Kaity Tong's Unexpected Career Shift Leaves Fans in Awe

New York PIX11 news icon Kaity Tong announced her retirement on Tuesday night, closing out an illustrious, award-filled career that spanned over six decades.

The Emmy-winning broadcast journalist, who has been with PIX11 since 1992, will anchor her final show on Aug. 30, the station announced.

“Journalist, anchor, icon, legend, friend, mentor. A few of the words that describe our beloved Kaity Tong,” PIX11 Managing Editor Patrick Mason said, according to the outlet.
