JD Vance Exposes Trump's Unspoken Dress Code: What You Didn't Know New

JD Vance Exposes Trump's Unspoken Dress Code: What You Didn't Know

Vice President JD Vance is pulling back the curtain back on President Donald Trump’s strict rules for Cabinet members, specifically the traditional dress code.Speaking on the “Hang Out with Sean Hannity” podcast, Vance explained that Trump’s classic style rules — including a disdain for brown shoes — are rooted in the belief that public officials must honor the institutions they serve.“The president has a certain sense that you ought to respect the place, you ought to respect the institution, respect the office. And one of the ways you do that is by dressing like a normal person,” Vance said in the episode released Thursday. “And I think that’s — it’s a very old-fashioned thing.”According to Vance, the president expects his team to always project professionalism, drawing a contrast with the style of many modern-day politicians. He laid out some of the rules, telling Hannity that Trump almost always wears a navy suit, black shoes and a solid tie.Speaking on the “Hang Out with Sean Hannity” podcast, JD Vance explained that Donald Trump’s classic style rules are rooted in the belief that public officials must honor the institutions they serve. It’s always black shoes,” Vance said. “Like, he’ll bust the chops of some of the Cabinet members if they’ve got brown shoes on.”Earlier this year, Trump confirmed that he sometimes buys his officials new shoes during an interview on “The Brian Kilmeade Show.”“When they tell me they have a problem, I say, ‘Let me get you a pair of shoes,'” Trump told Kilmeade in March.Vance noted he’s seen the president comment on the attire of other officials and even his own family members, including the “Zelensky moment.” “Well, I mean, he always has — it’s always a navy suit. It’s almost always a solid tie. It’s always black shoes,” Vance told Hannity of Trump’s style choices. Hang Out with Sean Hannity/ NewsDuring a meeting in the Oval Office, Ukrainian President Zelenskyy was asked by a correspondent why he chose not to wear a suit.At a follow-up White House meeting in August, Zelenskyy wore more formal attire than his usual military-style clothing. During that exchange, a reporter told Zelenskyy he looked “fabulous in that suit,” before Trump added, “I said the same thing.”“That was not a good moment for him,” Vance said of Zelenskyy, referring to the tense exchange between the Ukrainian president and US officials. “And it’s funny because things kind of worked out. I think, you know, we were able to repair that relationship.”JD Vance conducts a briefing in the James S. Brady Press Briefing Room of the White House in Washington, DC, on June 18, 2026. MediaPunch / BACKGRIDHe also recalled a time when Trump commented on his son Don Jr.’s attire at a 9/11 memorial during the 2024 campaign.“They’re reading out the names. But there’s — at one point, the president turns around and looks at Don Jr. And Don has like, a spread collar on. And the president’s like, ‘Oh, that’s a pretty wide collar there, Don,’” Vance said.“And you can tell, like, it just was absolutely a dig. So I’ve always — navy suit, black shoes and a conventional collar,” he added.

Mary-Margaret Humes' Heartfelt Tribute: The Dawson's Creek Moment That Stirs Emotions New

Mary-Margaret Humes' Heartfelt Tribute: The Dawson's Creek Moment That Stirs Emotions

