Oklahoma State Softball Game Postponed After Accident

Oklahoma State University's softball game against Wichita State University was postponed following a fatal accident involving the team's bus. The accident occurred on April 8 in Noble County, Oklahoma.

Details of the Incident

The accident took place on Interstate 35 and resulted in the death of a woman who was struck by the bus. Northbound lanes were closed for two hours after the crash. No OSU team members were injured.

A statement from the team confirmed that new details about the rescheduled game would be shared later. Police reported that prior to the accident, there was a call about a woman running in and out of traffic.

Team Response

Cowgirls softball coach Kenny Gajewski shared on Instagram that the team eventually reached Wichita and expressed gratitude towards Wichita State for their support. Photos from the Shockers' facility were also posted.

The Athletic reported that police notified the victim's family, with her name to be released later.

The Oklahoma State's next game at Iowa State University remains scheduled for April 10.
