Olympic Athlete's Arrest at Lincoln Memorial: What Really Happened? New

Olympic Athlete's Arrest at Lincoln Memorial: What Really Happened?

Olympian David Hearn was arrested for allegedly touching the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool amid President Donald Trump’s allegations that vandalism occurred at the monument. The canoeist, 67, told the Washington Post on Saturday, June 20, that he was taken into custody on suspicion of misdemeanor destruction of government property the previous day and detained for five hours before eventually being released. Hearn has been ordered to answer the charge in a Washington D.C. Superior Court on July 9. Per Hearn, he wrapped up a 52-mile bike by stopping by the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool, which has undergone a controversial $14 million renovation project to paint the bottom of the pool “American flag blue.” The athlete said he noticed a section of detached liner and reached inside the water to see what the piece felt like. “I didn't destroy or break or peel anything,” he told the Post. “By the time I realized what was going on, I was being put in handcuffs.” He added, “I reached in there, and I was able to grab the end of that flapping piece, the already peeling piece. It was still attached to the bottom. I didn't remove anything.” The 2000 Summer Olympics canoeist stressed that he “didn't vandalize anything.” Conservative Emily Miller shared footage of Hearn’s arrest, though she claimed that he’d “grabbed the hose that female National Park Service workers were using to clear the algae.” Hearn denied those accusations, though he acknowledged that his bicycle may have touched the hose. Us Weekly has reached out to the U.S. Park Police for comment. This incident occurred hours before Trump, 80, claimed via TruthSocial that vandals were responsible for deterioration of the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool. “We’ve cleaned, renovated, and beautified over 45 Monuments and Memorials, 28 Statues, and 22 Fountains in Washington,D.C.,” the president wrote on Friday, June 19. “Things are really looking good in our Nation’s Capital, and add to that the fact that when I became president, Crime was rampant, and now, Washington, D.C., is one of the Safest Cities anywhere in the United States.” He went on, “However, we’ve had some real problems with Vandalism at the beautiful Reflecting Pool, which sits between The Washington Monument and The Lincoln Memorial. Just like three days ago, they destroyed the grass outside of the Pool, they’ve also done everything possible to hurt the inside surface that was just installed.” The New York Times reported on Friday that the pool seemed to be rejecting elements of its renovation, with excessive peeling, “chunks of coating” and sections of “American flag blue” visible to visitors amid an ongoing algae problem. Trump insisted that saboteurs somehow used chemicals “to destroy and demean our beautiful work,” though those accusations have not been proven. “It’s a shame that the Radical Left Lunatics, most likely Dumocats, who have spent their lives trying to ruin our Country, are free to do so,” the president added on Friday. “Law Enforcement is actively investigating this situation, and will hopefully have it resolved soon. Thank you for your attention to this matter!”

"Dearest Harper, I'm in awe of you," she wrote in the letter to her baby girl. "You've been here for only a short while now, and somehow it feels as though you've always been ours." Steinfeld closed her note with a tender message to her daughter, "Even though I know I am meant to guide you through this life, Harper Haize Allen, the truth is that already, you have taught me far more than I could ever teach you. One day you'll read this and know that to be true, my sweet girl." Hailee Steinfeld on Becoming 'Someone New Over and Over Again' In her same June 2026 letter, Steinfeld revealed how motherhood has reshaped her sense of self. She admittedly used to think motherhood was simply "about raising a child," but has since realized it's actually about "allowing yourself to become someone new over and over again." But during these early stages of motherhood, specifically with raising a daughter, I've realized that how I see myself is how she'll see herself. It's that simple." Hailee Steinfeld Details Her Postpartum Body Changes Steinfeld has also been open about adjusting her fitness and nutrition routines as she heals from childbirth. "My body has gone through a lot of change recently, so I'm taking it slow while I figure out what my workout routine will look like moving forward," she explained in a May 2026 newsletter issue. "But any time the weather is nice enough to get outside, I'll get out for a quick walk. If that's not an option, I'm on the treadmill, or the stairmaster — which I'm really into right now." Her doula has advised her to stick to warm foods during recovery to help with digestion and nutrient absorption — a philosophy rooted in Ayurveda. "My mom made me this amazing albondigas soup the other day," Steinfeld said. "It's one of those rare soups that looks as good as it tastes." Emma Heming's Birthday Bash: The Unexpected Guest That Stole the Spotlight New