Dawson’s Creek alum Mary-Margaret Humes is remembering her TV son, James Van Der Beek, ahead of Father’s Day 2026, just five months after the actor’s tragic death. “Wishing all of the amazing dads throughout this vast universe a Happy Father’s Day weekend,” Humes, 72, wrote via Instagram on Saturday, June 19, sharing a throwback Dawson’s poster with Van Der Beek and John Wesley Shipp. “My advice? Give big meaningful hugs and tell them you love them … a shout-out to simpler times with @vanderjames @johnwesleyshippjr.” Sharing the upload to her Stories, Humes added “TV family” and “Forever friends” hashtags. Humes and Shipp, 71, played the parents of Dawson (Van Der Beek) on Dawson’s Creek, which ran for six seasons from 1998 to 2003. The Dawson’s cast lost one of their own in February when Van Der Beek died following a battle stage III colorectal cancer. He was 48. “Rarely am I at a loss for words … today would be the exception. James, my gracious warrior, you fought a hard battle against all odds with such quiet strength and dignity,” Humes wrote via Instagram at the time, mourning Van Der Beek’s death. “I will always love and admire you for that. Our last conversations, merely a few days ago, are forever sitting softly in my heart for safe keeping.” She continued, “To our extended Dawson’s Creek family of friends … please be respectful of our silences at the moment as Beautiful Kimberly and family have asked for peaceful privacy for now.” James is survived by his wife, Kimberly Van Der Beek, and their six children. “Yesterday was three months since we lost @vanderjames. To say I'm heartbroken is a severe understatement,” Kimberly, 44, wrote via Instagram last month. “Words just don't capture what grief is. The comforts of shock have worn off.  The reality is settling in ... and I miss him. We all miss him. Yet, there is a different kind of magic in the air. I feel him. I know him more deeply.” Kimberly further thanked her and James’ loved ones for their support after the difficult time. “The outpouring of support has been tremendous. It's held our family in the most beautiful of ways,” she said. “You all went absolutely above and beyond anything I could have ever expected in supporting us and honoring James. I am deeply grateful.” Kimberly and her kids have also received support from James’ Dawson’s costars Humes, Michelle Williams, Katie Holmes, Joshua Jackson and Busy Philipps. “I think that the perspective shift once you lose one friend is huge, and [it] really sort of instills in you that every day is all you have,” Philipps, 44, exclusively told Us Weekly earlier this month of grieving James’ death. “[You realize] you need to live your life with that understanding and move through the world in a way that reflects that you get that, so I do try to do that.”

Obama's Bold Vision: The Design That Split Opinions New

Obama's Bold Vision: The Design That Split Opinions

CHICAGO — One of the people who helped design the towering Barack Obama Presidential Center in Chicago’s South Side told Fox News Digital that boldness was the 44th president’s goal in the construction of what has become a polarizing finished product.“The architects knew with the client that they wanted to do something bold at the top of the tower, and the vision of the speech came to life,” Chris Bird, a Washington, DC based structural engineer, told Fox News Digital just before the site opened to the public on Friday.Specifically, Bird designed the upper quadrant of the tower, comprised of quotes from various speeches delivered by Obama during his two terms in office. The 91 words wrap around a corner of the building and make for a unique look that has been both praised and ridiculed. There are 433 individual letters, which Bird said each stands at around five feet tall. The Barack Obama Presidential Center is pictured on its opening day in Chicago, Illinois, on June 19, 2026.  REUTERSFormer US President Barack Obama addresses the audience during the opening ceremony of the Obama Presidential Center in Chicago, Illinois, on June 18, 2026. VICTOR HILITSKI/EPA/Shutterstock“Working with the design architects and also their graphic designers to figure out how to shape and move a speech, splice it and put it on a building is actually really unprecedented,” Bird said. “There’s no architectural precedent, in my opinion.”Fox News Digital spoke with more than a dozen of the thousands of people who packed the 19.3-acre campus during its public opening on Friday, who used words like “phenomenal,” “breathtaking,” “amazing,” “futuristic” and “unique” to describe the center’s design. The center has been ripped by online detractors as a “monstrous insult to architecture, a “concrete nightmare” and a “monstrosity.”Former President Obama speaks at the opening ceremony of the Obama Presidential Center in Chicago on June 18, 2026. VICTOR HILITSKI/EPA/ShutterstockBut Bird is pleased by the result and undeterred by criticism.“Now that it’s complete, it feels like it really anchors this site and this neighborhood,” he said. “You know, it’s able to blend in with the park in a way that’s really nice. I mean, the landscape architecture — as well as the building — the landscape architectures is incredible.”A bronze sculpture depicting Barack and Michelle Obama waving to crowds is featured outside the entrance of the 225-foot Museum Building tower on the 19.3-acre Obama Presidential Center campus in Chicago, on June 3, 2026. VICTOR HILITSKI/EPA/ShutterstockHe said it invokes emotion in the people he met during the opening festivities.“I mean, it’s nothing but smiles and some tears sometimes. I think everyone finds a bit of themselves that they knew or didn’t know they needed here, which is really special,” he said.Bird certainly disagrees with the characterization that the building is a “monstrosity.”“So, the tower itself is an incredible gesture in the rest of the park,” he said. “We’re reaching toward the sky, it is tall, but it’s not much taller — I mean it’s kind of matched in size by lots of the buildings around this area.”“I think to say that it’s a monstrosity is wrong. I would say that it’s a really grand gesture and a bold statement.”

