YouTuber Arrested After Disturbing Encounter with College Student Sparks Outrage

A man in Florida was arrested after he allegedly chased a college student with autism into a dorm bathroom and repeatedly flicked his face while filming for a YouTube video. Jack LaRoche has been charged with abuse of a disabled adult, false imprisonment and giving a false name to law enforcement. LaRoche was arrested following the incident that took place on August 22 on the University of North Florida campus. Police officers met with the victim after he reported that a man he did not know started following him outside of his dorm, according to a probable cause arrest affidavit viewed by Law & Crime. He then went inside of the building and the man – who has since been identified as LaRoche – continued to follow him. The victim said he tried to go into a friend's room, but the friend was not home to let him in. He then ran to a bathroom and hid in a stall before LaRoche went into the next stall and peeked his head over. He then allegedly started talking to the victim. LaRoche allegedly entered the stall the victim was in and started "flicking" the victim in the face, which caused his glasses to fall off, per the affidavit. Police said that the defendant then instructed the victim to set a timer on his phone for 10 minutes. LaRoche allegedly told the victim to stay in the stall until the timer went off and threatened that he would "come back and get you” if he left earlier. The victim said he stayed in the bathroom until the timer went off because he was "too afraid to leave due to the suspect's statements," according to the affidavit. After he left, he went to the police station to report what had happened. Police officers later found LaRoche while he was walking on campus. He allegedly told the officers that his name was "Jack Jones" and that he was a student at the school. When he was asked which dorm he lived in, LaRoche was unable to name the building. UNF Spinnaker, the school’s newspaper, has since reported that LaRoche is not a student at the school. It’s not currently clear why he targeted the victim. He was then taken into custody and the victim identified him as the person who assaulted him. LaRoche eventually told the officers his real name. He also explained that he was on campus to shoot videos for YouTube and said he was just "f***ing around." He has since denied that he assaulted the victim. Following his arrest, he was taken into custody at Duval County Jail on a bond of about $22,500. LaRoche is next scheduled to appear in court on Monday, September 14. It’s not currently clear if LaRoche has entered a plea or retained legal counsel following his arrest.

Kim Zolciak's Son Faces Life-Changing Court Decision at Just 15

Kim Zolciak’s 15-year-old son, Kroy “KJ” Biermann Jr., is facing at least 25 years in prison without parole if convicted as an adult on the aggravated charges against him, according to a new court filing.“The aggravated charges carry a mandatory minimum sentence of 25 years in prison, up to life,” KJ’s attorney, Jason Sheffield, wrote in the Sept. 8 filing exclusively obtained by Page Six.Sheffield said the sentencing court “cannot probate any portion of the 25 years” and that KJ “would not be eligible for parole.”“He would have to serve every day of each 25-year sentence, if run consecutively,” the attorney added.Kim Zolciak’s 15-year-old son, Kroy “KJ” Biermann Jr. (seen here in his mugshot), is facing at least 25 years in prison without parole if convicted as an adult on the aggravated charges against him. Trump's Ban on Canadian Whisky Sparks Outrage Across the Border New

