FOX 32 Chicago“Hey! Hey!” she shrieked from the distance as Lasker’s lens panned across the wreckage.Lasker followed the cries to a collapsed house, where he found a man pinned beneath a mountain of storage crates and heavy rubble.“I think I broke my leg,” the man told Lasker.Lasker quickly handed the woman his camera began to help the debris off the man.“To actually be a part of a dramatic situation — that’s a new one for me,” Lasker told FOX32 Chicago, noting that he usually films twisters as they dance across empty fields.“You don’t like to see when property is damaged, let alone when people are trapped,” Lasker continued. FOX 32 ChicagoPolice arrived and pulled the man from the ruins before rushing him to a nearby hospital. Lasker expects the survivor to make a steady recovery. At least three tornadoes touched down in Indiana and Illinois on Thursday, leaving 500,000 people without power, according to FOX Weather. The tornado in Streator was an EF-3, with winds reaching 136 mph, capable of toppling cars, overturning trains and uprooting trees, according to the National Weather Service.A reunification center was set up in Streator for displaced residents and the Red Cross operated a shelter for the injured.Streator Mayor Tara Bedei said there were no reported fatalities. “We are incredibly grateful for the safety of our residents and the quick action of emergency personnel,” she said in a statement. With Post Wires

Sophia Grace's Heartfelt Announcement: Expecting Baby Number 3 New

Sophia Grace's Heartfelt Announcement: Expecting Baby Number 3

Former The Ellen DeGeneres Show child star Sophia Grace Brownlee is pregnant with her third baby. “We are so excited to meet you ,” Brownlee, 23, wrote via Instagram on Sunday, June 14, alongside footage of herself showing her son River, 3, and daughter Athena, 18 months, holding ultrasound photos. Brownlee also added “Pregnant,” “Pregnancy,” “Mom of 3” and “3 Family Siblings” hashtag to her announcement. Brownlee, who rose to fame as a child dancing to Nicki Minaj’s “Superbass” on DeGeneres’ now-defunct talk show, welcomed River in March 2023. Athena followed in December 2024. (Brownlee has never publicly identified the father of her children.) “I was quite young when I had River. I was 19, which I do feel like is quite young,” the social media star recalled on the “Private Story” podcast in February, recalling her experience as a young mother. “I don’t regret, like, doing anything because I’m quite happy with where I am now. When I had Athena, I was 21, which is a bit more older.” She continued at the time, “It’s obviously young to have kids, but I don’t really think there’s a right age to have kids as long as you’re ready and you’re mature enough, that’s all that matters.” For Brownlee, she stated that she felt “financially stable” enough to have a family because of her childhood fame and salary. “If I wasn’t, like, I would have been struggling a lot,” she acknowledged. “So, yeah, I’m blessed to have been in that situation.” While Brownlee has enjoyed motherhood, it has taken her awhile to feel comfortable after an admittedly scary childbirth experience. https://www.instagram.com/p/DZkkf_8qVXy/ “It actually went quite bad with River. It wasn’t a nice experience,” she recalled on the podcast. “I went into labor naturally, and I was just a week early, which is common. That’s not a problem, and everything was fine. It just, kind of, got bad when you’re actually trying to push the baby out. He was getting really stressed out, and he just wouldn’t come down properly like how [babies] are supposed to.” Brownlee added, “Loads of different doctors and surgeons [came into my room], which is so scary. I was, like, ‘What’s happening?’ They were, like, ‘We think we’re going to have to do a C-section because the baby’s getting distressed.’ I was just so scared that they were going to put me to sleep ‘cause that is one of my biggest fears because I think I’m not going to wake up.” Brownlee, who found her emergency C-section to be “one of the scariest times” in her life, later had a vaginal delivery — also known as a VBAC, or vaginal birth after C-section — with baby No. 2. “Because I had a C-section, they were like, ‘We’re going to book you in for another one,’” she said in February of welcoming Athena. “That’s what they like to do, but the midwives were, like, ‘No, we think you can have her naturally, so at least try.’ I did, and it went so quickly. … I was so proud of myself, and I was glad I got to experience a natural birth, which I would choose every time over a C-section.”

Simone Biles' Shocking Health Scare: What Happened on Her 'Baecation'? New

Simone Biles' Shocking Health Scare: What Happened on Her 'Baecation'?

Simone Biles is finding comfort in a summer vacation with her husband, Jonathan Owens, less than one week after recuperating from a scary medical emergency. “A baecation is needed ❤️‍,” Biles, 29, wrote via Instagram Stories on Saturday, June 13, alongside a photo of the couple’s Goyard and Louis Vuitton designer luggage. Alongside a follow-up slide of a teal-colored ocean, Biles wrote, “Do not disturb, please & thank you.” The Olympic gymnastic further offered social media fans glimpses of the couple’s dinner date, where they cuddled close while posing for a selfie. Biles’ vacation comes nearly one week after she revealed that she suffered an undisclosed health scare that nearly turned fatal. “I’m not one to normally share things like this because I value privacy in today’s age, but almost dying wasn’t on my bingo card this week,” she wrote via Instagram on June 6. “This was one of, if not the, scariest experience of my life, especially since Jonathan was in Indy for practices. Owens, 30, signed with the Indianapolis Colts earlier this year and was attending preseason practices during Biles’ hospitalization. “I’ve been in bed resting this week,” Biles added at the time. “I’ll explain sooner or later, but [shout out] to my close circle who reached out, checked in, visited or sent flowers . Love y’all.” Owens, who met Biles in 2020 via celebrity dating app Raya, has not publicly addressed his wife’s medical emergency or recovery, though this is certainly not the first time the couple has navigated adversity. “It was one of the few times in her life where everything was just shut off and she couldn’t do anything,” Owens told Texas Monthly in 2021 of meeting Biles during the coronavirus pandemic lockdown. “We used it to get to know each other — really get to know each other. It created our bond and made it stronger. Now, I’m so thankful.” After three years of dating, Biles and Owens said “I do” in 2023. They also remain one another’s biggest cheerleaders in their respective athletic fields. “It is not much motivation you need to do, just because you don’t want to put extra, added pressure on anyone. I just tell her, ‘Go do your thing, baby,’” Owens exclusively told Us Weekly in July 2024 about going to Biles’ gymnastic meets. “You get a different type of focus whenever you just have this one person that you’re focusing on.” He continued at the time, “I’ve played a lot better since [meeting Simone]. I’ve just been focused and locked in, and you come home, talk about my day and play with the dogs, you know what I mean? That’s just kind of, like, our thing.”