Emma Heming's Birthday Bash: The Unexpected Guest That Stole the Spotlight

Emma Heming celebrated her milestone 50th birthday with a huge party — and her husband’s ex-wife — because she knew it’s what husband Bruce Willis would have done for her. The caregiver advocate posed next to Demi Moore and stepdaughter Tallulah Willis, in a group photo from the fête published via Instagram on Friday. In another pic, Heming posed arm-in-arm with Tallulah, 32, who cradled a tiny pup for the snapshot. Other pics revealed that Heming’s bash included a taco truck, a two-tiered cake, and a large crowd of pals — but the model divulged in the caption that she initially thought she wouldn’t do much to mark her 50th amid husband Bruce’s ongoing battle with FTD (frontotemporal dementia.) Recalling that a friend kept asking her “What are we doing for your 50th?” Heming wrote that her “answer was always the same, nothing.”Emma Heming, pictured here in 2024, celebrated her 50th birthday alongside Bruce Willis’ ex-wife, Demi Moore. But the pal persisted, and Heming ultimately wrote that they “started imagining what a celebration might look like.” “Friends and family gathered at home,” she wrote. “Tacos. Margaritas. Chocolate cake. And not the dense, fancy kind. The fluffy Duncan Hines kind, cause that’s my fav.” Heming wrote that the more she thought about it, the more she “realized that milestones really matter. And if there’s one worth celebrating, it’s 50.” “I never want to look back on my life with regret,” Heming reflected, noting that she found herself “thinking about what Bruce would have done for my 50th.” “If you knew what he did for my 40th, you’d know there would have been a massive celebration,” she shared, “So we had one.” “If you knew what he did for my 40th, you’d know there would have been a massive celebration,” Heming wrote, alongside a carousel of pics from the party. It was a beautiful way to welcome 50,” she concluded the post, noting that “the Knicks won that night too.” On Thursday, Heming took to Instagram with a heartwarming nod to her husband — including a video of him entertaining their daughters with a goofy rendition of “Happy Birthday” during a previous birthday. In a snapshot, they embraced while wearing party hats. “My 40s were heavy, yet I’m proud of how far I’ve come as a wife, mom, care partner, and advocate,” she wrote, adding that she’s “also proud of the work we’re doing through the Emma & Bruce Willis Fund and what lies ahead.” She continued, “Together, we’re raising awareness of FTD, supporting caregivers, and advancing education and research.” Willis, seen here with Moore in a previous social media post, retired from acting in 2022 prior to his 2023 FTD diagnosis. Since then, Heming has advocated for those affected by the complex condition and their caregivers. “This journey has opened my eyes to the realities so many families face when a loved one is living with frontotemporal dementia,” she said earlier this year, while announcing the Emma & Bruce Willis Fund for Dementia Research and Caregiver Support. Heming, who accepted the Susan Newhouse & Si Newhouse Award of Hope at The Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration’s Hope Rising Benefit in New York in March, added, “I believe deeply in the importance of supporting research while also showing up for the caregivers who carry so much every day.”

Reality TV Stars' Secret Wedding in Croatia Shocks Fans! New

Reality TV Stars' Secret Wedding in Croatia Shocks Fans!

Blake Horstmann and Giannina Gibelli have officially found their happily ever after beyond and away from the reality TV cameras. The Bachelorette alum, 37, and the Love Is Blind alum, 33, tied the knot during an intimate wedding in Croatia on Saturday, June 20, surrounded by alums from both reality franchises, including Jason Tartick, Astrid Loch, Alexa Lemieux, Colleen Reed and Raven Ross. Horstmann and Gibelli began dating in December 2021 after costarring on season 1 of the Paramount+ series All Star Shore. Us Weekly confirmed in January 2022 that the couple were officially an item, though they initially had to keep their romance under wraps since the reality show hadn’t premiered yet. “We had to first keep basically six months of our relationship private, so that was fun in a sense because we didn’t have the public pressure, we didn’t have all the eyes on us, we could just kind of be ourselves,” Horstmann exclusively told Us in October 2022. “But it was hard too because it’s never fun to hide the person you love.” Horstmann also revealed one of the keys to his and Gibelli’s relationship was their ability to communicate. “We both handle conflict incredibly well,” he explained. “I’ve never had a relationship where, you know, if you’re in a fight … or conflict, instead of holding grudges or doing whatever, we talk it out. Or even if it’s, we’re not able to talk [it] out now, we go to separate rooms, we cool down and we come back and we talk it out. It’s kind of the first time too where we don’t have the same fight over and over because we’re able to talk it out and we get over it and we come to a conclusion, if you will.” https://www.instagram.com/p/DZ0m5mSG_du/?igsh=MzRlODBiNWFlZA%3D%3D After nearly two years together, Horstmann and Gibelli announced in November 2023 that they were expecting their first baby. The duo welcomed their son, Heath, in March 2024. Later that year, Gibelli hinted at the couple’s plans to eventually expand their family. “I want the whole basketball team. I really do,” she exclusively told Us in August 2024. “I literally popped him out and I was like, ‘Let’s do it again!’” Horstmann ultimately proposed to Gibelli during an October 2024 trip to Madrid, Spain. “Our love story has been everything I’ve always dreamt it would be and more,” she told People the following month. “As soon as I met Blake, I knew he was my soulmate and I know the universe was always leading me to him. Being together forever and creating our family is literally the joy of my life.” Horstmann, for his part, gushed: “We are over the moon and we can’t wait to be married in front of our loved ones.” Gibelli and Horstmann confirmed in July 2025 that they were planning a destination wedding for the summer of 2026. “I’m a very small and intimate kind of gal. Also, it’s far away,” she exclusively told Us at the time. “So you know who your people are. Whoever’s going to show up, I know you’re my people!” Horstmann chimed in, “I think we’re going to invite a decent amount, but I think it’s going to end up being kind of an intimate, intimate [thing], it’s going to be fun.”

