Offset Sued for $100K by Detroit Casino Before Florida Shooting Incident

Share Post

Offset is facing legal challenges as a Detroit casino has sued him for not repaying a $100,000 credit line, while his representatives work towards resolving the issue. This lawsuit emerges shortly after Offset paid over $1.5 million in federal taxes.

Financial Disputes with Casinos

The MotorCity Casino & Hotel in Detroit claims that Offset failed to repay a credit line opened in March 2024. Casino lines of credit are considered legally collectible debts and involve checks on banking history and average balances.

After unsuccessful attempts to collect the debt directly from Offset's account due to insufficient funds, the casino filed a lawsuit citing breach of contract and fraud. Offset's team remains in discussions to settle the debt.

Shooting Incident in Florida

Days before the lawsuit was filed, Offset was involved in a shooting outside the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida. An altercation with rapper Lil Tjay led to shots being fired, resulting in Offset being injured.

Offset sustained a leg injury and was hospitalized but is stable. In connection with this incident, Lil Tjay faced legal issues but was later released from custody. The investigation into the shooting continues.
