ABD'nin Uzaydaki Silahları: Çin ve Rusya'dan Gelen Sert Tepkiler New

Julie Kaputa's Coffee Controversy: Student Challenges School Rule New

Julie Kaputa's Coffee Controversy: Student Challenges School Rule

Updated 14:00 15 Sep 2026 GMT+1Published 11:08 15 Sep 2026 GMT+1Julie Kaputa's first day back at school did not go as planned due to her coffeeA high school student who was suspended after bringing a cup of coffee to class is calling for the rule that landed her in trouble to be revoked.Julie Kaputa’s first day in class didn’t go as planned when a teacher questioned her about her beverage during a lesson on September 3.The student, who attends Beaver river Central School in Castorland, New York, told WTVM: "I walked in, I had my coffee with me. I got to my first period class and my teacher said, ‘I’m either going to need you to dump that out or consume it on the spot or go down to the office.Kaputa, who is a senior student, was handed an in-school suspension (ISS) as a result of bringing the coffee in, with the school alleging she violated Code of Conduct, which is to 'create a safe, instruction-focused environment for all students'.AdvertThe school’s district’s policy on food and drink from outside of their grounds states: "The following food and drink guidelines help minimize distractions, protect students with food allergies, and promote a calm, equitable school experience."Students arriving with drinks or food will be asked to finish them before entering school.”Kaputa says she and other students plan to demand the rule be revoked during a school-board meeting.Kaputa says students are demanding a change to the rule (Getty Stock Image)She told the New York Post that she expects a ‘good turnout’ for the meeting and remains hopeful the demand to bring coffee into class may be agreed to. “We’re hopeful that they will’’ she said, referring to board members. The hearing took place on Monday (Sep. 14). When the date for the hearing was announced, Kaputa said: "They will be holding a public hearing at the next board meeting and asking several students to have input into rewriting this section of the code to address both the administrator and student concerns," she added.Kaputa previously argued the rule has not been adopted legally as there was no public hearing when it was introduced last month.Kaputa’s mom, Mary Anne Kaputa, also weighed in on the matter and asked other parents if they'd seen any advertisement from the school surrounding the new rule and a public hearing, which is required for it to pass.Kaputa was given a suspension (WGRZ-TV)Mary wrote on Facebook: "Julie was put in ISS today for refusing to dump out a 'banned beverage' (a latte from moving mountains). I was called down to the school."Meeting minutes from both July and August (where the code may have been discussed) were never published to the website until today when I pointed it out to the District Office, and the district office had no record of a public hearing being conducted."Just wondering if anyone else saw it and I missed it. I am certain that the school can not enforce a substantial change to the code of conduct without a public hearing."Superintendent Todd Green told WWNYTV said the board's monthly meeting in August was considered a public meeting but commended Kaputa for speaking up. “It’s good to see students standing up for what they believe in. We really appreciate that. That often doesn’t happen,” Green said in response to Kaputa challenging the rule. “We’re a school district. We’re trying to do the best we can throughout this process. We know there’s open meeting laws. We try to follow that. If things get pointed out that we need to do and change or fix, we’ll do that.”Featured Image Credit: WWNYTopics: Food and Drink, US News, School

