"I will honor you forever and keep your memory alive. I love you, i hope you knew just how much."

Fiona's family also shared a statement announcing the tragic news and paying tribute to Fiona.

The state, shared with PEOPLE, said: "We are deeply heartbroken by the loss of our beloved Fiona. She was a loving young girl who was smart, creative and loved to dance. She was adored by her sisters and she was deeply loved by her parents. In fact, she was the light of our lives."

The medical examiner in the County of Los Angeles has now said that her cause of death has been ruled as suicide, Metro reports.

Fiona was the middle child of Lowe and his wife Kim Painter, who also have Mabel, 17, and Nixie, 10, with Lowe and Painter getting married in 2010.

Fiona's school had also released a statement to students confirming that a student had passed away, and offering support to other students at the school after the tragedy.

The email said: “It is with deep sadness that I am calling you to advise you of the death of one of our students.

“Our sincere condolences go out to the student’s family, friends and teachers.

In the post, he wrote: “Almost a month after we evacuated our girls finally got to go back to see what’s left of their home.”

He added: “The way they’ve handled this whole devastating experience is nothing short of remarkable. I am in awe of their spirit and resilience. Helping them navigate these tough times is my sole purpose. Being their dad is my life’s greatest joy and privilege.”