Heartbreaking Words from Daveigh Chase’s Mom After 'The Ring' Star's Shocking Death New

Heartbreaking Words from Daveigh Chase’s Mom After 'The Ring' Star's Shocking Death

Daveigh Chase’s mother, Cathy Chase, has broken her silence after The Ring child star’s shocking and tragic death at 35. “I was devastated. It felt like something inside of me squeezing all of the air out of me, and at the same time, It felt like I was exploding outwardly,” Cathy, who last saw Daveigh in 2019, told Daily Mail in an interview published Friday, June 19. “I let out this guttural scream and I just was running, and these weird sounds were coming out of me, like, primeval sounds. I went out into the backyard, and I was screaming, "No, no, no, no!" I am in so much pain but I hope her soul heard me.” Daveigh’s boyfriend, Roy Hernandez, announced on Wednesday, June 17, that the actress had died one day prior. He claimed that Daviegh had meningitis and an infection in her blood that causes sepsis, a life-threatening illness that can cause organ failure. Days earlier, Hernandez launched a GoFundMe campaign to cover Daveigh’s medical expenses. “Daveigh was diagnosed with meningitis and several serious blood infections. Her condition has become critical, and the doctors have told me she may not have much time left,” he wrote in the fundraiser description. “All she ever wanted was a place where we could live together, feel safe, and be happy. Now, more than ever, I want to give her that sense of home and peace in her final days.” Cathy, for her part, claimed to the Daily Mail that she found out about Daveigh’s death through the media after years questioning her daughter's health. “I would just put her name in the coroner's [search system] and see if her name came up and if somebody had her somewhere,” Cathy recalled to the outlet. “I would look at their list of unidentified bodies. It was very difficult, but you do everything you can as a mother.” According to Cathy, Daveigh allegedly struggled with substance abuse issues after injuring her back in a 2016 motorcycle accident. “She was seeking drugs and was partying with the wrong people,” Cathy claimed. “I never kicked my daughter out. She wanted freedom and these people got her hooked on some drugs. That was the beginning.” Cathy further claimed that she last saw Daveigh in October 2019. “She was completely gone, like, out of her mind. I honestly thought there was something wrong with her,” Cathy said. “My daughter was never diagnosed with mental health other than PTSD, but the drugs took hold of her.” Daveigh is survived by her parents, her brother and her boyfriend. Cathy also helped identify the Donnie Darko actress’ body earlier this week. “[The hospital chaplain and I] were able to lay hands and pray,” Cathy told the Daily Mail. “Technically, we were touching the glass, but it's as close as we could get, so we were able to lay hands and pray for her. It was a beautiful experience, and, and I feel very blessed, too, have been able to share that with my daughter.” If you or someone you know is struggling with substance abuse, contact the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) National Helpline at 1-800-662-HELP (4357).