Taylor Swift's Shocking Wedding Gesture Towards Blake Lively New

Taylor Swift's Shocking Wedding Gesture Towards Blake Lively

We are so getting back together. Taylor Swift and Blake Lively are reportedly rekindling their friendship and it all started with an “olive branch” Swift extended to Lively in the form of an invite to her upcoming wedding with Travis Kelce. The former friends “have spoken on the phone,” an insider told the Daily Mail in a report published Saturday.Taylor Swift (seen above walking through New York City on May 15) reportedly extended an “olive branch” to her former friend Blake Lively by inviting the actress to her upcoming wedding. GC Images“Everyone around Taylor is aware that Blake could attend. She may not, but that won’t be because she isn’t welcome,” a source said. (Pictured above is Lively at the “Fendi Presents the Baguette 26424 Re-Edition” event in May 2026). GC Images“Everyone around Taylor is aware that Blake could attend. She may not, but that won’t be because she isn’t welcome,” the source added. Per another source: “Blake is on the cusp of getting a second chance, and they have had some loose conversations to test the waters to get the trust back. Blake is slowly getting back into the fold now that Taylor is having a change of heart.”The “Simple Favor” actress, 38, reportedly has her dress picked out and is likely to attend as a third source claimed Lively does not “want to be seen as not going to the wedding” because “her image is very important to her.”Another source added that the pair “have spoken on the phone” as Lively (pictured here walking alongside Swift as they celebrated the pop star’s birthday in December 2023) is “on the cusp of getting a second chance.” GC ImagesAccording to the source, it’s likely that Lively will attend as she does not “want to be seen as not going to the wedding” because “her image is very important to her.” GC ImagesReps for Swift and Lively did not immediately respond to Page Six’s requests for comment. In May, it was reported that Swift, 36, had originally decided to snub Lively from the upcoming ceremony following their friendship fallout over the actress’ “It Ends With Us” legal feud. However, an insider told us at the time there was “a far greater chance” of an invite being extended to Lively now that her sexual harassment case against Justin Baldoni is over. Lively and Swift (seen here walking through New York in September 2023) had a falling out as friends after she was dragged into the actress’ “It Ends With Us” legal feud. GC ImagesIn May, it was reported that Swift (pictured above at Super Bowl LVIII with Ice Spice and Lively) had thought to snub the “Gossip Girl” star from the wedding. Getty ImagesTheir friendship hit a breaking point after Lively pulled Swift into her ugly feud with Baldoni. The actress called the singer one of her “dragons” and sought her support for script changes as tensions flared during production of the movie.Private texts exposed the extent of the rift between Lively and Swift, with unsealed court documents revealing the “Gossip Girl” star tried to mend fences with the singer. The revelations that came from the court documents were also enough to reportedly prompt another of Swift’s formerly close friends — Miles Teller’s wife, Keleigh Teller — to pull back from Swift. However, a source told Page Six that the likelihood of Lively (seen here at a private party with Swift held at Lucalli Pizza in January 2024) getting an invite would be “far greater” now that she’s settled her legal issues. GC ImagesIn addition to Lively, other potential guests expected to attend Swift’s wedding include Zoë Kravitz, Ed Sheeran and his wife Cherry Seahorn, Suki Waterhouse, and others. GC ImagesAccording to one insider, Keleigh chose to put her relationship with Swift on ice after learning of Lively’s “dragons” comment.“Keleigh didn’t want to be a part of it,” an insider told the Daily Mail at the time, adding that she “couldn’t believe they were talking like that to each other.”In addition to Lively, other guests expected to attend the highly anticipated wedding — which is scheduled to take place on July 3 at NYC’s Madison Square Garden — include Zoë Kravitz, Ed Sheeran and his wife Cherry Seahorn, Suki Waterhouse, Benson Boone, the Haim sisters and more.

