Michael Dell shares children’s thank-you notes after Susan is mocked over White House appearance

Published 04:12 13 Oct 2026 GMT+1He was joined by appalled X users and outraged prominent figures Michael Dell, founder of Dell Technologies has taken to social media in what appears to be a bid to defend his wife from internet trolls.Susan went viral after she appeared in a clip showing her in the Oval Office on October 7 with Donald Trump standing alongside her husband to comment on a $6.25 billion pledge they made towards helping 25 million children build a $250 financial foundation, the Daily Mail reported.Susan said, “To every child across the country, these accounts are for you. We believe in you.”Despite the generosity of the act, internet users were quick to seize on her appearance as an opportunity to mock her red dress and general look.AdvertConservative commentator Mike Cernovich summed up the controversy when he defended Susan on X, “The Dell family gave 7 billion dollars directly to American children.“And instead of gratitude, there's much discussion of a 62-year-old woman's looks.”The Dells met the President at the Oval Office (Photo by Anna Moneymaker/Getty Images)Michael Dell himself seems to have joined the defence of his wife by sharing posts online in support of her.One was from an X user called Feisty Floridan who said, “My grandson got 250 dollars in his Trump account from Susan Dell. Please leave that woman alone. Thank you Susan.”Michael Dell also shared a post by another X user called Wingfoot, who said, “It’s truly insane how evil and full of themselves people are.“I signed my kids up and wasn’t expecting to get anything as we live in a wealthy country and city.“Out of the blue $250 showed up from Dell for both of my boys. I will go out of my way to support them now, who else has”.Trump’s son Eric also took to X to defend Susan via a post, “People are awful. Susan and Michael Dell just put $6.25 billion into Trump Accounts for 25 million kids so they’ll have something waiting for them when they grow up—one of, if not the largest private donation in American History.“The response? Vicious attacks on her.“I’m tired of this nonsense. Very few people have done more for philanthropy. It’s disgusting and it has to stop.“Susan, on behalf of the overwhelming majority of people in this nation: Thank You!! You are incredible!”Michael Dell also shared some examples of the fan mail his family had received, which appeared to have been written by children. One message read: “Dear Dell Family, Thank you for the money in my Trump bank account. I'm very glad to be saving for my future.”Another wrote: “I'm grateful for the money you added to my Trump account, Thank you for helping me save for my future.”The couple’s donation has been paid into Trump Accounts, which also receive a $1,000 taxpayer-funded deposit for eligible children.” Capitalise Trump Accounts.“They’re putting up a lot of money,” said Trump in July, referring to the Dells’ contribution.Featured Image Credit: (Photo by Anna Moneymaker/Getty Images)Topics: Donald Trump, Social Media

Arby’s Adds Three Sous-Vide Chicken Cheesesteaks for a Limited Time New

Arby’s Adds Three Sous-Vide Chicken Cheesesteaks for a Limited Time

See more of our coverage in your search results. This fast food chain has the meats — and now, a tasty new drop of specialty sandwiches.Earlier today, the fast food behemoth Arby’s, known best for its mouthwatering roast beef offerings, released its latest sandwich releases, including a Chicken Cheesesteak, Chicken Deluxe Cheesesteak and Spicy Chicken Cheesesteak. The sandwiches all feature chicken marinated in a paprika, garlic and onion spice blend, which is then cooked “sous vide” — meaning the meat has been sealed in a plastic bag and cooked in precise temperature-controlled water for peak juiciness. They are then seared and served on a toasted roll with Cooper Sharp cheese (typically the aged American cheese of choice when it comes to Philly-style cheesesteaks), which can be switched out with another cheese if desired. Arby'sThat’s not all the mouthwatering sandwiches have to offer. All three are also topped with caramelized onions and are served on a toasted, sesame seed roll. The deluxe option also includes shredded lettuce and sliced tomatoes, while the spicy version is topped with what the chain calls a “spicy glaze for guests interested in a bit more heat,” per a company statement. The drop comes after a host of other new offerings at Arby’s this year, including the Angus Cheesesteak, which quickly became a fan favorite when an upgraded version was re-released this past June following its original drop in 2025, ultimately becoming a permanent menu fixture and likely inspiring Arby’s latest drop of chicken-centric bites. For now, the sandwiches are set to be on the menu for a limited time, though it is not yet clear just how limited. An Arby’s restaurant stands on Metropolitan Avenue in the Middle Village neighborhood of Queens, New York, on Friday, Dec. 27, 2024. Helayne Seidman for NY PostWhile prices can vary on location, the regular Chicken Cheesesteak rings in at around $7.49, the Deluxe at $8.49 and the Spicy at $7.99. Social media reactions to the new chicken sandwiches are currently rolling in, and appear to be largely positive.“[Arby’s] makes no mistakes with its new chicken cheesesteaks — regular, deluxe with lettuce and tomato, or spicy,” said one TikTok taster.“Love me a menu change!” posted another, with #ChickenCheesesteak. While the three sandwiches may be the latest in Arby’s new lineup this year, they certainly aren’t the first. Earlier this year, the chain released the French Dip Royale (a hot take on the brand’s French Dip & Swiss Sandwich) and steak nuggets for a protein-forward option, with 17 grams of protein per five-piece serving and 30 grams per nine-piece serving. Sliders were also returned to the menu, at 10 grams of protein and costing less than $2 a piece.

