Disneyland's Iconic Ride Faces Shutdown: What Needs to Change? New

Disneyland's Iconic Ride Faces Shutdown: What Needs to Change?

Disneyland must swap out the gas-powered engines in the ride cars for the iconic Autopia ride by early next year or the park will be forced to shutter the attraction, according to local reports. The park must comply with California’s strict emissions regulations by February 2027, according to the Orange County Register.  Autopia was one of the original attractions of the Anaheim theme park when it opened in July 1955, and the only one left in Tomorrowland.Honda, which sponsors the ride, forgot to certify the ride’s engines in an apparent administrative error in 2023, the MouseChat website reported.Disney then contacted the California Air Resources Board, which issued a violation in 2024, forcing the park to pay a $56,250 fine and change the ride.Disney told the Register the error had no impact on the environment. The company told The Los Angeles Times that the vehicles will switch to electric by next year.“As the industry moves toward alternative fuel sources, we have developed a roadmap to electrify this attraction and are evaluating technology that will enable us to convert from gas engines in the next few years,” Disney said in 2024.Disney imagineers are working on the design and engineering of the electric ride vehicles, officials said, according to the Register. Disneyland’s classic Autopia ride faces closure if it doesn’t ditch gas engines for electric by early next year. Reality TV Stars' Secret Wedding in Croatia Shocks Fans! New

Reality TV Stars' Secret Wedding in Croatia Shocks Fans!

Blake Horstmann and Giannina Gibelli have officially found their happily ever after beyond and away from the reality TV cameras. The Bachelorette alum, 37, and the Love Is Blind alum, 33, tied the knot during an intimate wedding in Croatia on Saturday, June 20, surrounded by alums from both reality franchises, including Jason Tartick, Astrid Loch, Alexa Lemieux, Colleen Reed and Raven Ross. Horstmann and Gibelli began dating in December 2021 after costarring on season 1 of the Paramount+ series All Star Shore. Us Weekly confirmed in January 2022 that the couple were officially an item, though they initially had to keep their romance under wraps since the reality show hadn’t premiered yet. “We had to first keep basically six months of our relationship private, so that was fun in a sense because we didn’t have the public pressure, we didn’t have all the eyes on us, we could just kind of be ourselves,” Horstmann exclusively told Us in October 2022. “But it was hard too because it’s never fun to hide the person you love.” Horstmann also revealed one of the keys to his and Gibelli’s relationship was their ability to communicate. “We both handle conflict incredibly well,” he explained. “I’ve never had a relationship where, you know, if you’re in a fight … or conflict, instead of holding grudges or doing whatever, we talk it out. Or even if it’s, we’re not able to talk [it] out now, we go to separate rooms, we cool down and we come back and we talk it out. It’s kind of the first time too where we don’t have the same fight over and over because we’re able to talk it out and we get over it and we come to a conclusion, if you will.” https://www.instagram.com/p/DZ0m5mSG_du/?igsh=MzRlODBiNWFlZA%3D%3D After nearly two years together, Horstmann and Gibelli announced in November 2023 that they were expecting their first baby. The duo welcomed their son, Heath, in March 2024. Later that year, Gibelli hinted at the couple’s plans to eventually expand their family. “I want the whole basketball team. I really do,” she exclusively told Us in August 2024. “I literally popped him out and I was like, ‘Let’s do it again!’” Horstmann ultimately proposed to Gibelli during an October 2024 trip to Madrid, Spain. “Our love story has been everything I’ve always dreamt it would be and more,” she told People the following month. “As soon as I met Blake, I knew he was my soulmate and I know the universe was always leading me to him. Being together forever and creating our family is literally the joy of my life.” Horstmann, for his part, gushed: “We are over the moon and we can’t wait to be married in front of our loved ones.” Gibelli and Horstmann confirmed in July 2025 that they were planning a destination wedding for the summer of 2026. “I’m a very small and intimate kind of gal. Also, it’s far away,” she exclusively told Us at the time. “So you know who your people are. Whoever’s going to show up, I know you’re my people!” Horstmann chimed in, “I think we’re going to invite a decent amount, but I think it’s going to end up being kind of an intimate, intimate [thing], it’s going to be fun.”