Savannah Bananas' Jackson Olson Finds Love in the Most Unexpected Way New

Savannah Bananas' Jackson Olson Finds Love in the Most Unexpected Way

Savannah Bananas star Jackson Olson never thought he’d meet a woman like Maggie Sajak — and now the athlete believes she’s The One. “Last year, I had kind of given up on finding a girl I wanted to be with,” Olson, 28, wrote via Instagram on Thursday, June 18. “I remember thinking to myself that if I’m gonna date someone I want them to have the same morals I have and to have a kind soul. To like me for me and not for what I post on social media. To love their family and enjoy spending time with them. To not take life so seriously and not care what other people think.” According to Olson, “somehow” he found all of that — “and more” — in Sajak, 31. “I’ve never met someone I thought I could spend every day with until I met her, and a major reason why is because we can be our true selves around each other,” he gushed on Thursday. “If you think you haven’t found The One yet and that it’s ‘too late,’ trust me it’s not.” Olson continued, “Sometimes life only gives you what you truly want when you’ve been patient enough. So the moral of the story? Don’t rush it, and never settle. And yeah … loving Disney was an added bonus for us both.” Olson and Maggie, the daughter of Wheel of Fortune icon Pat Sajak, revealed in April that they were dating. “I’m a very weird person, I’m a very out there person. I’m not going to hold back who I am as a person, and people seem to enjoy that company,” Olson exclusively told Us Weekly last month, addressing his whirlwind romance. “I’m happy that I’m able to be myself truly in every aspect now. … It’s really cool because we’re obviously living very different lives right now on the opposite side of the country, but we’re able to come together and just have an awesome relationship.” Olson further revealed that both he and Maggie were committed to making their relationship work despite long distances. “It’s just about planning and making sure you’re setting aside time to see each other and make really cool experiences happen because a start of a relationship never happens again,” he told Us. “You only get one chance at a start of a relationship.” The Dancing With the Stars season 35 competitor has even earned the approval of his girlfriend’s dad, 79. “He’s a great guy,” Olson told Us in May, revealing that he’s met Pat in person. “Everybody’s nervous to meet the father of the person they’re dating, or mother or both.”

She was pictured, at one point, adding a navy blue Los Angeles Dodgers ball cap to the ensemble, and was later snapped carrying it.Kardashian previously rocked the ultra-blond look back in 2022, when the Skims founder donned the “Gentlemen Prefer Blondes” star’s iconic dress to the Met Gala. Artists Flee Freedom 250: What's Really Happening? New

Artists Flee Freedom 250: What's Really Happening?

A spokesperson for the Great American State Fair reacted to multiple artists cancelling Freedom 250 concerts due to the event’s association with President Donald Trump. “[The event is] really about the Americans that are going to show up to celebrate our country. That’s what it’s really about,” Freedom 250 spokesperson Julia Friedland told DC News Now’s Sunrise on the Hill on Friday, May 29. “We come together as Americans to celebrate our country.” The Great American State Fair will be a 16-day celebration of America’s 250th anniversary in Washington D.C., featuring Independence Day celebrations on July 4, exhibitions, parades and a controversial UFC event at the White House. A series of Freedom 250 concerts are billed as “nonpartisan” events, though questions have been raised since the group’s website includes pictures of the president, 79, and first lady Melania Trump. Freedom 250 lists the White House and numerous government agencies — including the Departments of Homeland Security and War — among its "founding government members," as well as corporations linked to the Trump administration, such as Palantir, UFC and Oracle, as sponsors. As the Great American State Fair has taken shape, country music icon Martina McBride, rocker Bret Michaels and more artists booked for the Freedom 250 concerts have pulled out to avoid controversy. “Unfortunately, what was presented to us as a celebration of our country has evolved into something much more divisive than what I agreed to be a part of,” Michaels, 63, said in a statement on Thursday, May 28. “Concerns have also been raised regarding the safety of my fans, band, crew, family and myself, including threats that are completely unfounded and unforgivable. Because of that, I have made the difficult decision to step away from this performance.” McBride, 59, confirmed via Instagram that she too was “presented with an opportunity to perform at a nonpartisan event but that turned out to be misleading.” During Friday’s Sunrise on the Hill appearance, Freedom 250 spokesperson Friedland responded directly to the artists who’ve cancelled their appearances. “You know, we’re all united by the fact that we are Americans and we should be proud of our country. I certainly know I am,” she said. “We live in the best country on Earth, and this will be a celebration of our country. And it’ll be, it’ll have fun for everyone. Like I said, the FIFA Fan Zone, we have activations from sponsors such as Northrop Grumman, John Deere. They actually are joining us to celebrate America’s 250th birthday. So there will be activations, fun for kids, for adults, for families alike.” Friedland was asked whether artists knew about Freedom 250’s connections to the Trump administration when they were originally booked. “I can’t speak to negotiations that were made for performers. But what I can say is we’re selling it the same way to every single person in this country,” she responded. “This is a celebration of America, 250 years, glorious years. It’s inherently nonpolitical. We’re coming together to celebrate our country. We live in the best country on Earth, and we’re putting on a huge birthday party because America deserves it. And it is free and open to the public. And everyone is invited.” Pressed further on whether Freedom 250 is genuinely nonpartisan, Friedland insisted that there is nothing “partisan about America being around for 250 years.” “We have a history, obviously, but we have a president that wants to celebrate 250 years of America. And that’s exactly what we’re doing. ,” she said. “And that’s how it was sold to performers. We’ll have military bands, military ensembles as well.” The Freedom 250 spokesperson added, “We will have representatives from every state and territory in the United States to come and represent their culture, what makes their state and territory unique. So it sold the same way to everyone that we’re celebrating America’s 250th birthday. We’ll have military bands, orchestras, talented performers. We will be announcing more in the coming weeks and days, and we will have something for everyone there.” Not all of the acts booked for Freedom 250 have cancelled their appearances at the Great American State Fair, as Vanilla Ice, Flo Rida and Fab Morvan of Milli Vanilli are all still scheduled to perform during the music festival. Sunrise on The Hill airs on DC News Now at 6 a.m. ET weekdays.