Michael Dell backs wife Susan after trolls target her despite $6.25bn donation

Published 01:59 13 Oct 2026 GMT+1Susan Dell went viral after a recent appearance at the Oval Office alongside Donald Trump Dell founder Michael Dell appears to have taken a swipe at internet trolls who attacked his wife Susan’s looks after a recent White House appearance.Susan, 62, went viral after she appeared alongside her billionaire husband - the CEO and chairman of tech company Dell Technologies - in the Oval Office on 7 October. In a clip shared online, President Donald Trump can be seen talking while Susan stands behind him in a red dress. The pair were in attendance after they contributed $6.25 billion to ‘help 25 million children start building a strong financial foundation’.AdvertCommenting on the scheme, Susan said: “Over the past month, as our contribution reached millions of children’s accounts, Michael and I have heard from so many parents and kids and grandparents with these beautiful letters that have truly moved us.Michael Dell has reshared several tweets defending his wife Susan (Anna Moneymaker/Getty Images)“Children have told us that they want to become entrepreneurs... nurses, doctors, engineers. They want to build their own companies some day.”“We’ve heard from parents and grandparents who share what it means to them.“To know that there is an investment in their child’s future. These things are so wonderful and so important. It’s not just the money that matters... Knowing someone believes in you and your future that matters just as much.”However, their philanthropic deed was overlooked after cruel trolls took aim at Susan’s appearance online, where the clip was branded 'one of the weirdest things' and 'not real'.In response her husband Michael has since shared posts from several people who have called out the cruel comments and urged people to leave Susan alone. One post shared by Michael on his X account read: "My grandson got 250 dollars in his Trump account from Susan Dell. Please leave that woman alone."Michael also reposted another tweet that had been written in response to a post condemning the criticism of Susan, that read: “It’s truly insane how evil and full of themselves people are. I signed my kids up and wasn’t expecting to get anything as we live in a wealthy county and city. Out of the blue $250 showed up from Dell for both of my boys. I will go out of my way to support them now, who else has done what they did? No one…” Michael has since shared a series of sweet letters, drawings and cards sent to he and his wife by children thanking them for their donation. 7 Reasons Two People Remember the Same Event Differently New

7 Reasons Two People Remember the Same Event Differently

1. Attention determines what enters memory in the first placePeople can share an experience without absorbing the same information. Attention selects only part of what is happening, so each person begins with different raw material. At a dinner, one guest may notice a tense exchange while another concentrates on ordering food. Later, their accounts conflict—not necessarily because either person is dishonest, but because neither encoded the entire scene. Memory cannot reliably reproduce details that attention never registered.2. Expectations can quietly fill gaps in an incomplete sceneThe mind uses existing knowledge to interpret fragments, often without marking which details were observed and which were inferred. If a colleague enters a meeting late and looks flustered, one person may remember an apology even if none occurred, because an apology fits the expected sequence. These additions are not always deliberate fabrications. They show that remembering is partly reconstruction, especially when the original event was brief, ordinary or poorly observed.3. Later information can become attached to the original memoryWhat people hear after an event can alter how they later describe it. Suppose two friends see a cyclist fall. One subsequently hears that the road was slippery; the other hears that the cyclist was distracted. When retelling the incident, each may emphasise different causes or even recall supporting details. The later information does not automatically erase the original memory, but its source can become confused with what was personally witnessed.4. Strong emotion highlights some details and obscures othersEmotion can make an event feel exceptionally vivid, but vividness is not the same as complete accuracy. During a heated argument, someone may clearly remember a cutting phrase yet have little memory of what was said immediately before it. The other person may focus on tone rather than wording. A powerful emotional response can narrow attention around what felt threatening or important, leaving surrounding details less available even when confidence remains high.5. Retelling a story can reshape the next recollectionEach retelling is more than a neutral playback. It can strengthen selected details, simplify the sequence and give the event a cleaner meaning. After repeatedly describing a holiday mishap as hilarious, someone may later remember amusement more readily than the embarrassment felt at the time. This does not mean every retelling corrupts memory. It means people often remember both the event and the story they have practised telling about it.6. Current feelings can change which past details seem importantA present relationship or mood can influence how someone organises memories of the past. After a friendship ends badly, earlier awkward moments may become easier to retrieve and appear like obvious warning signs. If the friendship improves, generous moments may return to the foreground. The events themselves have not changed, but their significance has. This hindsight effect can make the current interpretation feel as though it was always clear.7. Confidence measures certainty, not necessarily historical accuracyPeople often treat confidence as proof, yet certainty can grow through repetition, coherence or social reinforcement rather than better evidence. A sibling who has told the same childhood story for years may sound far surer than one who remembers only fragments. That difference does not establish who is correct. When accuracy matters, compare independent records, separate direct observation from later inference, and allow uncertainty instead of forcing both accounts into one definitive version.

