Influencers Jake and Logan Paul delivered a 'motivational speech' at the Pentagon
The US has been mocked after influencer brothers Jake and Logan Paul were bizarrely drafted in to issue a speech to army troops.
The pair, who have both been linked to President Trump, spoke at the Pentagon ahead of National POW/MIA Recognition Day honouring prisoners of war and those missing in action.
"Last Thursday, we welcomed Logan and Jake Paul to the Pentagon to meet with our warriors," a post shared by the US Department of War read on X.
"What a cool experience," Logan could be heard saying in the clip as troops were addressed.

"We see all the men and women here serving this great nation, and I don't think there is any greater commitment to sacrifice than those willing to live, die and fight for their country."
“Each of you matter,” Jake added. “Take this moment and be proud of yourselves for what you do.
“This is the greatest country in the world, truly. We are blessed to be born here, come here, and we should never take that for granted.”

The visit was quickly mocked on social media with users puzzled as to why the Paul brothers had been selected to speak.
The pair are known for boxing, wrestling and appearing on reality TV as well as having millions of followers on social media platforms.
The video which has had over 47 million views, showed the Paul brothers posing and laughing with Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth, the former Fox and Friends Weekend host, while including clips from their address to troops in the press room.
"We are all going to die," one person quipped, as another posted: "I had to triple check to make sure this wasn’t a parody account."
A third meanwhile added: "So our department of war got that Disney channel flow now?"
Former GOP Representative Adam Kinzinger, who had voted to impeach Trump in 2021, also slammed the clip, writing: “We aren’t a serious country at the moment."

Meanwhile Deputy Pentagon Press Secretary Joel Valdez told Task & Purpose: "The Department of War was proud to host Jake and Logan Paul at the Pentagon this week.
"They toured the building, paid their respects at our 9/11 memorial, thanked our service members, and briefly met with Secretary Hegseth.
"The Department is grateful for their visit and continued support of our military."
The Paul brothers have been closely aligned with Donald Trump through high-profile media collaborations and support of his campaign.
