Reza and Mercedeh "MJ" Javid developed a close bond during high school, which included sharing intimate moments such as showering together. In his book, Reza mentions that this led to them having sex twice, despite maintaining a "purely platonic" relationship otherwise.

He recalls, "It was during one of these friendly showers we were swapping places, and then our bodies squeegeed between wall and window." This unexpected turn of events resulted in what he describes as "fun times" with his best friend.

The memoir also uncovers a past fling with Bob Harper from The Biggest Loser. Their relationship continued until Bob's marriage to Scott, who has since passed away. Reza writes that despite the love triangle, he bore no ill will toward Scott.
