Celeste Rivas’ Family Demands Death Penalty for D4vd Amid Harrowing Accusations

The family of Celeste Rivas said they are in support of singer D4vd facing the death penalty as he prepares to stand trial accused of her murder. “If the death penalty were activated, it would be perfect for this kind of human being, devoid of feelings and emptiness inside, and without conscience, who only caused pain to our daughter, our family, and the world that supports our precious daughter,” Rivas’ family said in a Sunday, September 6, statement to The California Post, issued one day before what would have been Rivas’ 16th birthday. The statement added, “But that’s not in our hands, but rather in God’s, and the California justice system.” D4vd — real name David Anthony Burke — was arrested in April and charged with one count of murder in connection with Rivas’ death, as well as one count of continuous sexual abuse of a child under the age of 14 and one count of unlawful mutilation of human remains. The body of 14-year-old Rivas was found in the trunk of a Tesla registered to the singer in September 2025. During an arraignment hearing on August 31, D4vd pleaded not guilty to murder. At the time, the singer also changed his legal team, replacing high-profile celebrity lawyers Blair Berk, Marilyn Bednarski and Regina Peter with a public defender. “This morning, the court granted our request to withdraw as counsel and appoint the Los Angeles County Public Defender’s Office, after it was determined David qualified for appointed counsel,” Berk, Bednarski and Peter said in a statement, per Rolling Stone. “We continue to support David and his defense against these serious charges. We are grateful that the Los Angeles County Public Defender’s Office had taken over the representation and that David has a highly capable and committed team of attorneys and investigators behind him.” In its case against D4vd, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office alleged that the singer killed Rivas on April 23, 2025, one day after they had a “lengthy argument” over text messages. The prosecution alleged that D4vd stabbed Rivas to death in the garage of his Hollywood Hills home before using a chainsaw and other objects to dismember her body. Prosecutors argued that he “amputated her left ring and pinky fingers because her ring finger contained a tattoo of his name. Her fingers have not been recovered. Defendant then placed her head and torso into the cadaver bag he purchased. He placed her limbs into a garbage bag, which he deposited into his front trunk, laying the cadaver bag on top. For several weeks, or possibly months, defendant left the victim’s body to decompose inside his Tesla.” At the time of his April arrest, D4vd’s former legal team denied the singer was involved in Rivas’ death. “Let us be clear — the actual evidence in this case will show that David Burke did not murder Celeste Rivas Hernandez and he was not the cause of her death,” the singer’s attorneys told TMZ.

Lefty rapper Macklemore has sparked fury after going on an anti-Israel rant while opening for Ed Sheeran at MetLife Stadium over the weekend.The Israeli-American Council started a petition Sunday calling for Sheeran to drop the “Thrift Shop” singer from the remainder of his tour, accusing the rapper of spreading antisemitic propaganda.Macklemore, whose real name is Benjamin Hammond Haggerty, made calls to “Free Palestine” and accused Israel of committing genocide in Gaza at the New Jersey Meadowlands show.“I wanted to stand up here on stages across America and say two words that are near and dear to my heart: Free Palestine,” the Grammy-winning rapper said as he wore a keffiyeh draped over his shoulders. The rapper Macklemore, seen here performing last month, is under fire for spewing an anti-Israel rant when he opened for Ed Sheeran at New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium this past weekend. AFP via Getty ImagesAnti-Israel images are flashed on the screen during the concert.The rapper also performed his song, “Hindi’s Hall,” a reference to the pro-Palestine protests at the Columbia University campus, while images from Gaza were played on giant screens.Moshe Creditor, 21, a longtime Sheeran fan who got surprise tickets for his birthday to attend the concert with his mom, said he was expecting Macklemore to pull some kind of stunt but that the scope of the incident left him horrified — and his mother in tears.“Imagine my shock when he got 80,000 people to chant ‘Free Palestine’ while putting on a song and music video to go with it,” Creditor told The Post. “I was completely disappointed, and it ruined what was supposed to be a great night,” the concertgoer said. “My mom got me those tickets, and she was just crying.”  Creditor, who touted that he was among the top listeners of the English artist Sheeran on Spotify, said he hoped the mega-star would end all collaborations with Macklemore. Creditor’s father, Rabbi Menachem Creditor, said it was a mistake for Sheeran and his team to have Macklemore open the concert for him, given the rapper’s past anti-Israel remarks. The incident infuriated hordes of concertgoers.“They now have a responsibility to disavow Macklemore and apologize to all the fans they left down,” the rabbi said.  