Începe a doua.

Look at what he did under impossible circumstances,” Netanyahu told host Sean Hannity.“Without his courage, we’d have faced a disaster of unbelievable proportions,” he added.Netanyahu said he also spoke with Hayoun’s children who were onboard the horrifying flight, who said they “flew to the ceiling” during the flight. Christa Pike Draws Attention After Supreme Court Lifts Last-Minute Execution Stay New

Christa Pike Draws Attention After Supreme Court Lifts Last-Minute Execution Stay

Updated 01:14 1 Oct 2026 GMT+1Published 00:56 1 Oct 2026 GMT+1The US Supreme Court has ruled that Pike's execution may go ahead The US Supreme Court has cleared the way for the execution of Christa Pike after overturning a last-minute reprieve. The killing had been scheduled for 10am on Wednesday (30 September) but judges from the Sixth Circuit Appeals court announced it had been halted. The ruling said the execution was paused ‘until further order of this court’. The court said: “The interests of justice and the finality of Pike’s impending execution compel the entry of a short stay of execution in order to properly analyse the parties’ fully briefed arguments and resolve the issues on the merits.AdvertPike's lawyers said the order was made due to 'serious concerns'. “The court has stayed this recognising the serious concerns about Christa’s scheduled execution,” her attorney said in a statement. However, now the US Supreme Court has lifted the stay of Pike's execution.Christa Pike will be executed via lethal injection (Tennessee Department of Correction)It was not immediately clear when the execution would take place.Pike, who has spent 30 years on death row, is set to become the first woman put to death in Tennessee in 200 years. Earlier today, her execution was paused after which Tennessee’s attorney general put in a request to the Supreme Court to overrule the last-minute stay. Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh granted the application to vacate the stay of execution. The order did not share any further details on why the stay was lifted. Pike, 50, was given the death penalty for the murder of 19-year-old Colleen Slemmer in 1995.Pike was just 18 when, on 12 January 1995, she, her then-boyfriend Tadaryl Shipp and her friend Shadolla Peterson lured Colleen Slemmer to a secluded woodland in Knoxville.According to court documents, Pike and Shipp then brutally attacked Slemmer, while Peterson kept watch. The beating lasted around 30 minutes, and saw them carve a pentagram into Slemmer’s chest, before Pike then killed the 19-year-old by delivering a fatal blow to the head, court documents claimed. She was sentenced to death when she was just 20 years old and has spent the last three decades awaiting her execution. She was sentenced to death for the murder of Colleen Slemmer (Find a Grave)In a letter shared just ahead of her planned execution yesterday, Pike said she was ‘at peace’ with her fate. "Whether my clemency is granted or not, I am at peace," she wrote."I'm not afraid to die."The Tennessee Department of Corrections confirmed yesterday that Pike had declined her final. During her time on death row, Pike’s lawyers have argued that she should've been given life in prison, arguing that her childhood issues, age and mental health problems were all mitigating factors in the case.Assistant Federal Defender Stephen Ferrell said she was abused as a child and was later diagnosed with bipolar disorder and post traumatic stress disorder. In her clemency petition, Pike wrote: “I was a mentally ill 18-year-old kid. It took me numerous years to even realise the gravity of what I’d done. Even more to accept how many lives I affected. I took the life of someone’s child, sister, friend. It sickens me now to think I had the ability to commit such a crime.”Featured Image Credit: YouTube/Inside Edition