Trump's Ban on Canadian Whisky Sparks Outrage Across the Border

It’s a last call on Crown Royal.President Trump has upped the ante on the ongoing tariff saga, this time issuing a full ban on certain Canadian products. The president signed several proclamations restricting most alcohol coming in from the neighboring country. This means Americans will no longer sip on the following Canadian favorites: malt beer, sparkling wine, vermouth and cider. Additionally, some spirits like bourbon, rum, gin, vodka and tequila are also outlawed.Crown Royal — the high-end, Canadian whiskey — is also on the banned list. Trump has issued a ban on a slew of Canadian alcohol Getty ImagesIn a press release, the White House described the move as necessary to “better serve the public interest.” The ban will take effect on September 29, so products sitting on store shelves will likely still be there until all are sold. But the new rules don’t stop at alcohol — Trump also added bans on nonalcoholic beer, whey protein concentrates, molasses, certain dairy-related products and larger-capacity motorcycles. In addition to the ban, the president added another set of 50% tariffs on iron or steel pillars, posts, beams, girders, aluminum bars, rods, tubes, and pipes. Mattresses, electric lamps, motorboats and even golf carts made it on the list. The administration issued the sweeping levies following Prime Minister Mark Carney’s retaliatory tariffs that went into effect yesterday. Canada’s counter-tariffs were announced two weeks ago after the trade war with the US reached a standstill. Canada and the US have been in a trade war for nearly 18 months AFP via Getty ImagesCarney said the tariffs will range between 15%, 25% and 50%, with the rate for each product matching the US dollar-for-dollar.Items facing 50% tariffs will include products like American milk, perfume, golf clubs, steel, aluminum, jackets and T-shirts.Products subject to 25% tariffs are cheese, carpets, certain household appliances like stoves and air conditioners, while forklifts and some industrial molds will face 15% tariffs. This new move by Trump means the US has essentially put retaliatory tariffs on top of Canada’s retaliatory tariffs. If you’re having trouble keeping up — that’s because it’s confusing.Canadian whisky is now banned from the United States ETHAN CAIRNS/The Canadian Press via APCanada’s tariffs were added after the US put levies on items like Canadian milk, hockey sticks, alcohol, plywood and other goods. And just last month, negotiations collapsed, further intensifying the 18-month-old trade war.Days before the tariffs were announced, the Prime Minister said Canada was “at war” with the US. “We were attacked. You’re at war when you get attacked. We got attacked,” Carney told reporters on August 22. “That’s fine. We’ve got the reserves. We’ve got the resilience. We’ve got the plan. We’ve got the focus. We will respond.”Trump took to Truth Social yesterday, blasting the once-friendly neighbor and claiming it “has been ripping us off for years.” The president urged Canada to restore “full and fair reciprocity for American Farmers and Companies.”Until then, Americans might want to try a Kentucky classic — Woodford Reserve.

AA/ABACA / Abaca Press / Profimedia autor: 09. sep. 2026. 22:03 > 09. sep. Znate li šta to znači? Znate li ko ima to u svetu? Nema, par zemalja možda. Takav pogotovo. Opet ponavljam, politika i to, ne interesuje me. Imam vezano za tu priču, to me izluđuje. To me ne nervira, nego plaši. Podele... To me strašno plaši. Trump's Jet Drama: Emergency Slide Mishap Delays RNC Departure

President Trump’s departure to the Republican midterm convention was delayed as his Qatari-gifted jet was dealing with a problem with its emergency slide, raising concern about the cause of the delay. The president sat in Marine One on the tarmac of Joint Base Andrews for about 20 minutes while the slide was deployed from the new blue, red, white and gold jet and stayed out, extending from the plane to the tarmac.Confusing matters, the older blue and white 747 that serves as Air Force One rolled up and stopped a couple hundred meters behind the Qatar-gifted plane. The old Air Force One then deployed its front and rear steps.U.S. President Donald Trump boarding Qatari-made Air Force One for a trip to the Republican National Midterm Convention on Wednesday. REUTERSTrump downplayed the matter. When he finally exited his helicopter he told reporters at JBA that staff were just testing the slide.“They were doing a check on the slide, you know, the emergency. So I think it takes about 15 minutes,” he said.President Trump’s departure to the Republican midterm convention was delayed as his Qatari-gifted jet was dealing with a problem with its emergency slide, raising concern about the cause of the delay. Trump boarded the plane for his trip to Dallas and took off without any issues. The emergency slide of Air Force One is deployed ahead of U.S. President Donald Trump’s trip to the Republican National Midterm Convention on September 9, 2026, at Joint Base Andrews, Maryland. REUTERSIn August, the president, when departing a NATO meeting in Turkey, slipped off of his new plane via a catering truck to board a different military aircraft for the departure. Reporters traveling with him were unaware of the bait-and-switch.The slide was deployed from the right-hand-side door of the Qatari plane, opposite the left-hand-side door that Trump normally enters. That right-hand door was the one in Turkey that the president slipped out of amid a threat from Iran.Trump, however, expressed his confidence in the new plane despite the fact it doesn’t have some of the anti-defense measures as the older Air Force One.“Yeah I am,” he responded when asked if he was sure it was safe. “Or I wouldn’t be on it.”It’s unclear why the slide was deployed. Typically, on a commercial airliner, it can take up to two days to repack the slide and fit it back into its storage area. The plane then usually has to undergo an inspection before it can fly again.Air Force staff did get the slide deflated and removed it, carrying it away from the plane so it could take off. The White House referred The Post to the president’s comments when asked why the test was conducted and if the older Air Force One was brought out in case it was needed to transport Trump.Trump has said he new plane will go out of service for a month or two later this year for security enhancements. He plans to take it to Ireland this weekend for a short trip to the Emerald Isle.