Zendaya's Surprising Moment of Admiration for Tom Holland Revealed New

Zendaya's Surprising Moment of Admiration for Tom Holland Revealed

A source has divulged that Tom Holland’s viral performance of “Umbrella” was the exact moment Zendaya became “smitten” with her now-husband. The “Euphoria” actress was said to have fallen “hard for” Holland after witnessing his fishnet-clad, rain-soaked 2017 drag performance of Rihanna’s “Umbrella” during an episode of “Lip Sync Battle,” according to a source for the Mail on Sunday. The insider reportedly told the newspaper that the daring performance — complete with fireworks — “sealed the deal” for the “Greatest Showman” star, 29. “It’s not just sexy but it shows how amazingly talented he is,” the source told the outlet. “It takes a lot of confidence for a straight guy to pull off drag.” A source revealed that Zendaya “fell hard” for Tom Holland during his viral “Lip Sync Battle” performance of Rihanna’s “Umbrella,” as seen above. BACKGRIDThe lip-sync “sealed the deal” for the “Euphoria” star, they told the Mail on Sunday. BACKGRIDDuring the performance — which has since gone viral — the “Dune” actress could be seen gaping and laughing in disbelief as Holland performed sultry choreography in black frilly shorts and a latex corset top. “When he was announced as Spider–Man, people were taken aback because he’s slightly wimpy,” the source told the outlet. “But what he lacks in stature he more than makes up for in talent.”They added of the famous moment, “You can see the shock on her face but then the admiration. I’m sure it’s something they will show their kids one day.” Reps for Zendaya and Holland did not immediately respond to Page Six’s requests for comment on Saturday. “It takes a lot of confidence for a straight guy to pull off drag,” the insider told the outlet. BACKGRIDThe source said the performance “shows how amazingly talented he is.” BACKGRIDThe report emerged just days after the “Spider Man: Far From Home” actor, 30, confirmed he and Zendaya are husband and wife after months of speculation. During an interview with Esquire published Tuesday, the “Avengers: Endgame” actor was asked if he had to clarify to family that AI photos of them at a wedding celebration were bogus. “No, because they were all there,” Holland said, adding, “That’s all you’ll get on that.”Holland made no secret of the fact that marriage to the Emmy winner has been good to him. Holland confirmed he secretly married Zendaya in an Esquire interview published June 16. They’re seen here in a 2023 social media upload. zendaya/InstagramZendaya, seen here in March in Paris, first sparked marriage rumors in February by wearing a simple gold band. Period.”The power couple was first romantically linked back in 2017 amid filming of “Spider-Man: Homecoming,” though they didn’t go public until years later, in 2021.In February, Zendaya set the rumor mill on fire by wearing a simple gold band instead of her multi-carat engagement ring during an outing in Beverly Hills. Her stylist Law Roach, subsequently told “Access Hollywood” at the SAG Actor Awards in March that “The wedding has already happened,” adding, “You missed it. It’s very true.”

Heartbreaking Words from Daveigh Chase’s Mom After 'The Ring' Star's Shocking Death New

Heartbreaking Words from Daveigh Chase’s Mom After 'The Ring' Star's Shocking Death

Daveigh Chase’s mother, Cathy Chase, has broken her silence after The Ring child star’s shocking and tragic death at 35. “I was devastated. It felt like something inside of me squeezing all of the air out of me, and at the same time, It felt like I was exploding outwardly,” Cathy, who last saw Daveigh in 2019, told Daily Mail in an interview published Friday, June 19. “I let out this guttural scream and I just was running, and these weird sounds were coming out of me, like, primeval sounds. I went out into the backyard, and I was screaming, "No, no, no, no!" I am in so much pain but I hope her soul heard me.” Daveigh’s boyfriend, Roy Hernandez, announced on Wednesday, June 17, that the actress had died one day prior. He claimed that Daviegh had meningitis and an infection in her blood that causes sepsis, a life-threatening illness that can cause organ failure. Days earlier, Hernandez launched a GoFundMe campaign to cover Daveigh’s medical expenses. “Daveigh was diagnosed with meningitis and several serious blood infections. Her condition has become critical, and the doctors have told me she may not have much time left,” he wrote in the fundraiser description. “All she ever wanted was a place where we could live together, feel safe, and be happy. Now, more than ever, I want to give her that sense of home and peace in her final days.” Cathy, for her part, claimed to the Daily Mail that she found out about Daveigh’s death through the media after years questioning her daughter's health. “I would just put her name in the coroner's [search system] and see if her name came up and if somebody had her somewhere,” Cathy recalled to the outlet. “I would look at their list of unidentified bodies. It was very difficult, but you do everything you can as a mother.” According to Cathy, Daveigh allegedly struggled with substance abuse issues after injuring her back in a 2016 motorcycle accident. “She was seeking drugs and was partying with the wrong people,” Cathy claimed. “I never kicked my daughter out. She wanted freedom and these people got her hooked on some drugs. That was the beginning.” Cathy further claimed that she last saw Daveigh in October 2019. “She was completely gone, like, out of her mind. I honestly thought there was something wrong with her,” Cathy said. “My daughter was never diagnosed with mental health other than PTSD, but the drugs took hold of her.” Daveigh is survived by her parents, her brother and her boyfriend. Cathy also helped identify the Donnie Darko actress’ body earlier this week. “[The hospital chaplain and I] were able to lay hands and pray,” Cathy told the Daily Mail. “Technically, we were touching the glass, but it's as close as we could get, so we were able to lay hands and pray for her. It was a beautiful experience, and, and I feel very blessed, too, have been able to share that with my daughter.” If you or someone you know is struggling with substance abuse, contact the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) National Helpline at 1-800-662-HELP (4357).