The sentiment was shared by the Israeli-American Council, which is calling on Sheeran to distance himself from Macklemore and keep politics out of his concerts. “This was an Ed Sheeran concert – not a political rally, not a protest, and not an activist event,” said the IAC, which represents more than 15,000 Israeli-Americans.“The issue is not whether Macklemore has the right to hold political views. The question is where to draw the line when an opening act uses a global concert platform to advance a one-sided political agenda,” the group added.“This becomes even more troubling when the message relies on selective imagery, biased messaging, and disputed claims presented to a massive audience as fact, without context or complexity.”The Grammy-winning Macklemore, who wore a keffiyeh while opening for Sheeran, appears here wearing the traditional Mideast scarf during a Dublin show in June. It was really horrifying,” they told Ynet.  “It was even harder because friends of ours were killed in the war and murdered at Nova. It was like a knife in the heart to hear him sing that way and hear people cheering.” Mark Treyger, CEO of the New York Jewish Coalition, noted that the incident comes at a time when antisemitic hate crimes are running rampant following the Oct. 7, 2023, terror attacks on Israel.To turn a major concert into a platform for “one-sided political messaging” only helps to divide people rather than address the issues at hand, Treyger warned. “Ed Sheeran and his team should heed these serious concerns,” he told The Post. “Artists with extraordinary platforms also have extraordinary opportunities to use their talents to heal, bring people together and lower the temperature rather than raise it.”  Macklemore has repeatedly slammed Israel for the casualties in Gaza while performing on stage. He first called the war “a genocide” while speaking at a pro-Palestinian rally in Washington in 2023, and later chanted “F–k America” during a similar rally in 2024 over then-President Joe Biden’s support of Israel. Israel has been accused of committing genocide in Gaza, where the war has claimed more than 73,000 lives inside the Palestinian enclave, according to the Hamas-run ministry of health, which does not differentiate between civilians and terrorists. Israel said it only tagets terrorists and makes efforts to warn civilians to get out of the area before an attack.The IAC called for not only Macklemore to be removed from Sheeran’s remaining tour dates, but for all venues to establish clear boundaries between entertainment and political performances.  “Jewish patrons should not be subjected to this propaganda,” the StopAntisemitism group wrote on X in response to Friday’s incident.“Fans deserve apologies and refunds. Unacceptable.”

Rob Reiner's Posthumous Emmy Win Sparks Emotional Reactions

One of Rob Reiner’s final acting projects before his death is being celebrated among TV’s biggest stars. During the 2026 Creative Arts Emmys on Sunday, September 5, Reiner was honored with a posthumous nomination for Guest Actor in a Comedy Series thanks to his turn as Albert Schnur in season 4 of FX’s The Bear. The late star won, with presenter Wendi McLendon-Covey accepting the award on his behalf as the audience rose to give him a standing ovation. "We all wish he was here," the actress, 56, said. Other actors nominated in the category included Michael J. Fox for Shrinking, Brett Goldstein for Shrinking, Hamish Linklater for Widow's Bay, Christopher McDonald for Hacks and Connor Storrie for hosting Saturday Night Live. During season 4 of The Bear, Reiner’s character, Albert Schnur, was a restaurant franchiser who mentored Ebraheim (played by Edwin Lee Gibson) on how to expand The Original Beef sandwich walk-up window. The episodes were released in June 2025. Rob and his wife, Michele Singer Reiner, were found dead in their Brentwood, California, home on December 14, 2025. The couple’s son Nick Reiner was later arrested and charged in connection with their murders and remains behind bars at the Twin Towers Correctional Facility in Downtown Los Angeles. Nick, 32, who has struggled with addiction and mental health issues over the years, has pleaded not guilty to all charges. The couple’s two other children, Jake, 35, and Romy, 28, continue to mourn the loss of their parents while also trying their best to move forward. “It’s been eight months. It feels like eight years at the same time, and it also feels like eight minutes,” Jake told KABC-TV’s Mark Cota-Robles in an interview shared August 27 on Good Morning America. “Every moment that I wake up, I’m reminded of my reality.” In a Substack essay published in April, Jake further shared the emotions he was feeling as he tried to cope with the death of both parents. “Nothing can prepare you for what it feels like to lose both parents instantly at the same time. It’s too devastating to comprehend,” Jake wrote at the time. “I still wake up every morning having to convince myself that, ‘No, it’s not a dream. This truly is my living nightmare.’ I can’t even begin to put myself in my parents’ shoes, but one thing I keep coming back to is how frightened they must have been.”  He continued, “They were the last people in the world to deserve what happened to them. They deserved to be loved, they deserved to be respected, and above all they deserved to be appreciated for how much they gave to all three of us and to the world.” The 2026 Primetime Emmys air on NBC Monday, September 14, at 8 p.m. ET.

