Brandi Glanville Issues Warning After Hospital Visit Over Social Media Health Tip
Brandi Glanville recently ended up in the hospital after attempting a home remedy involving garlic based on social media advice. The incident occurred after she attempted to alleviate congestion caused by a cold she caught from her son.
During an episode of her podcast, Glanville shared that she got a cold from her son and decided to search online for remedies. After finding one suggestion, she inserted a clove of garlic into her ear, which got stuck, resulting in a trip to the emergency room.
The Garlic Incident
Initially, Glanville tried placing garlic in her nostril, but moved it to her ear when it became too uncomfortable. On Easter, the situation worsened and she had to seek medical attention the following day. Despite claims online, there is no scientific evidence supporting garlic as a congestion remedy.
Medical Advice Against Home Remedies
Doctors caution against putting objects like garlic in ears or noses due to the risk of infection and potential damage. ENT specialist Dr. Raj Sindwani advises that using garlic can irritate nasal linings without providing any real benefit.