When he reported the abuse to Mike Argiros, he was ignored and put on “work sanction,” claimed the victim, who testified against Geer at a 2024 federal criminal trial.Music teacher Paul Geer was sentenced to 27 years in prison. Once at the school, K9 dogs were used to “pursue and forcibly return” any kids who tried to escape, the victim said in the lawsuit filed against the Argiros, the village of Hancock, the local police and others.Michael Argiros claimed in depositions that he was not aware of any reports of abuse while at the school, according to a report. At 85, Ann-Margret's Need for Speed Knows No Fear New

At 85, Ann-Margret's Need for Speed Knows No Fear

At 85, Ann-Margret still has a need for speed. The “Bye Bye Birdie” and “Viva Las Vegas” legend is opening her personal archives to fans, partnering with Julien’s Auctions to sell cherished keepsakes, household items and glamorous Bob Mackie-designed costumes beginning June 23.One of the sale’s crown jewels is her custom 1997 Harley-Davidson Sportster XL883 Hugger, adorned with a mauve-and-daisy design and ridden by the star for more than 20 years. When asked by Fox News Digital what riding means to her, the actress, without missing a beat, declared, “Freedom, freedom, freedom!”Ann-Margret noted that she loves the “speed” and still happily rides today.“Back in Sweden, my uncle, my mother’s brother, he had a big motorcycle,” she said. “I watched him, and of course, I asked him if I could ride with him. And I did. And that was it. I had to have one of my own.”Ann-Margret speaks during the screening for “Bye Bye Birdie” during the 2023 TCM Classic Film Festival on April 15, 2023, in Los Angeles, California.  Getty Images for TCMA full-length portrait of Swedish-born actress and singer Ann-Margret sitting on a motorcycle outdoors is seen, circa 1965.  Getty ImagesWith zero hesitation, Ann-Margret replied, “Nope,” when asked whether she was ever scared.“Isn’t that something?” she said. “I never have been. I love the speed. I try not to go too fast, although I do love the speed. I’m joyful when I get on that bike. I don’t get scared. That’s the problem!”A devoted motorcycle enthusiast since the 1960s, Ann-Margret has spent decades chasing adventure on two wheels, both on set and off. In one of her most iconic images, photographer Douglas Kirkland captured the star in 1971 racing down a Las Vegas highway on a chopper, dressed in a patriotic showgirl ensemble and knee-high boots. And if the star gets any second glances from no-nonsense bikers, she doesn’t seem to notice.“I’m so busy making sure that I ride my bike correctly, I don’t notice things like that!” she quipped.Ann-Margret’s 1997 Harley-Davidson Sportster XL883 hugger motorcycle is pictured. Julien's AuctionsThat independent streak extends well beyond the open road. At her house, guests can expect to find a sign that reads, “You can tell a Swede, but you can’t tell her much,” which was put up by her late husband, Roger Smith.“It’s true,” she laughed. “I’m a rebel. And I’m happy. I’m happy with my life. I had 54 great years with Roger. I’m a happy person. And I enjoy my work. It’s not work to me. I’m so deeply appreciative of my fans. I do understand that they understand me. I’m serious about being an entertainer, but again, it’s not work to me. It’s joy.”Ann-Margret has never been one to play by the rules. One item up for auction is an ivory-and-orange gown with a low V-neck that she wore in 1963 when she appeared on “The Ed Sullivan Show.” Ann-Margret is pictured as Kim McAfee and Jesse Pearson as Conrad Birdie in the 1963 film “Bye Bye Birdie.” Corbis via Getty ImagesShe wore the same ensemble to sing “Happy Birthday” to President John F. Kennedy in 1963 at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York City, following in Marilyn Monroe’s footsteps a year later.