Elephants Deliver Justice: Poacher Meets Tragic Fate in Kruger National Park New

Elephants Deliver Justice: Poacher Meets Tragic Fate in Kruger National Park

Published 13:57 15 Sep 2026 GMT+1He was taken by surprise at the Kruger National Park in South Africa.Elephants have performed capital punishment on a poacher in South Africa's Kruger National Park.Via The Daily Mail, it's reported that two men carrying an axe and a rifle were sizing up white rhinoceros in the area, hopeful of cashing in on their prized horns.Unbeknownst to the hunters, though, a herd of elephants was nearby, sheltering from the scorching sun beneath the treeline. Before the money-hungry interlopers could take their valuable shot at the rhinos, the empathetic, parachute-eared mammals pounced on them. AdvertA source from the Kruger National Park went on to add: "The two ran in different directions, but the one lining up the shot was the slowest to his feet and the elephants went for him first."He was quickly overrun and the elephants trampled him into the earth and all that we found was basically a very large bloodstain around the clothing he was in.South Africa's Kruger National Park is home to many white rhinos (Godong/Universal Images Group via Getty Images)"Elephants are extremely intelligent and, as they say, never forget, and may well have witnessed poachers before sneaking up on rhinos and went to protect them," they continued."For us it's a big boost when the animals win and poachers lose. The Kruger is huge and we can't be everywhere so it's nice when the nellies give us some help!"The surviving poacher has since been arrested by the South African police and awaits a criminal trial. An alert was initially raised at the Pafuri Ranger Lodge, leading to a four-mile hike that eventually brought rangers to the grisly death site. JP Louw, a spokesperson for South African National Parks, revealed: "We received information that two poachers entered the park illegally through the Pafuri area to hunt."It would seem they encountered a herd of elephants and fled in different directions, and one suspect on returning home later reported his accomplice was missing."He said while he was running away he heard loud screaming and after his arrest he led us back to that area and we discovered the body of the trampled suspect."There are said to be around 1,850 white rhinos within the Kruger game reserve, which stretches to 7,523 square miles.Unfortunately for them, their keratin horns are big business in the oriental medicine market and sell for between $20,000 (£14,832) and $60,000 (£44,497) per kilogram.Over on Facebook, users reacting to the trampled poacher news were universally in favour of the outcome."The elephants are the gatekeepers! I wish the hyenas got to them after they did," wrote one person."Elephants have done justice for the targeted rhinos! Big ups to the elephant family for helping the game rangers do their job out there," echoed a second.Featured Image Credit: David Silverman/Getty ImagesTopics: Animals, Crime

Why TSA is Confiscating Kids' Beloved Squishy Toys at Airports New

Why TSA is Confiscating Kids' Beloved Squishy Toys at Airports

The TSA squished their spirits.Squishies may be the latest viral toy craze — with top brands like Needoh, Polysquish and RMS Mystery Squishy Dumplings becoming sensory favorites for young fans —but they’re causing panic at airports nationwide.Because the kiddie obsessions are filled with well over 3.4 ounces of liquid (the very thing that makes them “squish”), law-abiding TSA agents have no choice but to toss the children’s toys before takeoff. One such trinket tragedy unfolded in a TikTok from Orange County, Calif. mom Celine Trang. Her 9-year-old daughter Cassie was left bereft at the Charleston International Airport (CHS) in South Carolina when a TSA agent flagged the girl’s large butter-shaped squishy — a notoriously hard-to-find toy — because its contents were considered “a liquid.”Cassie had been set on showing her treasured toy to her best friend, whom she and her mother were visiting.“[The TSA agent] explained that people sometimes empty squishies and replace the contents with other substances,” the older Trang told Yahoo.Celine Trang shared a TikTok of her child’s squishy butter toy nearly being confiscated. TikTok/@celinetrangTrang knew she needed to comply with the rule.Still, she was left with a stressful dilemma and had to think on her feet.“We have 20 minutes to board, and this is a child’s toy,” she remembered thinking.Trang gave the girl two options — she could either let the TSA agent chuck her beloved toy, or send it home through the airport’s guest services department. Trang feels there should be greater awareness of the rule so other parents won’t have to suffer. TikTok/@celinetrangCassie chose the second option, so the mother-daughter duo were escorted by a TSA agent and security guard outside the checkpoint, where they quickly mailed the forbidden toy before making their flight in the nick of time.Trang, who had “no idea squishies could be flagged,” believes the TSA rule needs to be more widely known, especially as the toy becomes a Gen Alpha must-have.“There should be more awareness before families get to the airport,” she said. “Parents shouldn’t have to find out at the checkpoint with a crying child and a boarding clock ticking.”And if misery loves squishy company, Trang and her daughter have some new BFFs.TikTok is loaded with dozens of similar videos, some featuring children having actual meltdowns after being separated from their beloved fidget friend.“PSA: Do not bring squishies or Needohs through TSA unless you want to lose them forever [and] deal with a crying child through the airport,” TikTok user @everyday.with.erica captioned her vid, which shows a collection of pink squishy toys being sternly handled by a TSA agent.Even adult fans of the fad have been made anxious by the travel policy.“I heard TSA is confiscating squishies, will my dumpling make it?!” posted @hannahmichelle555, though the influencer managed to squeak through security undisturbed. The butter squishy is just one of the viral toys. amazon.comFor worried parents with kids’ whose toys don’t fit that bill, how can they make sure their children’s prized possessions make it to their destinations safely? In August, the TSA released a specific announcement about traveling with the gel-filled toys.“Gel-filled toys that appear to have less than 3.4 ounces of gel or liquid and meet 3-1-1 requirements are permitted in your carry-on bag and must comply with TSA policy for liquids, gels, and aerosols,” the announcement reads. “They must fit in a quart-size resealable bag, with your other liquids, gels, and aerosols.”Celine Trang shared a video of her daughter’s giant butter squishy toy being confiscated by the TSA in a video posted to TikTok on June 16, 2026. TikTok/@celinetrangThe 3-1-1 rule allows 3.4 oz. or smaller individual containers in one quart-sized bag per traveler. If travelers are too anxious to chance their child’s happiness with a carry-on, parents can put the toys in their checked luggage to avoid a potential meltdown, with one internet tip advising to pack them between soft clothes to avoid any tearing mishaps.Squishy manufacturers are also discouraging sly parents from trying to skirt the rules by freezing the toys to comply with the rule, warning it will cause the inner material to degrade.Instead, toy companies are encouraging parents to buy more squishies specifically for travel.“Most Needoh contain a gel or liquid and exceed 3.4 oz., except our Needoh Teenies, which are all under the limit,” Paul Weingard, president of Schylling, which produces Needoh, said in an interview with Parade. “Also, our Snowball Crunch is filled with cornstarch and not a liquid so that’s acceptable.”Parents can tell their kids “no” when asked to bring squishies along on a trip.