Kim Zolciak’s 15-year-old son, Kroy “KJ” Biermann Jr., is asking to be transferred to juvenile court after being indicted on seven felony charges in his sexual assault case, Page Six can exclusively reveal. The teen’s legal team filed a motion to “transfer to juvenile court and for confidentiality proceedings” on Tuesday, according to the Fulton County Court. The move signals that KJ’s attorneys are asking the Superior Court to transfer his case to Georgia’s juvenile justice system, where he would no longer be prosecuted as an adult and could face less severe consequences if convicted.Kim Zolciak’s 15-year-old son Kroy “KJ” Biermann (seen here with his mom) is asking to be tranferred to juvenile court in his sexual assault case, Page Six can exclusively reveal. kimzolciakbiermann/InstagramKJ (seen here with Zolciak) and his team of lawyers filed the motion on Tuesday, the docket shows. kimzolciakbiermann/InstagramKJ’s lawyer, Jason Sheffield, told Page Six ON Tuesday that they expect to “enter a not guilty plea to all charges” at the arraignment hearing on Oct. 14, and that they planned on filing the motion so he could be “tried as a juvenile.”“It is difficult to comprehend that a 14- or 15-year-old child can be held in detention for a month or longer simply waiting for a bond hearing,” Sheffield told Page Six in a statement. “But that detention is a direct consequence of the detective’s decision to arrest him on charges of this magnitude.”Last week, KJ was indicted by a Georgia grand jury on seven felony charges: aggravated child molestation, aggravated sodomy, aggravated sexual battery, three counts of sexual battery against a child under 16 and false imprisonment. The teen (seen here with his mom) was indicted on seven felony charges. kimzolciakbiermann/InstagramKJ (seen here in his mugshot) was arrested on Aug. 19 for aggravated sodomy and aggravated sexual battery. KJ allegedly made “multiple” attempts to have “sexual intercourse with her by trying to pull down her pants,” the court documents stated. She also accused him of forcing oral sex and digitally penetrating her vagina. University of Iowa Mourns Tragic Loss of Beloved Band Member New

University of Iowa Mourns Tragic Loss of Beloved Band Member

A member of the University of Iowa marching band has died after suffering heat stroke during the Hawkeyes’ season-opening win over Northern Illinois University last weekend. Derek Phillips, a junior from Dubuque, Iowa, collapsed during the game on Saturday, September 5, shortly before the band was set to perform its halftime show. Temperatures in Iowa City reached 94 degrees that day as the university adjusted several athletics start times to account for the heat. Phillips was taken to University of Iowa hospital, where his family made the decision to take him off life support on Tuesday, September 8. “Derek brought so much light, humor and kindness into this world,” his family said in a statement announcing his death. “He was a phenomenal musician — whether he was playing jazz ,singing his heart out, or marching under the lights, music was the language of his soul. He just had the absolute summer of his life touring in drum and bugle corps. We are so grateful for that experience.” Iowa marching band director Eric Bush and School of Music director Tammie Walker released a joint statement on Tuesday, sharing their condolences, thanking medical personnel and offering counseling to students. “Derek Phillips was our mellophone section leader, a beloved member of the School of Music horn studio, and the kind of friend, student, and musician that represents the very best of what it means to be a Hawkeye,” the statement read. The statement continued, “Losing a HMB family member is one of the most difficult tragedies we will experience. We are grateful to his parents, Sara and Brian, for providing regular updates throughout the weekend to HMB staff and the students who love him. We will continue to walk the journey together, and we will continue to provide support and resources to our students to ensure they are getting the care they need. The Hawkeye Marching Band and the School of Music are strong and resilient because of the people within.” Bush and Walker also emphasized in their statement that “there is nothing more important than the safety of our students.” “Their well-being is always at the top of my mind,” they said. “We are teaching them more than music and marching — and we are a family. I told the band on Saturday, when we gathered after we departed from Kinnick Stadium, ‘As a parent, the care I have for my own son extends to every single marching Hawkeye.’” The band announced during the game that it would skip its halftime performance, but did not mention a medical emergency. "The health and safety of our students, staff, and fans are our top priority,” the band posted via X. “Due to the heat, HMB will forgo our halftime performance today."