“It’s such a magnificent dress,” she said. “And I had the audacity to sing ‘Baby, Won’t You Please Come Home’ [to the president]. I was very, very young. And that audacity? Yeah, I had a good time.”The memory of performing for Kennedy remains tied to another milestone from that chapter of her life. Ann-Margret described casting her first ballot for Kennedy as one of the many thrills of her life.Ann-Margret sings “Isn’t It Kinda Fun” on the set of the 1962 American musical film “State Fair” in New York City, on April 8, 1962.  Getty Images“I was very excited about voting,” she said. “It will always be a special moment for me. And I love my guys and girls [from the USO]. I surely remember all the trips that I made. They all still mean the world to me.”Many of Ann-Margret’s Bob Mackie dresses at the auction helped solidify her status as a Hollywood sex symbol, a title she has no qualms about.“Well, if men think I am sexy, then that’s fine,” she beamed. “That’s fine with me.”There’s no denying that Ann-Margret has remained young at heart over the years. Another item up for auction is a signed 1979 book penned by Arnold Schwarzenegger titled “Arnold’s Bodyshaping for Women.” The two starred in the 1979 comedy “The Villain.”(L-R) Sherry Yard and Ann-Margret attend the screening of “Bye Bye Birdie” during the 2023 TCM Classic Film Festival on April 15, 2023, in Los Angeles, California.  Getty Images for TCM“The one thing that I can’t really keep [up with Arnold] really is having dinner by seven o’clock,” she said. “But he’s amazing. The proof is in the pudding with him. He practices what he preaches.”Like Schwarzenegger, Ann-Margret credits discipline and longevity for helping sustain a decades-long career. She said she remains amazed by the enduring support of her fans, admitting she is “humbled by it all.”“I had been working nonstop all through those years, and here I am,” she said. “I still get very nervous before I do something. But it’s excitement. I’m much better about nerves today than I was when I was 18. And I was thriving. I guess I have [also] been very good at hiding it. Once I start singing and dancing, I am so into it that I just feel confident.”And Ann-Margret has no plans to slow down anytime soon.“Even when I was four or five years old, I was constantly moving,” she said. “I was always moving. I moved a lot, and I keep on moving. I’m a happy person, especially when I move.”That outlook has fueled her for decades. Ann-Margret previously told Fox News Digital that it’s no secret her love for Harley-Davidsons has kept her feeling forever young.“When I was ten years old, I would ride on the back of [my uncle’s] bike with him,” she recalled at the time. “He would take me to the Norwegian border, and we would go into Norway. There’s no way I could forget that motorcycle.”“I’ve got a lot of energy,” she reflected. “It doesn’t come in a bottle. I am just blessed that my mother and father gave me such great energy. And there’s no negativity here. They instilled in me all of these wonderful things that I still carry with me. You don’t whine about things. You just go out and do the things that you love. And I just feel blessed with the life that I’ve been given.”