10 Subtle Ways You Abandon Yourself to Keep the Peace New

10 Subtle Ways You Abandon Yourself to Keep the Peace

1. You Agree Before Checking What You Actually WantAutomatic agreement can look like kindness, but it often skips an important step: consulting yourself. You may accept plans, favors or responsibilities before noticing that you are tired, uncomfortable or already overwhelmed. The resentment arrives later because your real answer never had a chance to speak. Before committing, try saying, “Let me check and get back to you.” A short pause creates enough space to distinguish genuine willingness from fear of disappointing someone.2. You Edit Your Feelings to Seem EasierWhen keeping relationships calm becomes the priority, feelings often get translated into more acceptable versions. Hurt becomes “I’m just tired.” Anger becomes “It’s no big deal.” Disappointment gets hidden behind a joke. This editing may prevent an awkward moment, but it also makes honest connection impossible. Practice naming your experience plainly without turning it into an accusation: “That comment embarrassed me,” or “I felt overlooked.” Emotional honesty can be gentle without becoming invisible.3. You Apologize Whenever Someone Else Feels UncomfortableAnother person’s discomfort does not automatically mean you have done something wrong. They may dislike your boundary, disagree with your choice or feel frustrated that you are no longer accommodating them. If you apologize simply to restore warmth, you may accidentally take responsibility for emotions that are not yours to manage. Before saying sorry, ask what specific action you regret. If there is none, empathy may be more honest: “I understand this is disappointing, but my decision stands.”4. You Treat Boundaries Like Requests for PermissionA boundary explains what you will do to protect your time, energy or well-being; it is not a proposal that others must approve. Saying, “Would it be okay if I didn’t answer work messages tonight?” invites negotiation over a need you have already identified. Clearer language sounds like, “I’ll respond tomorrow during work hours.” People can have feelings about your limit, but those feelings do not determine whether the limit is legitimate. Clarity is often kinder than reluctant compliance.5. You Overexplain Choices That Need No DefenseLong explanations often appear when a simple no feels unsafe. You build a courtroom case for leaving early, declining an invitation or changing your mind, hoping enough detail will prevent judgment. Yet excessive justification gives others more material to debate. Try offering the amount of information the situation actually requires: “I can’t make it tonight, but thank you for inviting me.” A respectful decision does not become more valid because you have exhausted yourself proving it.6. You Monitor Every Mood in the RoomConstantly scanning faces, silences and changes in tone can make social situations feel like emotional surveillance. You may rush to entertain, reassure or repair before anyone has even said something is wrong. This keeps your attention fixed on managing the room rather than participating in it. When you notice yourself scanning, return to observable facts. A quiet person may simply be tired. Let adults communicate their needs instead of making yourself responsible for detecting and solving every unspoken feeling.7. You Accept Teasing That Quietly Diminishes YouLaughter can hide discomfort, especially when objecting might make you seem humorless or sensitive. But repeated jokes about your appearance, intelligence, history or insecurities can gradually shape how you feel around someone. Notice whether the humor creates shared amusement or requires you to absorb the sting. You can respond without delivering a speech: “I don’t find that funny,” or “Please leave me out of that joke.” Respectful people may feel awkward, but they adjust.8. You Confuse Being Needed With Being ValuedBeing the reliable fixer can create a powerful sense of belonging. People call when they need advice, money, rides or emotional support, and usefulness begins to feel like proof of love. The problem becomes visible when you stop providing and the connection suddenly weakens. Pay attention to who remains curious about you when you have nothing to offer. Healthy relationships include generosity, but they also make room for your limits, ordinary presence and unmet needs.9. You Keep Reopening Decisions Others DislikeSome decisions feel settled until someone reacts with disappointment. Then you reconsider, not because new information appeared, but because their unhappiness makes certainty difficult to tolerate. This can happen with career moves, holidays, living arrangements or ending a relationship. Write down why you made an important choice before discussing it widely. When pressure arrives, revisit your reasons rather than the intensity of someone else’s reaction. Disagreement can be painful without being evidence that your decision is wrong.10. You Feel Guilty When Peace Costs Someone ElseSelf-abandonment often becomes clearest when you finally stop doing it. The guilt can feel like proof that setting limits is selfish, even when the limit is reasonable. In reality, guilt may simply reflect an old expectation: peace was maintained by your flexibility, silence or sacrifice. Allow the feeling to exist without immediately reversing your choice. A healthier peace is not one person staying comfortable while another disappears; it is a relationship where both people remain visible.