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's High-Tech Security at New Ohio Mansion New

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's High-Tech Security at New Ohio Mansion

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce aren’t taking any chances when it comes to feeling safe in their new Ohio mansion.Page Six has exclusively learned that the couple have set up a warning alarm surrounding their new digs.“A neighbor approached the house and got a voice warning about not passing onto the property after getting too close to the house,” a nearby neighbor shared. Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, seen here on a September date night in New York City, are taking their security seriously at their new Ohio home. Tatiana / BACKGRIDThe couple, pictured together in March at the iHeart Music Awards, set up a voice activated warning if anyone gets too close to their property. Kevin Mazur/Getty Images for iHeartRadioBefore getting married in July at Madison Square Garden, Swift and Kelce, both 36, purchased the 21,000 sq. foot lakefront mansion back in March for $5.35 million in Bratenahl — which is miles away from where Kansas City Chiefs player grew up in Cleveland Heights. The eight bedroom, 11 bathroom property sits along Lake Erie and comes equipped with a game room and a theater.Despite the couple making it clear that they don’t want people getting too close, they haven’t caused any sort of commotion moving in, we’re told.“The village is a relatively secluded lakefront property. Something may have been set up at that particular home which is their private estate, but in terms of any additional fencing for the village, I’m not aware of that,” veteran realtor in the area, Patricia Knight Gary of Howard Hanna Realty, exclusively told Page Six.The couple purchased a $5.35 million Bratenahl home, seen above, before their wedding. FOXThe mansion sits on Lake Erie and has eight bedrooms and 11 bathrooms. Google MapsAccording to Knight Gary, there’s already a security presence to keep residents safe in the area, though with the celebrities moving in, more may be on the way.“It does have a small police force that gauge and patrol the village on a regular basis,” she added. “And then even at the condos [down the street], there is 24 hour security, so I would anticipate that there might be some discussion in terms of increasing that.”The Ohio home is just the latest on the growing list of places Swift and Kelce own real estate, and with their busy schedules, it sounds like it won’t be their main one.The couple, seen above in June 2026, own several homes around the country. Bruce Glikas/WireImagePage Six previously reported they will be splitting their time between their many homes. (Pictured: Swift and Kelce at the 2024 US Open.) GC Images“Right now, Travis’ Leawood [Kansas] home is his and Taylor’s primary residence and a big home base for them especially while he’s still playing for the Chiefs,” a source exclusively told Page Six earlier this month. Swift also has home bases in Nashville, Rhode Island and Beverly Hills, as well as her Tribeca apartment, according to the source, “So they have plenty of options depending on where they need to be.”While it remains to be seen just how much time Swift and Kelce will spend at their new home, Knight Gary shared the neighborhood is excited to see if they can catch a glimpse of the famous newlyweds.Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, who held hands tightly here in May in New York City, have a 24-hour security force already in their new neighborhood. GC ImagesTaylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s new home, seen above, could increase the value of other homes in the area, according to a local real estate agent. FOX“We found out publicly when everyone else did [about their move],” Knight Gary told us.She added, “We’re waiting to see what impact this will have in terms of the additional traffic, additional people, and the village, but I think we certainly understand that this is not their full-time home either, so we have no way of knowing at this point just what the impact will be. It’s almost a wait and see, quite frankly.”According to the real estate agent, properties in the area could very easily rise in price thanks to their new neighbors.“I would think that certainly the residents and those who are selling would certainly have some hope that this might do something to increase values, but it is very difficult to gauge and anticipate it at this point.” Community GuidelinesWelcome to the Page Six Community! Our community is about connecting people through open and thoughtful conversations. Ms Rachel Slams Ed Sheeran Over Macklemore's Tour Ouster New