Jennifer Aniston's Heartfelt Tribute to a TV Legend: What She Revealed New

Jennifer Aniston's Heartfelt Tribute to a TV Legend: What She Revealed

Jennifer Aniston is mourning the death of legendary TV director James Burrows. “Oh boy … Papa Burrows. The hardest thing about writing this is that you spent a lifetime making people feel loved, and now it feels impossible to put all of that love into a few paragraphs,” Aniston, 57, wrote via Instagram on Saturday, June 20. “He called us his ‘kids’ —  ‘Where are the kids?’ ‘Let’s see if the kids can make the joke work.’ No pressure. ❤️” Burrows died on Friday, June 19, after a brief undisclosed illness at age 85. James is survived by his wife, Debbie Easton Burrows, and their four kids. “His own incredible children were generous enough to share him with all of us who were lucky enough to experience his unicorn presence,” Aniston added on Saturday. “He was a father figure to me. He always checked in on me. He worried about me, celebrated me, taught me, guided me and held me through the hardest times and the best of times. He spoiled us rotten.” She continued, “Most of all, he taught us — the kids — how important it is to love and respect one another. To take care of each other. To have each other’s backs and support each other, no matter what. And we did just that.” Burrows, who co-created Cheers, also directed numerous Friends episodes during the late-90s, early-aughts TV series’ heyday. Aniston, for her part, notably starred on the sitcom as Rachel Green, opposite Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, David Schwimmer and Matthew Perry. (Perry died in 2023 of an accidental ketamine overdose. He was 54.) “On that show, [the test audience ratings] was through the roof,” Burrows said on the “Conan Needs a Friend” podcast in 2022, hinting Friends would end up a massive hit. “They loved those characters.” He added, “I [directed] the first, I think, three or four [episodes] and there's a story about me taking the cast to Vegas because I knew there was something special about this show. You know that happened on Will & Grace, that happened on Cheers. You can sense, in doing the shows, whether the audience reacts to it and I knew then and there how good that show was.” As for Aniston, she will always hold her memories of Burrows dear.  “I miss your voice. I miss your laugh. I miss your brilliance,” she concluded in her social media tribute. “Wherever you are, I hope someone is asking, ‘Where are the kids?’ ❤️.”

JD Vance Exposes Trump's Unspoken Dress Code: What You Didn't Know

Vice President JD Vance is pulling back the curtain back on President Donald Trump’s strict rules for Cabinet members, specifically the traditional dress code.Speaking on the “Hang Out with Sean Hannity” podcast, Vance explained that Trump’s classic style rules — including a disdain for brown shoes — are rooted in the belief that public officials must honor the institutions they serve.“The president has a certain sense that you ought to respect the place, you ought to respect the institution, respect the office. And one of the ways you do that is by dressing like a normal person,” Vance said in the episode released Thursday. “And I think that’s — it’s a very old-fashioned thing.”According to Vance, the president expects his team to always project professionalism, drawing a contrast with the style of many modern-day politicians. He laid out some of the rules, telling Hannity that Trump almost always wears a navy suit, black shoes and a solid tie.Speaking on the “Hang Out with Sean Hannity” podcast, JD Vance explained that Donald Trump’s classic style rules are rooted in the belief that public officials must honor the institutions they serve. It’s always black shoes,” Vance said. “Like, he’ll bust the chops of some of the Cabinet members if they’ve got brown shoes on.”Earlier this year, Trump confirmed that he sometimes buys his officials new shoes during an interview on “The Brian Kilmeade Show.”“When they tell me they have a problem, I say, ‘Let me get you a pair of shoes,'” Trump told Kilmeade in March.Vance noted he’s seen the president comment on the attire of other officials and even his own family members, including the “Zelensky moment.” “Well, I mean, he always has — it’s always a navy suit. It’s almost always a solid tie. It’s always black shoes,” Vance told Hannity of Trump’s style choices. Hang Out with Sean Hannity/ NewsDuring a meeting in the Oval Office, Ukrainian President Zelenskyy was asked by a correspondent why he chose not to wear a suit.At a follow-up White House meeting in August, Zelenskyy wore more formal attire than his usual military-style clothing. During that exchange, a reporter told Zelenskyy he looked “fabulous in that suit,” before Trump added, “I said the same thing.”“That was not a good moment for him,” Vance said of Zelenskyy, referring to the tense exchange between the Ukrainian president and US officials. “And it’s funny because things kind of worked out. I think, you know, we were able to repair that relationship.”JD Vance conducts a briefing in the James S. Brady Press Briefing Room of the White House in Washington, DC, on June 18, 2026. MediaPunch / BACKGRIDHe also recalled a time when Trump commented on his son Don Jr.’s attire at a 9/11 memorial during the 2024 campaign.“They’re reading out the names. But there’s — at one point, the president turns around and looks at Don Jr. And Don has like, a spread collar on. And the president’s like, ‘Oh, that’s a pretty wide collar there, Don,’” Vance said.“And you can tell, like, it just was absolutely a dig. So I’ve always — navy suit, black shoes and a conventional collar,” he added.