Prema saznanjima Nova.rs, članovi SPS se boje da zbog samostalnog nastupa na izborima neće moći da pređu cenzus, zbog čega deo njih poslednjih nedelja prelazi u Srpsku naprednu stranku. Sve to poklapa se i sa iznenadim vaskrsavanjem pokreta Bogoljuba Karića koji u predizbornoj kampanji okupira gradove širom zemlje, zbog čega se veruje da je upravo on pikirao glasačko telo socijlista. Oglas Socijalistčka partija Srbije (SPS) moguće oktobarske izbore dočekuje u verovatno najvećoj krizi od svog osnivanja, a to se posebno odražava na lokalu.Prema saznanjima Nova.rs, socijalisti posebno na jugu Srbije plaše se da neće moći da pređu cenzus na predstojećim izborima, a situacija nije ništa bolja ni u okolnim okruzima.Taj strah nije neosnovan, imajući u vidu da u junu prošle godine na lokalnim izborima u Zaječaru SPS nije uspeo da pređe cenzus, a ove godine u Sečnju osvojili su tek jedno odborničko mesto. Foto: Printscreen N1 Osim toga, kako Nova.rs saznaje, veliki broj članova SPS plaši se samostalnog izlaska na izbore zbog čega poslednjih nedelja određeni broj njih prelazi u redove Srpske napredne stranke.Nesigurnost prelaska cenzusa prati i velika kriza SPS u Nišu, gde je doskorašnji predsednik niške Skupštine, Igor Novaković u martu ove godine, nakon više od deset godina suđenja, pravosnažno oglašen krivim za zloupotrebu službenog položaja dok je bio direktor Jugoistoka. Igor Novaković / N1 Nakon nekoliko meseci odlaganja, Novaković je 10. avgusta trebalo da se javi na izdržavanje zatvorske kazne. To je i sam potvrdio na društvenim mrežama, gde je pozvao predsednika Srbije Aleksandra Vučića i predsednika Vrhovnog suda da “urgiraju da proces konačno dobije završnicu vanrednim pravnim lekom”.Inače, niški naprednjaci su se nakon osuđujuće presude ogradili od Novakovića koji je bio na drugom mestu liste "Aleksandar Vučić - Niša sutra".Kako to obično biva, nevolje ne dolaze same, pa je isključivanje Branka Ružića iz SPS izazvalo potrese u mnogim odborima socijalista širom Srbije.Samo u poslednjih nekoliko dana više socijalista podnelo je ostavke na pozicije u beogradskim, ali i drugim odborima.Članovi Glavnog odbora Socijalističke partije Srbije (SPS) Milutin Ružić i Mateja Ranković su, zbog isključenja Branka Ružića iz SPS, podneli neopozive ostavku na sve funkcije i članstvo u toj stranci. Milos Tesic/ATAImages Ostavke na sve funkcije u SPS 2. septembra podneo je i bivši potpredsednik Vlade Vojvodine i pokrajinski sekretar za privredu i turizam Ivan Đoković.Visoki funkcioner Socijalističke partije Srbije Andrija Radivojević iz Paraćina takođe je saopštio da je podneo ostavku na sve funkcije u toj stranci, a to su uradili i član Glavnog odbora Socijalističke partije Srbije Dejan Ćurčić i predsednik OO SPS Kuršumlija Milan Stepanović.Ostavke članova SPS nisu zaobišle ni Kosovo, pa je predsednik opštinskog odbora ove stranke u Zubinom Potoku Branko Prodanović napustio stranku i podneo ostavku na sve funkcije.Dok SPS na lokalu primetno slabi sve više, gotovo istovremeno javni prostor okupira lider pokreta Snaga Srbije Bogoljub Karić koji mesecima unazad obilazi gradove po Srbiji, deli novac po ulici, javno obećava posao građanima....Ovoliki njegov uspon posle godina tišine svakako budi sumnju da sve ovo Karić ne radi