Michael J. Fox and Other Celebs Forced to Address Death Rumors

Several celebrities, including Lil Tay and Josh Seiter, had to clarify they were alive after being falsely reported dead online.

Lil Tay's Death Hoax

In August 2023, Lil Tay's Instagram account announced her and her brother's deaths. A response from the email in her Instagram bio initially confirmed the statement. However, Lil Tay later clarified that the account had been hacked and both she and her brother were alive.

"It's been a very traumatizing 24 hours," said Lil Tay, describing the distress caused by false information spread through her compromised account.

Josh Seiter's Experience

Later in the same month, Josh Seiter's Instagram announced his death. He quickly used social media to confirm he was alive, denying the claims made by the unauthorized post.