Ms Rachel Slams Ed Sheeran Over Macklemore's Tour Ouster

Published 23:42 15 Sep 2026 GMT+1Ms Rachel joins the outcry against Ed Sheeran after Macklemore was pulled from his North American datesBeloved children’s educator and YouTube superstar Ms Rachel has publicly condemned Ed Sheeran after the singer dropped rapper Macklemore from his North American stadium tour over onstage remarks supporting Palestine. The controversy erupted after Macklemore—who was opening for Sheeran’s Loop tour at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey—used his performance to deliver a passionate speech calling for a "Free Palestine" and performed his protest track, "Hind's Hall," against a backdrop of images depicting devastation in Gaza.Following pushback from pro-Israel groups and reported pressure from stadium venue owners, tour promoter Messina Touring Group confirmed Macklemore had been removed from the remaining support dates to prevent venues from cancelling the shows entirely. The decision has triggered severe fallout across the music industry, with multiple supporting acts—including Oscar and Grammy winner Finneas, singer-songwriter Aaron Rowe, and Irish band Beoga—announcing they are withdrawing from Sheeran’s tour in solidarity with Macklemore.AdvertEd Sheeran was directly criticised by Ms.Rachel over the situation ( Earl Gibson III/Deadline via Getty Images)Now, Ms Rachel—real name Rachel Anne Accurso—has weighed in with an uncompromising statement on Instagram, taking aim directly at Sheeran for acquiescing to venue demands.Sharing a text image to her platform, Accurso wrote: “Ed Sheeran had an opportunity show that we won't be bullied into punishing people for supporting Palestine. Instead he caved to people who refuse to accept what the world knows. A genocide is happening in Gaza. We all need to speak out against it.”In the post's accompanying caption, the educator, who has long used her massive online platform to advocate for children caught in conflict zones, doubled down on the disparity in public outcry.“If more than 20,000 white children were killed in another part of the world, everyone would be shouting about it at their concerts,” Accurso stated. “Treating some children’s lives as less worthy of outrage is racist. Silence during a genocide is not neutral.”The viral creator's comments mirror points raised by Macklemore himself in a lengthy multi-page statement addressing his removal. The rapper revealed he had held a week of "difficult conversations" with Sheeran, a close friend of 13 years, but noted that venue owners had issued an ultimatum threatening to shut down entire tour stops if he remained on the bill.Macklemore specifically pointed to New England Patriots and Gillette Stadium owner Robert Kraft, claiming the billionaire had led efforts among venue owners to block him from performing. Kraft subsequently defended the decision, citing concerns over antisemitic rhetoric and divisiveness.Sheeran has yet to issue a direct public statement regarding Macklemore’s removal or the subsequent wave of artist departures from his tour.Featured Image Credit: Nathan Congleton/NBC via Getty ImagesTopics: Ed Sheeran, Music, Politics, Israel, Celebrity

Teen's Harrowing Battle with Rabid Beaver at Maryland Park Captures Attention New