sam, već uz pomoć vlasti. Njemu su tokom predizbornih poseta po Srbiji širom otvorena vrata lokalnih televizija, ponekad ga dočekuju i ljudi iz SNS, a kako je sam naveo, Pokret Snaga Srbije, posle dužeg vremena ponovo aktivira svoje kancelarije i odbore širom zemlje, navodeći da su za oko 40 dana obnovljena 102 odbora u Srbiji, uključujući i Vojvodinu. Bogoljub Karić / FoNet Ognjen Stevanović Zbog toga se stiče utisak da je Karić zapravo pikirao biračko telo SPS, jer vlast, odnosno Aleksandar Vučić, ne želi da prepusti niti jedan procenat glasova.Imajući u vidu sve ove potrese za kratko vreme, ali i više istraživanja koja pokazuju dramatičan pad rejtinga SPS, postavlja se pitanje u kakvoj poziciji ova stranka, koja decenijama opstaje na vlasti, dočekuje moguće oktobarske izbore.Profesor Fakulteta političkih nauka Zoran Stojiljković kaže za Nova.rs da bez obzira na sve, verovatno postoje proračuni da SPS može da pređe cenzus u nekim koalicionim dogovorima kao na primer SDP-om ili Rasimom Ljaijićem."U SPS dugo traje sporenje s Ružićem i očito da postoji neka vrsta 'pritiska izvan kuće', odnosno od SNS i Vučića da se ta stvar raščisti pre izbornog aranžmana, bojeći se da bi rezultat koji vodi do postizbornog koaliranja mogao dovesti SPS i neke druge u šansu da budu spremni na promenu dresa, da li odmah ili nakon nekog vremena", kaže Stojiljković. Zoran Stojiljković Foto: L.L./ATAImages Sagovornik Nova.rs smatra i da Ružić nije predaleko otišao da bi bio interno jak partijski igrač i da formira neku svoju frakciju ili jasnu grupu."On se zadržao uglavnom na izjavama, pa se procenilo da bi gubitak za stranku bio ispod rizika za prelažnje cenzusa. To su verovatno bili neki odlučujući faktori. Marginalizovanje gubitka postignuto je time što se stranka izjasnila za sopstveni izborni nastup i kandidata, što je smanjivalo štetu. Videćemo šta će se dešavati", kaže Stojiljković.Profesor FPN navodi da je sada budućnost Branka Ružiča izvan Socijalističke partije Srbije. ali da se verovotano ne radi i "naplativoj poziciji" do izbora.Podsetimo, istraživanje CRTA koje je letos privuklo veliku pažnju javnosti, između ostalog je pokazalo da bi jedino Socijalistička partija Srbije (SPS) pored studenata i SNS prešla cenzus i to jedva sa 3,8 odsto glasova. Pur și simplu prin difuzarea parfumului de vanilie în stațiile aglomerate de metrou, ar putea calma mulțimile de navetiști din oraș, cunoscuți pentru iritabilitatea lor, și ar putea reduce vandalismul. Sau poate o adiere de lavandă, a continuat el, pentru a calma anxietățile pasagerilor și a masca mirosurile neplăcute.Răspunsul a fost negativ. Acum, însă, peste jumătate de milion de alegători din landul est-german Saxonia-Anhalt au dat curs ultimei idei a acelui vânzător: să-l aleagă ministru-șef și să acorde partidului său de extremă dreaptă, Alternativa pentru Germania (AfD), puteri extinse pentru a transforma totul, de la programele școlare până la tacticile forțelor de poliție.La doar 35 de ani, Ulrich Siegmund a ajuns de la a vinde parfumuri pe baza unor studii comportamentale fragile la a deveni cel mai eficient demagog al Germaniei de după cel de-al Doilea Război Mondial.Maniera sa degajată, stăpânirea concisă a platformei TikTok și aspectul său tânăr și plin de viață au