6 Subtle Ways You Abandon Yourself to Keep the Peace New

6 Subtle Ways You Abandon Yourself to Keep the Peace

1. You Edit Your Feelings Before Sharing ThemBefore speaking, you quietly remove anything that might disappoint, challenge or inconvenience someone else. “That hurt me” becomes “It’s probably not a big deal.” This may prevent immediate tension, but it also keeps others from knowing the real you.Try expressing one honest feeling without minimizing it or apologizing for having it. Clear, measured honesty gives a relationship the chance to handle reality instead of relying on your silence.2. You Say Yes Before Checking Your CapacityAn automatic yes can be less about generosity and more about avoiding the discomfort of saying no. You agree to help, attend or take on extra work, then feel resentful when your own needs are pushed aside. Before answering, create a pause: “Let me check and get back to you.” That small delay helps you consider your time, energy and genuine willingness before making a commitment you may regret.3. You Treat Other People’s Discomfort as Your EmergencySomeone becomes quiet, irritated or disappointed, and you immediately start repairing the mood. You explain yourself repeatedly, soften a reasonable boundary or accept blame just to restore calm. But another person’s discomfort does not automatically mean you have done something wrong.Ask yourself, “Is there something I need to repair, or am I simply witnessing a feeling?” You can remain caring without taking responsibility for every emotional reaction around you.4. You Laugh Along When Something Actually HurtsHumor can disguise moments that deserve a response. A friend makes a cutting remark, everyone laughs, and you join in because objecting might make the room uncomfortable. Later, the comment stays with you.You do not need a dramatic confrontation. A simple “I know you’re joking, but that didn’t land well with me” is enough. Naming the impact teaches people where your limits are and reminds you that belonging should not require self-betrayal.5. You Overexplain Boundaries Until They Sound NegotiableWhen you believe a boundary must be approved, you may surround it with long explanations, apologies and exceptions. “I can’t come tonight” turns into a detailed defense that invites the other person to challenge every reason.A boundary is clearer when it is brief and respectful: “I’m not available tonight, but thank you for inviting me.” You can offer context when you genuinely want to, but your limits do not become valid only after someone agrees with them.6. You Call Resentment Patience and Keep EnduringResentment often builds when you repeatedly tolerate what you are unwilling to address. You may call it being easygoing, loyal or patient, while privately keeping score. Eventually, a small incident triggers a reaction that seems larger than the moment.Treat recurring resentment as information rather than proof that you are unkind. Identify the unmet need beneath it, then make a request, change your participation or step back. Peace created by endurance alone rarely feels peaceful inside.

7 Ways People-Pleasing Can Look Like Kindness—Until Resentment Appears New

7 Ways People-Pleasing Can Look Like Kindness—Until Resentment Appears

1. You agree before checking your actual capacityA quick yes can sound generous, but sometimes it is an attempt to avoid the discomfort of disappointing someone. The cost becomes clear later, when the favor disrupts your plans or leaves you quietly irritated. Before answering, create a small pause: “Let me check and get back to you.” Kindness is more sustainable when your agreement includes your own limits, rather than requiring you to ignore them.2. You offer help that nobody actually requestedUnasked-for help can come from genuine care, but it can also be a way to secure your place in someone’s life. You solve, organize or rescue before the other person has said what they need—and may feel unappreciated when they do not respond as hoped.Try asking, “Would support be useful, or do you just want me to listen?” This respects their autonomy while revealing whether your help is truly for them.3. You hide preferences to seem endlessly easygoingAlways saying “I don’t mind” may keep decisions smooth, but it prevents others from knowing you accurately. Over time, choosing the restaurant, holiday plan or shared routine can feel strangely lonely because your preferences never enter the room.Practice expressing low-stakes opinions without defending them: “I’d prefer Italian tonight.” Healthy relationships can hold different tastes. Being pleasant does not require becoming invisible.4. Their disappointment feels like evidence you failedSomeone can dislike your decision without your decision being cruel or wrong. People-pleasing often blurs that distinction, turning another person’s frustration into an emergency you must immediately fix. When a boundary disappoints someone, ask whether you acted disrespectfully—not whether they are happy. You can acknowledge their feelings while keeping your answer: “I understand this is frustrating, but I still can’t come.” Discomfort is not always damage.5. You apologize for having ordinary human needsApologies belong after harm, yet many people use them whenever they need rest, clarification, space or assistance. “Sorry” becomes a fee paid for taking up any emotional or practical room.Notice when gratitude or directness would be more accurate. Replace “Sorry for bothering you” with “Do you have a moment?” Replace “Sorry I’m exhausted” with “I need to rest tonight.” Your needs may require negotiation, but they do not automatically require an apology.6. You keep score while claiming everything is fineResentment often grows when generosity is offered as if it were unconditional but secretly carries an expectation of repayment. You remember every ride, late-night call or compromise, while the other person may not realize an exchange was taking place.Instead of waiting for them to notice, name what you need directly. Ask for help, reciprocity or appreciation. Honest requests give relationships a fairer chance than silent contracts nobody else knows they signed.7. You choose honest discomfort before delayed resentmentThe alternative to people-pleasing is not selfishness; it is clearer participation. That can mean tolerating a tense pause, a disappointed expression or the possibility that someone will disagree with you.Start with one truthful sentence: “I can help for an hour,” “That joke bothered me,” or “I want something different.” Short-term discomfort often provides useful information. It shows which relationships can adapt to your honesty—and which depended on your constant accommodation.

