Gypsy Rose Blanchard Accuses Ken Urker’s Sister of Cashing In on His Death New

Gypsy Rose Blanchard Accuses Ken Urker’s Sister of Cashing In on His Death

Gypsy Rose Blanchard lashed out at Ken Urker’s sister Autumn Urker two weeks after his death.  “I’m tired of being quiet,” Gypsy said in an Oct. 13 Instagram video. “I’m going through the stages of grief, and right now, I’m going through anger. So, this might be a video I might regret later.” Gypsy addressed growing tensions between her and Autumn which she alleged had been occurring for months before Ken was found dead in his Louisiana home Oct. 1. “It’s disturbing how tabloids and media outlets picked up on her BS just because they were related,” Gypsy, who shares daughter Aurora with Ken, said in the footage. “Instead of focusing on the fact that a child lost her father, I lost a partner, a mother lost her son.” “It’s disgusting to see a family member take this as an opportunity to cash in because she didn't make some money to get to Louisiana,” she continued. “And she was never here. She was never here. I spent the entire time with Ken’s family.” And the 35-year-old cherished those times. “The most important thing that I want to say is that I really loved him and he was a really good person,” Gypsy said of Ken in her video. “Secondly, I want to make a point that just because someone is a relative of someone, does not mean that they are privy to any part of that individual’s life—Autumn wasn't close with Ken and Ken wasn't close with Autumn.”She concluded with, “I tried multiple times to make peace with her and it was not working out.” Autumn told the Daily Mail that Ken had suffered in the spotlight due to his relationship with Gypsy.“He had to sleep with a gun every night,” she told the outlet in an interview published Oct. 8. In text messages reviewed by the Daily Mail, Ken allegedly said the gun was for protection after receiving death threats over his relationship.  Autumn also claimed her brother was “humiliated” over recently-leaked prison calls between Gypsy and Ken during her seven-year sentence for the 2015 murder of her mother, Dee-Dee Blanchard. In one 2025 call, Gypsy who was then out of prison, spoke to an incarcerated friend, detailing her violent outburst after allegedly learning that Ken had written a note to an ex-girlfriend. “I go grab a knife in the kitchen, and I go to that headboard, and I stab the motherf—king headboard,” Gypsy said in the call, “and I carve ‘wh—e’ in the headboard.”What Happened to Ken Urker? Ken was found “dead upon arrival” in his Raceland, La., home on Oct. 1, a spokesperson for the Lafourche Sheriff’s Office confirmed to Oxygen.Ken was lying in his bed, “cold to the touch, while his “face and his arms were blue,” according to an incident report.Ken was also surrounded by drug paraphernalia, the report noted, along with a gun and “a brown powdery substance.” “The handgun on the night stand was holstered laying next to two shot glasses and a syringe,” the report read. “Nothing else inside of the bedroom appeared to be disturbed or moved.” Though the case is pending as a toxicology report is completed, Gypsy said that he died of a drug overdose.“I don’t know if it was intentional or not,” she told People. “He was not in a good state of mind lately.” She also spoke out about the public scrutiny he faced."The cruelty directed toward him was something no human being should have to endure,” she shared. “I believe the tremendous weight of that scrutiny and harassment had a profound impact on him, and I hope his passing serves as a reminder that there is a real person behind every screen, every headline, and every comment.”

