Khloé Kardashian says she owns frozen embryos as True asks for a sister

The star has sparked speculation that she could be preparing to welcome another child

Khloé Kardashian recently opened up about her decision to remain celibate for four years, but it seems expanding her family might still be on the cards despite this.

Kardashian, who already shares two children with her ex-partner Tristan Thompson, has revealed that her daughter True is desperate for a little sister.

Judging by a rather unexpected conversation in the latest trailer for The Kardashians, the eight-year-old might already have an idea about how to make that happen.

In the teaser, Kardashian discusses the possibility of having another baby.

She shocks her mum, Kris Jenner, by explaining that True knows all about the family's frozen embryos.

"True is, like, laser-focused on that she has a sister in the freezer," Kardashian tells Jenner.

Clearly taken aback by the revelation, Jenner responds: "Oh, no."

Kardashian then adds: "And she's told people,…"

Before she can finish, Jenner interrupts: "She hears everything."

However, it's what Kardashian says next that really catches her mum off guard.

"I own the embryo outright. Don't even need to tell Tristan this is happening, because I own them. They're my embryos," she declares.

A stunned Jenner struggles to find the words, responding: "What? Are you… what?"

After Kardashian unleashes a jokingly evil laugh suggesting she’s planning something, Jenner asks her daughter: "Have you lost your mind?"

While Kardashian doesn't confirm whether she's actually planning to use one of the embryos, the conversation certainly suggests she's been thinking about the possibility.

The Good American founder is already mum to True and son Tatum, four, whom she welcomed with Thompson in 2018 and 2022 respectively.

Tatum was born via surrogate following the former couple's turbulent relationship, which was rocked by multiple cheating scandals.

Kardashian and Thompson have since gone their separate ways romantically, although they continue to co-parent their children.

The latest baby revelation comes shortly after Kardashian made headlines for discussing her sex life, or rather, the lack of one.

During a recent episode of The Kardashians, she revealed that she'd reached the four-year mark without having sex.

The admission prompted plenty of conversation online, particularly as the reality star has previously spoken about prioritising herself and her children over finding another relationship.

Despite her decision to remain celibate, Kardashian has never ruled out having more children.

As her latest conversation with Jenner suggests, having another baby wouldn't necessarily mean rekindling her relationship with Thompson or finding a new partner.

Frozen embryos can be used in fertility treatment years after they're created, although the legal requirements surrounding their use depend on the circumstances and relevant consent arrangements.

Kardashian's comments about owning the embryos are her own account of the situation, rather than confirmation of any future fertility plans.

For now, it appears True is the one most enthusiastic about adding another member to the family.

“All True does… she wants a sister,” Khloe told Paige DeSorbo on a recent episode of Khloe in Wonder Land, referring again to the embryo ‘in the freezer’.

“She's on ice, but I just don't know,” she revealed, before adding: “I think girls need a sister, but am I just programmed to think that?”

Whether Kardashian decides to make her daughter's wish a reality remains to be seen, but Jenner's hilarious reaction suggests the possibility has already caused quite a stir.

Fans will have to wait to see whether the conversation leads to anything more when the new season of The Kardashians continues.