mobilizat peste 150.000 de persoane care anterior nu votau și erau dezamăgite, sub steagul unui partid clasificat de agenția locală de informații interne drept „în mod cert de extremă dreaptă”.Sondajele estimează că abia una din cinci dintre aceste persoane are opinii care ar putea fi descrise în mod rezonabil ca fiind extreme. Majoritatea covârșitoare a acestora pare să fie formată din alegători care sunt pur și simplu complet alienați de partidele mainstream ale țării și dispuși să parieze pe Siegmund și pe rețetele radicale de schimbare ale AfD.Pe scurt, este una dintre cele mai mari lovituri de marketing politic pe care țara le-a văzut în ultimele decenii.Siegmund s-a născut în 1990 într-o familie romano-catolică și a crescut în Tangermünde, un frumos oraș medieval cu clădiri din cărămidă roșie, situat la 60 de mile vest de Berlin.A urmat o formare profesională și a obținut calificarea de agent de vânzări în comerțul cu ridicata și export. După ce și-a încheiat studiile în 2011, s-a mutat la Berlin și a lucrat timp de trei ani în domeniul marketingului pentru o clinică oftalmologică, înainte de a-și înființa propria companie, Reima AirConcept.Teza lui Siegmund pentru un curs de psihologie a afacerilor la distanță, pe care l-a urmat la o facultate din Hamburg, precum și activitatea din cadrul companiei sale, s-au axat amândouă pe ideea că întreprinderile ar putea influența subconștient comportamentul clienților lor prin intermediul mirosului.O aromă ușoară de piersici sau de loțiune de plajă în vitrina unui magazin, de exemplu, ar putea ridica moralul consumatorilor și îi ar putea face mai dispuși să cheltuiască bani pe produse cosmetice.În același timp, tânărul se îndrepta treptat spre dreapta politică. Inițial membru al Uniunii Creștin-Democrate (partid conservator), s-a alăturat partidului AfD în 2014, la aproximativ un an după înființarea acestuia.În decurs de doi ani, a câștigat un mandat în parlamentul landului Saxonia-Anhalt. Până în 2022, devenise co-liderul grupului parlamentar al partidului. Cu toate acestea, pentru majoritatea alegătorilor din regiune, și cu atât mai puțin din întreaga Germanie, el a fost o figură obscură până anul trecut, când a fost însărcinat să conducă campania electorală a AfD la nivel de land.Siegmund a stăpânit rețelele sociale la un nivel pe care practic niciun politician german din mainstream nu îl atinge, adunând peste 880.000 de urmăritori pe TikTok.Fapt neobișnuit pentru un politician al AfD, se simțea la fel de în largul său și în fața presei tradiționale, schimbând cu veselie amabilități cu reporterii ziarelor naționale. Tocmai acest farmec natural l-a determinat recent pe Der Spiegel, o revistă de știri liberală, să-l numească pe Siegmund „cel mai periculos om din Germania”.Această denumire a părut multora, la momentul respectiv, exagerată. Cu toate acestea, Siegmund a realizat cu siguranță o performanță istorică, extinzând aria de influență a partidului său mult dincolo de bastioanele sale tradiționale și atrăgând aproape jumătate dintre alegătorii cu vârsta sub 30 de ani. Hindistan ilaç düzenleme kurumu, ülkede yaygın olarak kullanılan ve Türkiye, Güney Afrika ve BAE gibi ülkelere ihraç edilen Abhayrab marka kuduz aşısının bir partisini, yapılan etkililik testinde