Florida woman accused of shooting storage worker who offered not to report her

Left: Kandice Jo Pierce (Brevard County Sheriff's Office). Right: Public Storage in Palm Bay, Florida (Google Maps).A 40-year-old woman allegedly opened fire on a Florida storage facility employee after she was caught sleeping in a unit, in violation of the lease agreement.Kandice Jo Pierce is charged with attempted murder. The shooting occurred around 10 a.m. Saturday at Public Storage in the 4000 block of Babcock Street in Palm Bay, the Brevard County Sheriff's Office said.According to a probable cause arrest affidavit, the storage facility employee was doing her morning rounds when she spotted two females who appeared to be living in a unit. The employee told them that they were not allowed to live or sleep in the unit. Pierce told the victim she "was the one that rented the unit and they should be allowed to stay there," police wrote. The employee said if they left, she would not report them to management. The victim began to walk away when Pierce called her back. According to the affidavit, the employee then heard a loud bang and felt pain in her face. She had been shot.Pierce ran away, and the employee ran and hid under a desk, where she called 911 for help. The victim had a small entry wound on her face below the eye. The bullet remained in her face, police said.Cops later found two spent shell casings near the unit.Investigators identified Pierce as the suspect because her name was on the lease.A detective from a nearby agency who tried to help Pierce with housing about a month ago said the other person in the unit was her 16-year-old daughter. Deputies found the daughter at a nearby gas station.More from Law&Crime: 70-year-old Publix shopper felt like someone 'punched him' in the face — then he saw a man standing next to him holding a box cutter: CopsThe girl said her mother was upset that they were being kicked out of the storage unit, so she shot at the employee twice, the affidavit stated.Pierce was not with her daughter, but deputies later found her in front of a nearby business and arrested her. She remains in the Brevard County Jail without bond. Her next court date is set for Nov. 10.

Teen died after friend mistook air rifle trigger for safety catch, inquest finds

Published 21:58 14 Oct 2026 GMT+1Connor Bell, 17, suffered a fatal brain injury after his friend accidentally fired an air rifle at him during a partyA teenage boy died after his friend accidentally shot him through the eye socket with an air rifle while at a party.Connor Bell, 17, was drinking with his friends at the home of Joshua Brown in Basingstoke, Hampshire on 8 November last year, an inquest heard. At the party, the teens took Brown’s air rifle and began firing at bottles from the conservatory. However, things took a tragic turn when Jack Beechey, then aged 17, fired a fatal shot at Bell after mistaking the trigger for the safety catch.AdvertThe teen suffered an ‘unsurvivable’ brain injury after the pellet entered his head through his right eye socket and caused him to have a cardiac arrest. He was taken to Southampton General Hospital where he died two days later. The inquest today (14 October), was told that Brown, who is now 18, had agreed with his parents that he’d have some friends around for drinks and that the air rifle, which they had owned for three weeks, would be left locked away in a cupboard. But the teen said that on the day, more friends than he’d told his parents about had arrived and they drank vodka, cider and beers instead of the box of 12 Peroni beers that his dad had bought for them.Connor Bell died after being shot with an air rifle (PA)During the course of the evening, the air rifle was taken from the cupboard and the teens used it to fire at targets in the garden.Later on, Beechey ran in from the kitchen and told Brown: “I shot Connor.”Beechey said that when Brown had asked him to put the rifle away, he’d decided to use up the remaining pellets as he thought it ‘would be safer’ and had believed he’d ‘completely unloaded it’.Beechey said it was as he walked into the kitchen that he accidentally fired the rifle by mistaking the trigger for the safety catch while Connor was standing nearby. He said: “I tried to put the safety on but it was the wrong trigger. The safety is directly in front of the trigger.”The inquest heard that after the emergency services arrived, Beechey told police: “I shot my friend with an air rifle, it was an accident.”A post mortem carried out by pathologist Dr Megan Jenkins found the cause of death to be a hypoxic brain injury caused by cardiac arrest resulting from a gunshot wound to the head.Coroner Jason Pegg recorded a conclusion of accidental death with a lack of weapons-handling skills contributing to the death. He added Connor’s death was ‘devastating’ and added: “This is a deeply tragic case.”In a statement released after the hearing, Connor’s family: “Connor was a much-loved boy, who was very sporty and had a large circle of friends.“This was a tragic accident which led to the loss of Connor.“His friends conducted CPR at the scene, which allowed our son to be an organ donor and save lives. He has since been awarded an Order of St John in recognition of his donation.“This incident was a tragedy for all the families involved and we are all supporting each other at this incredibly difficult time.“We would like to remind the public about the potential dangers of air rifles and the care needed to ensure they are safely stored. They should only be used by people with the necessary skills and weapon-handling training.”In a statement, Hampshire Police said: “As part of our initial enquiries, a 17-year-old boy from Tadley, now aged 18, was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent. He has since been released and will face no further action, following discussions with the CPS and Connor’s family.”Featured Image Credit: PATopics: UK News