Selma Blair was released on bail following her alleged violent outburst aboard a Delta flight, an incident her attorneys claim was sparked in part by missing her medication. The “Legally Blonde” star, 54, entered a not guilty plea Monday night after being charged with two counts of second-degree assault following a series of alleged attacks on a flight attendant, a Port Authority police officer and a hospital nurse. She is facing two to seven years behind bars if convicted.Blair appeared before Judge Indira Khan, who set bail at $20,000 cash, $60,000 bond or a $60,000 partially secured bond, Page Six has learned.Selma Blair, shown above, appeared emotional as she went before a judge in New York City Monday night. New York Daily NewsThe actress, shown above in court, was handcuffed as she entered a not guilty plea to the charges stemming from the alleged violent airplane incident. New York Daily NewsBlair is represented by defense attorneys Shawn Barnes and Joshua Reitzas. Her case was adjourned until Jan. 19, 2027, and the judge granted an order of protection to the hospital nurse Blair allegedly assaulted.Blair appeared emotional during her arraignment, with Reitzas wiping tears from her face.Barnes said Blair had missed her medication prescribed to treat her multiple sclerosis and had also fallen and hit her head.Barnes added she boarded the flight after being on set and working “extensive hours and exhaustive hours” in the days leading up to the trip.“These factors coupled with the altitude, resulted in a state of severe confusion and disorientation,” Barnes said. The “A Guy Thing” actress, pictured above leaving court, was charged with two counts of assault in Queens Criminal Court following a chaotic incident on a Delta flight Sunday evening. AP Photo/Ryan MurphyBlair’s attorneys claimed she missed multiple doses of medication and had hit her head prior to the alleged incident. AP Photo/Ryan Murphy“This was not an intentional assault,” he said.Reitzas also asked the judge to consider Blair’s body of work, claiming she is “the gold standard.”The judge replied, “Ms. Blair should not get special treatment because she is a celebrity.”The actress was arrested Sunday after allegedly punching one flight attendant and biting another while traveling from Los Angeles to New York City, Page Six previously reported. The incident unfolded aboard a Delta flight arriving at John F. Kennedy International Airport, where law enforcement officers were waiting when the plane landed.Blair was restrained aboard the aircraft and taken into custody after landing. She was subsequently transported by ambulance to a hospital for evaluation. While en route, Blair allegedly repeatedly kicked a Port Authority police officer in the head. Once at the hospital, she allegedly assaulted a nurse, who later pressed charges. New York Daily News New York Daily NewsBlair faces federal assault allegations related to the alleged in-flight incident, in addition to the two state assault charges stemming from the alleged attacks on the officer and nurse.A representative for the actress told Page Six that Blair experienced a medical emergency that led to the alleged conduct.“Upon landing, she received immediate medical attention and is currently in stable condition,” the representative said. Delta also condemned the alleged behavior, telling Page Six that the airline has “zero tolerance for unruly or unlawful behavior, as the safety of our customers and crew always comes first.”The FBI is investigating the alleged assault aboard the aircraft. The latest incident comes a decade after Blair was removed from another flight on a stretcher following a disturbing episode aboard a plane traveling from Cancun, Mexico, to Los Angeles in June 2016.The actress was traveling with her then-4-year-old son, Arthur, and his father, fashion designer Jason Bleick, when she reportedly began crying and making alarming statements about a man abusing her.Witnesses said Blair was drinking wine in first class before making the remarks, including, “He beats me. He’s going to kill me.”Two nurses aboard the flight reportedly tried to help her, while the pilot alerted authorities that a passenger may have mixed alcohol and medication. This is a developing story… Community GuidelinesWelcome to the Page Six Community! Our community is about connecting people through open and thoughtful conversations. The criminal illegal migrant shot by an ICE agent in Manhattan last week still has the bullet lodged in his neck, can’t eat and has to drink bathroom sink water under “horrific’’ jail conditions, his lawyers say.Convicted armed robber Oscar Belgal, 28, of the Dominican Republic is being forced to endure the torturous situation while being held in solitary confinement at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn – the same lock-up where alleged healthcare CEO killer Luigi Mangione and deposed Venezuelan dictator Nicolas Maduro are housed.Oscar Belgal is shot and cuffed by federal immigration officers in Upper Manhattan last week. New York City Police Department via AP“Mr. Belgal is living through an unimaginable nightmare,” said the criminal’s lawyers, from the Legal Aid Society and Make the Road New York, in a joint statement. “While he is currently in solitary confinement, a bullet remains lodged in his neck, the left side of his face is numb, and he can barely hear out of his left ear.“Doctors have told him he urgently needs surgery, but that the procedure was too dangerous to perform Thursday evening without a specialized surgeon present,” Belgal’s lawyers said. “Although he was instructed to return to the hospital this week, he has been left in the dark about whether that surgery will even happen. He is also suffering from a shoulder wound caused by shattered glass during the incident.”Belgal, 28, had his 5-year-old son in the car when he allegedly tried to flee the officers by ramming them.