9 Signs You’re Over-Explaining Yourself—and What to Do Instead New

9 Signs You’re Over-Explaining Yourself—and What to Do Instead

1. You give a backstory for every simple decisionYou decline dinner, then immediately explain your workload, budget, sleep schedule and family obligations. The extra context may feel protective, as though your decision becomes acceptable only after others approve the evidence.Try giving the shortest truthful answer first: you cannot make it, but you appreciate the invitation. If someone genuinely needs more information, they can ask. A decision does not require a courtroom-style defense to deserve respect.2. You answer questions nobody actually asked youA colleague asks whether the report is ready, and you launch into every delay, revision and competing task. Often, the question only requires a status update. Answering imagined accusations can make ordinary conversations feel tense before anyone has criticized you.Pause and respond to the literal question. You might say that the report will be ready by three. Staying with what was asked helps you notice the difference between another person’s words and your own fear of being judged.3. You soften every boundary until it nearly disappearsInstead of saying you are unavailable, you apologize repeatedly, offer several alternatives and leave room for negotiation. The boundary becomes so padded that the other person may not realize it is firm.Warmth is useful, but clarity is kinder than reluctant agreement. Try a brief structure: appreciation, boundary, optional alternative. For example, thank them for thinking of you, say you cannot help this weekend and suggest another resource only if you genuinely want to.4. You keep talking when silence feels uncomfortableAfter stating your preference, a few quiet seconds can feel like rejection. You may rush to fill the space with explanations, concessions or a complete reversal. Yet silence often means the other person is simply thinking.Practice letting your sentence stand. Take one slow breath, relax your shoulders and wait for a response. Tolerating that small discomfort can prevent you from negotiating against yourself and teaches you that pauses are not automatically signs of anger or disapproval.5. You treat another person’s disappointment as wrongdoingSomeone can dislike your answer without your answer being unfair. Over-explaining often begins when disappointment feels like proof that you have caused harm. You then search for the perfect wording that will remove every negative feeling.Ask a better question: was I honest, respectful and reasonable? If so, their reaction may belong to them. You can acknowledge it without taking responsibility for fixing it: you understand this is frustrating, but your decision remains the same.6. You turn preferences into carefully argued permission requestsYou want a quiet evening, a different restaurant or time alone, but present the preference like a proposal requiring unanimous approval. This can quietly train you to distrust your own wants unless they sound efficient or convenient to everyone else.Practice naming low-stakes preferences without building a case. Say you would rather eat somewhere quieter or stay home tonight. Preferences do not always need a profound reason; sometimes wanting something different is sufficient information.7. You reveal private details to make no acceptableTo justify declining a request, you may share financial pressure, health concerns or relationship problems you would otherwise keep private. The explanation earns understanding, but it can leave you feeling exposed afterward. Before answering, ask whether the person needs this information or whether you are offering it to make refusal easier. A simple statement such as that does not work for you protects both the boundary and your privacy. Vulnerability is most meaningful when chosen, not extracted by guilt.8. You rewrite messages until they cannot offend anyoneA two-line message becomes a twenty-minute project as you adjust punctuation, add reassurance and remove anything that could sound firm. Thoughtfulness matters, but trying to control every possible interpretation is exhausting and impossible.Set a reasonable standard instead: clear, civil and accurate. You apologize for needs that require no apologyApologies are valuable when you have caused harm, but they lose clarity when attached to ordinary needs. Saying sorry for asking a question, needing time or requesting basic respect can frame your presence as an inconvenience.Replace unnecessary apologies with direct language or appreciation. Instead of apologizing for the delay, thank someone for waiting. Instead of apologizing for asking, state the question politely. This does not mean becoming blunt; it means reserving remorse for moments when repair is actually needed.