At 85, Ann-Margret still has a need for speed. The “Bye Bye Birdie” and “Viva Las Vegas” legend is opening her personal archives to fans, partnering with Julien’s Auctions to sell cherished keepsakes, household items and glamorous Bob Mackie-designed costumes beginning June 23.One of the sale’s crown jewels is her custom 1997 Harley-Davidson Sportster XL883 Hugger, adorned with a mauve-and-daisy design and ridden by the star for more than 20 years. When asked by Fox News Digital what riding means to her, the actress, without missing a beat, declared, “Freedom, freedom, freedom!”Ann-Margret noted that she loves the “speed” and still happily rides today.“Back in Sweden, my uncle, my mother’s brother, he had a big motorcycle,” she said. “I watched him, and of course, I asked him if I could ride with him. And I did. And that was it. I had to have one of my own.”Ann-Margret speaks during the screening for “Bye Bye Birdie” during the 2023 TCM Classic Film Festival on April 15, 2023, in Los Angeles, California.  Getty Images for TCMA full-length portrait of Swedish-born actress and singer Ann-Margret sitting on a motorcycle outdoors is seen, circa 1965.  Getty ImagesWith zero hesitation, Ann-Margret replied, “Nope,” when asked whether she was ever scared.“Isn’t that something?” she said. “I never have been. I love the speed. I try not to go too fast, although I do love the speed. I’m joyful when I get on that bike. I don’t get scared. That’s the problem!”A devoted motorcycle enthusiast since the 1960s, Ann-Margret has spent decades chasing adventure on two wheels, both on set and off. In one of her most iconic images, photographer Douglas Kirkland captured the star in 1971 racing down a Las Vegas highway on a chopper, dressed in a patriotic showgirl ensemble and knee-high boots. And if the star gets any second glances from no-nonsense bikers, she doesn’t seem to notice.“I’m so busy making sure that I ride my bike correctly, I don’t notice things like that!” she quipped.Ann-Margret’s 1997 Harley-Davidson Sportster XL883 hugger motorcycle is pictured. Julien's AuctionsThat independent streak extends well beyond the open road. At her house, guests can expect to find a sign that reads, “You can tell a Swede, but you can’t tell her much,” which was put up by her late husband, Roger Smith.“It’s true,” she laughed. “I’m a rebel. And I’m happy. I’m happy with my life. I had 54 great years with Roger. I’m a happy person. And I enjoy my work. It’s not work to me. I’m so deeply appreciative of my fans. I do understand that they understand me. I’m serious about being an entertainer, but again, it’s not work to me. It’s joy.”Ann-Margret has never been one to play by the rules. One item up for auction is an ivory-and-orange gown with a low V-neck that she wore in 1963 when she appeared on “The Ed Sullivan Show.” Ann-Margret is pictured as Kim McAfee and Jesse Pearson as Conrad Birdie in the 1963 film “Bye Bye Birdie.” Corbis via Getty ImagesShe wore the same ensemble to sing “Happy Birthday” to President John F. Kennedy in 1963 at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York City, following in Marilyn Monroe’s footsteps a year later.“It’s such a magnificent dress,” she said. “And I had the audacity to sing ‘Baby, Won’t You Please Come Home’ [to the president]. I was very, very young. And that audacity? Yeah, I had a good time.”The memory of performing for Kennedy remains tied to another milestone from that chapter of her life. Ann-Margret described casting her first ballot for Kennedy as one of the many thrills of her life.Ann-Margret sings “Isn’t It Kinda Fun” on the set of the 1962 American musical film “State Fair” in New York City, on April 8, 1962.  Getty Images“I was very excited about voting,” she said. “It will always be a special moment for me. And I love my guys and girls [from the USO]. I surely remember all the trips that I made. They all still mean the world to me.”Many of Ann-Margret’s Bob Mackie dresses at the auction helped solidify her status as a Hollywood sex symbol, a title she has no qualms about.“Well, if men think I am sexy, then that’s fine,” she beamed. “That’s fine with me.”There’s no denying that Ann-Margret has remained young at heart over the years. Another item up for auction is a signed 1979 book penned by Arnold Schwarzenegger titled “Arnold’s Bodyshaping for Women.” The two starred in the 1979 comedy “The Villain.”(L-R) Sherry Yard and Ann-Margret attend the screening of “Bye Bye Birdie” during the 2023 TCM Classic Film Festival on April 15, 2023, in Los Angeles, California.  Getty Images for TCM“The one thing that I can’t really keep [up with Arnold] really is having dinner by seven o’clock,” she said. “But he’s amazing. The proof is in the pudding with him. He practices what he preaches.”Like Schwarzenegger, Ann-Margret credits discipline and longevity for helping sustain a decades-long career. She said she remains amazed by the enduring support of her fans, admitting she is “humbled by it all.”“I had been working nonstop all through those years, and here I am,” she said. “I still get very nervous before I do something. But it’s excitement. I’m much better about nerves today than I was when I was 18. And I was thriving. I guess I have [also] been very good at hiding it. Once I start singing and dancing, I am so into it that I just feel confident.”And Ann-Margret has no plans to slow down anytime soon.“Even when I was four or five years old, I was constantly moving,” she said. “I was always moving. I moved a lot, and I keep on moving. I’m a happy person, especially when I move.”That outlook has fueled her for decades. Ann-Margret previously told Fox News Digital that it’s no secret her love for Harley-Davidsons has kept her feeling forever young.“When I was ten years old, I would ride on the back of [my uncle’s] bike with him,” she recalled at the time. “He would take me to the Norwegian border, and we would go into Norway. There’s no way I could forget that motorcycle.”“I’ve got a lot of energy,” she reflected. “It doesn’t come in a bottle. I am just blessed that my mother and father gave me such great energy. And there’s no negativity here. They instilled in me all of these wonderful things that I still carry with me. You don’t whine about things. You just go out and do the things that you love. And I just feel blessed with the life that I’ve been given.”
