au întărit măsurile de protecție personală în ultimele șase luni, la recomandarea specifică a serviciilor de securitate ale guvernului. Alții au afirmat că au recurs la astfel de măsuri doar atunci când au călătorit în afara țării lor de origine.  Responsabilitatea pentru astfel de comploturi, cunoscute în jargonul serviciilor secrete ruse sub denumirea de „munca murdară”, revine în mare parte GRU, agenția de informații militare a Rusiei.Potrivit unor surse din serviciile de informații, aceasta și-a adaptat metodele. Ofițerii GRU colaborează mai strâns cu grupările de crimă organizată, folosind rețele transfrontaliere de agenți și împărțind sarcinile de recunoaștere, logistică, planificare și execuție între diferite celule sau persoane, în loc să se bazeze pe agenți „de unică folosință” recrutați online în schimbul unor sume de bani. În unele cazuri, au fost deja descoperite și dejucate comploturi în curs de desfășurare. În alte cazuri, s-au observat activități suspecte — inclusiv supravegherea „modului de viață” al unor persoane, atât la domiciliu, cât și la locul de muncă. Reprezentanții serviciilor de securitate au subliniat că un element cheie al strategiei ruse era faptul că nu era nevoie ca tentativele de asasinat să fie chiar duse la îndeplinire pentru ca această campanie să aibă efectul dorit.Obiectivul principal al Rusiei„Din perspectiva Rusiei, obiectivul principal rămâne în continuare unul psihologic”, a declarat un oficial din serviciile de informații. „Simplul fapt că îi fac pe oameni să simtă că ar putea fi o țintă are deja efectul dorit. Ei vor ca oamenii să se gândească de două ori înainte de a face afaceri cu Ucraina”.În multe cazuri, a subliniat un oficial, acțiunile agenților ruși erau încă de amatori și ușor de contracarat.Acest lucru generează însă propriile sale probleme, serviciile de securitate fiind nevoite să considere pe oricine o potențială amenințare. În luna august, doi tineri turiști ruși au fost arestați în Suedia pentru că își instalaseră un cort în apropierea proprietății directorului general al companiei Saab, Micael Johansson. Aceștia au fost eliberați la scurt timp după aceea.Experții în securitate au declarat că primesc tot mai multe solicitări din partea companiilor din domeniul apărării, precum și a celor care își desfășoară activitatea în sectoare precum infrastructura critică și energia, cu privire la modalitățile de protejare a angajaților lor europeni.Claudine Fry, parteneră la Control Risks, o firmă globală specializată în informații strategice și securitate, cu sediul în Londra, a declarat că riscurile de asasinat sunt „cu siguranță o problemă care se află acum mult mai sus pe lista priorităților”.„Observăm un interes crescut în ceea ce privește încercarea de a înțelege cât de serios trebuie luată amenințarea la adresa directorilor executivi și [cum să se ia] măsuri concrete pentru gestionarea acestei amenințări”.Conducătorii din industrie au avertizat cu privire la faptul că măsurile ample de protecție necesare, atât pentru persoane, cât și pentru unitățile de producție, ar putea reprezenta o povară pentru companii, în special pentru start-up-uri. Unul dintre acești conducători a declarat că, recent, au mutat una dintre unitățile lor de producție din Europa de Vest pentru a o proteja de amenințările rusești. Conducătorii din domeniul apărării ai celor mai mari companii de armament din Europa se află în stare de alertă maximă încă de la începutul anului 2024, când serviciile de informații americane și germane au descoperit un complot rusesc îndreptat împotriva lui Armin Papperger, directorul general al companiei germane Rheinmetall.Surse din serviciile de informații considerau că agenții ruși aveau în vedere un singur asasinat de mare amploare, iar Papperger, care fusese un susținător declarat al înarmării Ucrainei împotriva Rusiei, era o țintă unică. Witnesses say the man could be heard shouting ‘no, no’ during the attack (Picture: Yorkshire Wildlife Park) A man mauled to death by a tiger at a UK wildlife park is said to have asked for a photo with the animal who killed him moments before entering its enclosure. Yorkshire Wildlife Park in Doncaster remains closed after the unnamed man in his 20s was killed by a Siberian tiger at the attraction. Emergency services attended the scene shortly after 1.30pm yesterday following reports a man was attacked after entering the tiger enclosure. The man was seriously injured after being pinned to the ground by the tiger, which was not injured in the incident. The park was quickly evacuated following the attack, but the man was pronounced dead on the scene. His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers. Police have asked people not to share footage of the attack online (Picture: SWNS) Footage shared on social media appears to show the moments leading up to the attack. In one, a man is heard asking another visitor: ‘Excuse me, can you grab a shot of myself with the tiger?’ The woman agrees and the video falls silent, presumably while the picture is taken, before the man thanks her. He can then be heard asking for ‘one more’ picture three times before saying: ‘Thank you, lady.’ A witness claimed to the Mail on Sunday the victim was then seen dancing to ‘psych himself up’, holding a mobile phone and wearing earpods, before climbing over the fence. A visitor to the park also said the victim appeared ‘agitated’ and was ‘grabbed by the throat’ within seconds of accessing the enclosure. He could be heard crying ‘no, no’ during the attack, witnesses claim. The park was evacuated following the incident and remains closed until at least Monday (Picture: PA) In footage of the attack circulated on social media, a woman’s voice could be heard saying: ‘I tried to stop him.’ South Yorkshire Police said it was aware of the footage of the attack online and asked people not to share it. A spokesperson for the force said: ‘At 1.35pm today (Saturday October 10) we received reports of a man entering a tiger enclosure at Yorkshire Wildlife Park. ‘The tiger subsequently attacked the man, resulting in serious injury. ‘Emergency services attended and sadly, despite the best efforts of medical personnel, the man was pronounced dead at the scene. “The man’s family is aware and is being supported by specialist officers. Our thoughts are with them at this distressing time. “Regarding rumours surrounding the condition of the tiger, the animal was uninjured and remained in the enclosure following the incident and there is no wider risk to the public.” A Yorkshire Ambulance Service spokesperson confirmed two ambulances, Yorkshire Air Ambulance and a doctor attended the scene. Yorkshire Wildlife Park opened its doors in 2009, with the Land of the Tigers attraction opening in 2011. The attraction is on a purpose-built two-acre reserve for Amur tigers, an endangered subspecies with around 500 left in the wild. Pictures of the area show visitors can view the animals from a high walkway with fencing above the section where tigers roam freely. A statement from Yorkshire Wildlife Park yesterday said: ‘The safety and wellbeing of our visitors, staff and animals remain our highest priority. ‘The park is now closed and will remain closed tomorrow.’ Tickets remain on sale for entry to the park from Monday onwards.
