Dolly Martinez, a star of "My 600-Lb. Life," has died from congestive heart failure at age 30. Her mother, Staci Thurman, shared that Martinez had been unwell with medical issues and was hospitalized on March 29.

Medical Complications

According to Thurman, Martinez was put into a medically induced coma and placed on a ventilator the day after her hospital admission but did not recover. Family and friends surrounded her, including her sister Lindsey Cooper.

Cooper announced Martinez's passing on Facebook and described her as having a bright personality with a loving spirit that made everyone feel special. She expressed comfort in knowing Dolly is now reunited with their late father.

Life on Television

Martinez appeared in Season 10 of "My 600-Lb. Life" on TLC, which highlights individuals struggling with morbid obesity. Her episode covered her battles with food addiction and mental health issues while documenting her use of supplemental oxygen.

Though she was not approved for weight-loss surgery by the end of her episode, Martinez successfully lost 40 pounds after beginning at 593 pounds. The show has seen multiple participants pass away, including Larry Myers Jr., who died from a heart attack in June 2023.