Teen's Harrowing Battle with Rabid Beaver at Maryland Park Captures Attention

A teenager underwent multiple surgeries after a rabid beaver attacked him while he was visiting a state park in Maryland with his family.Dominick Cebula, 13, was enjoying a swim at Cunningham Falls State Park and looking at fish underwater July 26 when he felt the animal latch onto his chest and refuse to let go.“He grabbed its head and a leg, and he tried to get it off of him,” his father, Jeff Cebula, told WUSA 9. “At that point, he kind of felt that it was locked onto him. And then it started shaking its head, kind of like a dog would do.” Dominick Cebula, 13, is recovering from severe wounds and nerve damage after a rabid beaver attacked him during a family trip on July 26 at Cunningham Falls State Park in Frederick, Maryland. WUSA9The frantic teen was able to free himself from the beaver’s toothy grasp, but as he backed away it struck again, lunging and biting his right hand. After fighting it off a second time, Dominick was airlifted to Johns Hopkins Hospital to have his wounds treated and receive a course of rabies post-exposure treatment.“It’s not just one shot,” Jeff Cebula said. “It’s multiple shots around each bite site.”The beaver later tested positive for rabies. The teen endured three surgeries to treat wounds the animal left on his chest and hands, as well as repair severe nerve damage he suffered in the attack. The incident marred an otherwise delightful 30-year tradition of annual family visits to the park, leaving Jeff Cebula wondering how it could have happened after so many peaceful summers.“I think that now I’m going to be a lot more aware of my surroundings,” he said. The beaver latched onto Dominick’s chest and refused to let go. WUSA9While he’s still on the road to recovery, his wild summer vacation story – with the bite marks to prove it – made him “pretty popular on the first day of school” as he shared his harrowing tale with classmates, his dad told the outlet. The attack on Dominick Cebula was one of three similar incidents involving rabid beavers reported in Maryland in the last few weeks, including an attack on a fisherman at the same park 10 days later.A rabid beaver also attacked a 10-year-old in a canoe at Seneca Creek State Park around 40 miles south. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported a 17% increase in rabies-related inquiries this summer.

Ed Sheeran's Tour Faces Turmoil as Finneas and Others Quit Over Controversy New

Ed Sheeran's Tour Faces Turmoil as Finneas and Others Quit Over Controversy

Published 21:44 15 Sep 2026 GMT+1Ed Sheeran’s Loop Tour has been hit by a wave of dropouts after Macklemore was removed from the lineupUS singer Finneas has become the latest musician to drop out of Ed Sheeran’s tour after Macklemore announced he had been ditched from the lineup over his pro-Palestine comments. Macklemore revealed he’d been dropped from the remaining US dates of Sheeran’s Loop Tour on Monday (14 September) following his on-stage comments about Palestine. During an appearance at New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium on 4 September the US rapper, whose real name is Benjamin Hammond Haggerty, gave a speech calling to 'free Palestine'.His comments were met with a backlash and yesterday, the rapper confirmed he’d been dropped from the remainder of the tour. AdvertIn a lengthy post on social media, Macklemore claimed that he was let go from the tour after New England Patriots’ boss Robert Kraft, who owns the Gillette Stadium, gave Sheeran an ‘ultimatum’. Macklemore announced that he had been dropped from Ed Sheeran's tour (Kevin Mazur/WireImage for MTV)In a statement Kraft said he wouldn’t provide a platform for ‘hate speech’. Sheeran has also broken his silence on the matter, sharing his own statement about the incident, saying: "Macklemore coming off tour was the promoter's decision, it was not mine. Macklemore's contract for the tour was with the promoter, not me."I would never let down the fans who had made plans, nor would I abandon the touring crew and the other support acts and musicians who rely on me for work and to make a living."However, in response to Macklemore being removed from the tour several support acts have now quit. Irish singer Aaron Rowe, who was featuring on the North American leg of performances, announced that he had dropped out.“As Irish people we know all too well about genocide, forced famine and violent occupation,” he said."I cannot stand by and allow billionaires to use their position of power to silence the rightful voices of those who speak up against Israeli genocide and who highlight the savage murder of children."I would lose all respect for myself to carry on as normal. I need to be true to myself and my ancestors who resisted colonisation, and fought for a freedom that I enjoy today in Ireland. FREE PALESTINE."Shortly after Finneas, who is the brother of Billie Eilish, also confirmed he would be dropping out of the Loop Tour. Finneas had been slated to open for Sheeran on six South American dates in late November and early December. In a statement shared on social media, he wrote: “Artists must not be silenced when they speak up for the oppressed. “I have decided to withdraw from my upcoming tour dates with Ed Sheeran. I stand with Palestine and its people.”Rowe and Finneas aren’t the only stars to count themselves out of the tour. Irish band Beoga have also shared a statement saying they will not be taking part. In a statement on social media, Beoga said: “We are Irish people who understand colonialism. As founding members of the Irish Artists for Palestine movement, we are committed activists for justice and will continue to be.”Danish pop band Lukas Graham also confirmed it would be exiting the tour just moments after Finneas made his announcement. “We should be able to speak about war, about civilians being killed, about children who deserve to grow up. Wherever they live. Whatever flag flies over them,” they wrote on Instagram. “I can’t put these words out into the world and carry on with this tour as things stand. We’re withdrawing from the remaining dates.”Featured Image Credit: John Shearer/Getty Images for The Recording AcademyTopics: Ed Sheeran, Music, Celebrity, Palestine
