'Survivor 50': Dee Valladares Slams Rizo Velovic's Pregame Lies!
Dee Valladares revealed she spoke with Rizo Velovic before "Survivor 50," but felt misled by him. Their interaction became a focal point after her exit from the game.
Initial Concerns
Valladares shared that during a FaceTime call, Velovic falsely claimed that another contestant, Savannah Louie, finished in fifth place on Season 49 while he came fourth. In reality, Louie was the actual winner, which Valladares discovered later.
The mistrust initially affected her relationship with both Velovic and Louie as she entered Season 50. She mentioned wanting to avoid interactions with those from Season 49 due to these perceived deceptions.
Game Strategy Shift
On the same tribe as Velovic for Season 50, Valladares eventually decided to support him over her ally, Charlie Davis. She attributed this change of heart to Velovic’s strong ability to form alliances.
Valladares commended Velovic's gameplay, noting his self-awareness and strategic thinking as key strengths.
Underlying Motives
The pregame call was exposed by Charlie Davis, who alleged it was set up by “Survivor 49” runner-up Sophi Balerdi. Valladares suggested Davis had an ulterior motive in revealing the conversation, possibly aiming to undermine her and Velovic's credibility.
Expressing skepticism about Davis's intentions, Valladares remarked on the irony of being criticized for her own actions.
"Survivor 50" airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET on CBS.