Anne Heche Crash: Shocking Twist as Home Renter Denies $2M Settlement with Late Actress’s Son New

Anne Heche Crash: Shocking Twist as Home Renter Denies $2M Settlement with Late Actress’s Son

The person living in the home the late Anne Heche crashed into days before her 2022 death is reportedly denying claims she reached a multi-million dollar settlement with the late actor’s son. According to court documents obtained by TMZ and outlined in a Friday, June 19, report, Lynne Mishele — who rents the Los Angeles home and was living in the residence on August 5, 2022, when Heche crashed her Mini Cooper into the house, causing a fire — claims she has not reached a “tentative settlement" with Heche’s son and administrator of her estate, Homer Laffoon, for damages and emotional distress. In November 2025, Us Weekly exclusively reported that Laffoon filed court docs requesting six months to legally wrap everything up regarding his mother’s crash. “The relatively unusual circumstances of [Heche’s] passing (a vehicle crash into a home) and the resulting potential litigation required [Lafoon] to devote a substantial amount of time to evaluating claims and negotiating a potential settlement to move the administration forward,” Laffoon’s lawyer wrote in the report. The attorney added that Laffoon “has secured a tentative agreement that will need Court approval, once finalized. [Lafoon] is cautiously optimistic that the creditor claims can all be resolved without litigation.” In her new filing, Mishele reportedly admits that while an agreement was discussed with Lafoon’s team, she claims she “needs to see a complete accounting of Anne’s estate before agreeing to any deal,” per TMZ. According to Mishele, she has not received any accounting information from Heche’s estate “even though [Heche] passed away nearly four years ago.” Laffoon was left in charge of his mother’s estate and finances after she died on August 11, 2022, from smoke inhalation and thermal injuries sustained from the fiery car crash days prior. She was 53. (The actress was kept on life support until August 14, 2022, when she was matched with various organ recipients for organ donation.) A final autopsy and toxicology report produced by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner revealed that the actress had cocaine but no alcohol in her system at the time of the fatal crash. In the 2025 filing, Laffoon revealed that his mother’s estate received three claims filed against it over his mother’s crash — two by homeowners and one by the renter. Each claim filed over the incident seeks $2 million in damages and distress. Another creditor claim was filed by Heche’s ex, actor Thomas Jane, who claimed she owed him $157,000 on a 2022 loan. In response, Laffoon claimed he submitted “the appropriate paperwork with SAG-AFTRA to take possession of royalty payments made to [Heche] or her business entities for her prior works in the entertainment industry.” Heche’s son further claimed that her estate is “insolvent,” made of only modest assets left behind totaling $200,000. Laffoon and his half-brother, Atlas Tupper, are the only two beneficiaries of the estate. Tupper’s dad, James Tupper, initially opposed Laffoon taking over as administrator of Heche’s estate. Heche’s ex claimed the actress sent him an email that appointed him as administrator. Laffoon objected to the email being enforceable. The judge ended up siding with Laffoon and giving him control of Heche’s estate.