Mary-Margaret Humes' Heartfelt Tribute: The Dawson's Creek Moment That Stirs Emotions New

Mary-Margaret Humes' Heartfelt Tribute: The Dawson's Creek Moment That Stirs Emotions

Dawson’s Creek alum Mary-Margaret Humes is remembering her TV son, James Van Der Beek, ahead of Father’s Day 2026, just five months after the actor’s tragic death. “Wishing all of the amazing dads throughout this vast universe a Happy Father’s Day weekend,” Humes, 72, wrote via Instagram on Saturday, June 19, sharing a throwback Dawson’s poster with Van Der Beek and John Wesley Shipp. “My advice? Give big meaningful hugs and tell them you love them … a shout-out to simpler times with @vanderjames @johnwesleyshippjr.” Sharing the upload to her Stories, Humes added “TV family” and “Forever friends” hashtags. Humes and Shipp, 71, played the parents of Dawson (Van Der Beek) on Dawson’s Creek, which ran for six seasons from 1998 to 2003. The Dawson’s cast lost one of their own in February when Van Der Beek died following a battle stage III colorectal cancer. He was 48. “Rarely am I at a loss for words … today would be the exception. James, my gracious warrior, you fought a hard battle against all odds with such quiet strength and dignity,” Humes wrote via Instagram at the time, mourning Van Der Beek’s death. “I will always love and admire you for that. Our last conversations, merely a few days ago, are forever sitting softly in my heart for safe keeping.” She continued, “To our extended Dawson’s Creek family of friends … please be respectful of our silences at the moment as Beautiful Kimberly and family have asked for peaceful privacy for now.” James is survived by his wife, Kimberly Van Der Beek, and their six children. “Yesterday was three months since we lost @vanderjames. To say I'm heartbroken is a severe understatement,” Kimberly, 44, wrote via Instagram last month. “Words just don't capture what grief is. The comforts of shock have worn off.  The reality is settling in ... and I miss him. We all miss him. Yet, there is a different kind of magic in the air. I feel him. I know him more deeply.” Kimberly further thanked her and James’ loved ones for their support after the difficult time. “The outpouring of support has been tremendous. It's held our family in the most beautiful of ways,” she said. “You all went absolutely above and beyond anything I could have ever expected in supporting us and honoring James. I am deeply grateful.” Kimberly and her kids have also received support from James’ Dawson’s costars Humes, Michelle Williams, Katie Holmes, Joshua Jackson and Busy Philipps. “I think that the perspective shift once you lose one friend is huge, and [it] really sort of instills in you that every day is all you have,” Philipps, 44, exclusively told Us Weekly earlier this month of grieving James’ death. “[You realize] you need to live your life with that understanding and move through the world in a way that reflects that you get that, so I do try to do that.”

Obama's Bold Vision: The Design That Split Opinions New

Obama's Bold Vision: The Design That Split Opinions

CHICAGO — One of the people who helped design the towering Barack Obama Presidential Center in Chicago’s South Side told Fox News Digital that boldness was the 44th president’s goal in the construction of what has become a polarizing finished product.“The architects knew with the client that they wanted to do something bold at the top of the tower, and the vision of the speech came to life,” Chris Bird, a Washington, DC based structural engineer, told Fox News Digital just before the site opened to the public on Friday.Specifically, Bird designed the upper quadrant of the tower, comprised of quotes from various speeches delivered by Obama during his two terms in office. The 91 words wrap around a corner of the building and make for a unique look that has been both praised and ridiculed. There are 433 individual letters, which Bird said each stands at around five feet tall. The Barack Obama Presidential Center is pictured on its opening day in Chicago, Illinois, on June 19, 2026.  REUTERSFormer US President Barack Obama addresses the audience during the opening ceremony of the Obama Presidential Center in Chicago, Illinois, on June 18, 2026. VICTOR HILITSKI/EPA/Shutterstock“Working with the design architects and also their graphic designers to figure out how to shape and move a speech, splice it and put it on a building is actually really unprecedented,” Bird said. “There’s no architectural precedent, in my opinion.”Fox News Digital spoke with more than a dozen of the thousands of people who packed the 19.3-acre campus during its public opening on Friday, who used words like “phenomenal,” “breathtaking,” “amazing,” “futuristic” and “unique” to describe the center’s design. The center has been ripped by online detractors as a “monstrous insult to architecture, a “concrete nightmare” and a “monstrosity.”Former President Obama speaks at the opening ceremony of the Obama Presidential Center in Chicago on June 18, 2026. I mean, the landscape architecture — as well as the building — the landscape architectures is incredible.”A bronze sculpture depicting Barack and Michelle Obama waving to crowds is featured outside the entrance of the 225-foot Museum Building tower on the 19.3-acre Obama Presidential Center campus in Chicago, on June 3, 2026. VICTOR HILITSKI/EPA/ShutterstockHe said it invokes emotion in the people he met during the opening festivities.“I mean, it’s nothing but smiles and some tears sometimes. I think everyone finds a bit of themselves that they knew or didn’t know they needed here, which is really special,” he said.Bird certainly disagrees with the characterization that the building is a “monstrosity.”“So, the tower itself is an incredible gesture in the rest of the park,” he said. “We’re reaching toward the sky, it is tall, but it’s not much taller — I mean it’s kind of matched in size by lots of the buildings around this area.”“I think to say that it’s a monstrosity is wrong. I would say that it’s a really grand gesture and a bold statement.”