başarısız olması üzerine standart dışı ve potansiyel olarak sahte ilaç sınıfına aldı.Hindistan iç kuduz aşısı pazarının yüzde 40'ını elinde bulunduran üretici firma Indian Immunologicals Ltd (IIL), 4 Eylül tarihli açıklamasında düzenleyici kurum tarafından incelenen şişelerin şirket tarafından üretilmediğini bildirdi. IIL Başkan Yardımcısı Sunil Tiwari, "CDSCO aşı numunelerini Delhi, Mukherjee Nagar'da bulunan ruhsatsız bir konut adresinden topladı." ifadelerini kullandı.Resmi belgelere göre son iki yıldan kısa bir süre içinde sahte Abhayrab ilaçlarında ikinci kez toplatılmaya neden olan bir kriz yaşandı.Şirket, yetkili kanallardan dağıtılan orijinal partinin 83 bin 370 şişeden oluştuğunu, hastaneler ve lisanslı eczaneler dâhil yetkili kanallardan sağlanan ürünlerin bu durumdan etkilenmediğini vurguladı.SAHTE AŞILAR İHRAÇ EDİLDİ Mİ?Abhayrab, Türkiye'deki hastanelerde hayvan ısırması sonrası kuduz önleyici bir aşı olarak kullanılıyor. Ai ka lindur më 4 korrik 1964 në Tiranë, në një familje të njohur intelektuale dhe artistike.VAZHDO LEXIMIN ME POSHTE!Babai i tij, Kristaq Rama, ishte një skulptor i njohur dhe anëtar i Akademisë së Arteve, ndërsa nëna, Aneta Rama, ishte mjeke e njohur në kryeqytet. Kjo trashëgimi familjare i dha Edi Ramës një edukim të bazuar në art, kulturë dhe disiplinë.Që në moshë të vogël, ai tregoi prirje të veçanta për artet pamore dhe sportin, veçanërisht për basketbollin, duke qenë për disa vite pjesë e ekipit kombëtar shqiptar.Pas përfundimit të gjimnazit, ai ndoqi studimet në Akademinë e Arteve në Tiranë, ku u diplomua në degën e pikturës. Talentin e tij si artist e vërtetoi me ekspozita personale në Shqipëri dhe jashtë saj.Në fillim të viteve ’90, me rënien e komunizmit, Rama u përfshi në jetën publike si një intelektual kritik dhe zë reformist. Ai u bë pjesë e debatit politik dhe kulturor për ndryshimet demokratike në vend.Në vitin 1998, ai pranoi postin e Ministrit të Kulturës në qeverinë socialiste, ku fitoi vlerësime për energjinë, stilin e veçantë dhe qasjen moderne ndaj artit dhe trashëgimisë kulturore.Në vitin 2000, Edi Rama u zgjodh Kryetar i Bashkisë së Tiranës, post që do ta mbante për tri mandate radhazi, deri në vitin 2011. Në këtë periudhë, ai u bë i njohur për transformimin urban të kryeqytetit, duke lyer fasadat e pallateve dhe duke ndërtuar hapësira publike moderne.Stili i tij unik, i kombinuar me mënyrën e drejtpërdrejtë të komunikimit, e bëri një figurë shumë popullore, por edhe të diskutueshme në arenën politike.Në vitin 2005, pas humbjes së Partisë Socialiste në zgjedhje, Rama u përfshi gjithnjë e më shumë në politikën e lartë, derisa në vitin 2009 mori drejtimin e partisë.Nën udhëheqjen e tij, Partia Socialiste u konsolidua si forcë kryesore opozitare dhe më pas, në zgjedhjet e vitit 2013, fitoi shumicën parlamentare, duke e bërë Ramën Kryeministër të Shqipërisë.Gjatë qeverisjes së tij, ai ka zbatuar reforma të mëdha në administratë, energji, turizëm dhe drejtësi, duke ruajtur një stil komunikimi të fortë, shpesh të drejtpërdrejtë dhe karizmatik.Edi Rama është gjithashtu autor librash, piktor aktiv dhe i njohur për aftësinë e tij për të kombinuar artin me politikën, duke e bërë një nga personalitetet më të spikatura dhe më kontradiktore të Shqipërisë moderne.