Taylor Swift's Shocking Wedding Gesture Towards Blake Lively New

Taylor Swift's Shocking Wedding Gesture Towards Blake Lively

We are so getting back together. Taylor Swift and Blake Lively are reportedly rekindling their friendship and it all started with an “olive branch” Swift extended to Lively in the form of an invite to her upcoming wedding with Travis Kelce. The former friends “have spoken on the phone,” an insider told the Daily Mail in a report published Saturday.Taylor Swift (seen above walking through New York City on May 15) reportedly extended an “olive branch” to her former friend Blake Lively by inviting the actress to her upcoming wedding. GC Images“Everyone around Taylor is aware that Blake could attend. She may not, but that won’t be because she isn’t welcome,” a source said. (Pictured above is Lively at the “Fendi Presents the Baguette 26424 Re-Edition” event in May 2026). GC Images“Everyone around Taylor is aware that Blake could attend. She may not, but that won’t be because she isn’t welcome,” the source added. Per another source: “Blake is on the cusp of getting a second chance, and they have had some loose conversations to test the waters to get the trust back. Blake is slowly getting back into the fold now that Taylor is having a change of heart.”The “Simple Favor” actress, 38, reportedly has her dress picked out and is likely to attend as a third source claimed Lively does not “want to be seen as not going to the wedding” because “her image is very important to her.”Another source added that the pair “have spoken on the phone” as Lively (pictured here walking alongside Swift as they celebrated the pop star’s birthday in December 2023) is “on the cusp of getting a second chance.” GC ImagesAccording to the source, it’s likely that Lively will attend as she does not “want to be seen as not going to the wedding” because “her image is very important to her.” GC ImagesReps for Swift and Lively did not immediately respond to Page Six’s requests for comment. In May, it was reported that Swift, 36, had originally decided to snub Lively from the upcoming ceremony following their friendship fallout over the actress’ “It Ends With Us” legal feud. However, an insider told us at the time there was “a far greater chance” of an invite being extended to Lively now that her sexual harassment case against Justin Baldoni is over. Lively and Swift (seen here walking through New York in September 2023) had a falling out as friends after she was dragged into the actress’ “It Ends With Us” legal feud. GC ImagesIn May, it was reported that Swift (pictured above at Super Bowl LVIII with Ice Spice and Lively) had thought to snub the “Gossip Girl” star from the wedding. Getty ImagesTheir friendship hit a breaking point after Lively pulled Swift into her ugly feud with Baldoni. The actress called the singer one of her “dragons” and sought her support for script changes as tensions flared during production of the movie.Private texts exposed the extent of the rift between Lively and Swift, with unsealed court documents revealing the “Gossip Girl” star tried to mend fences with the singer. The revelations that came from the court documents were also enough to reportedly prompt another of Swift’s formerly close friends — Miles Teller’s wife, Keleigh Teller — to pull back from Swift. However, a source told Page Six that the likelihood of Lively (seen here at a private party with Swift held at Lucalli Pizza in January 2024) getting an invite would be “far greater” now that she’s settled her legal issues. GC ImagesIn addition to Lively, other potential guests expected to attend Swift’s wedding include Zoë Kravitz, Ed Sheeran and his wife Cherry Seahorn, Suki Waterhouse, and others. GC ImagesAccording to one insider, Keleigh chose to put her relationship with Swift on ice after learning of Lively’s “dragons” comment.“Keleigh didn’t want to be a part of it,” an insider told the Daily Mail at the time, adding that she “couldn’t believe they were talking like that to each other.”In addition to Lively, other guests expected to attend the highly anticipated wedding — which is scheduled to take place on July 3 at NYC’s Madison Square Garden — include Zoë Kravitz, Ed Sheeran and his wife Cherry Seahorn, Suki Waterhouse, Benson Boone, the Haim sisters and more.
