Taylor Frankie Paul Wins Restraining Order Against Dakota Mortensen

Share Post

Taylor Frankie Paul has been granted a temporary protective order against her ex, Dakota Mortensen. A Utah judge ordered Dakota to maintain a distance of 100 yards from Taylor until a scheduled court hearing later this month.

Restraining Orders and Custody

Paul filed for a restraining order following weeks after Mortensen had obtained a protective order against her. He was also awarded temporary custody of their 2-year-old son, Ever. Taylor shares two other children with her ex-husband, Tate Paul.

Allegations and Legal Proceedings

In March, it was reported that the couple was involved in an alleged domestic violence incident. The Draper City Police Department confirmed an ongoing investigation into the matter, involving allegations from both parties. Production on "The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives" season 5 was halted following these events.

Airing of New Incidents

Footage from a 2023 incident showed Paul assaulting Mortensen as well as throwing chairs in front of her daughter, leading to her arrest and charges including aggravated assault. This led ABC to cancel Taylor's upcoming season of "The Bachelorette." Paul expressed gratitude for ABC's support while prioritizing her family's safety.

Mortensen broke his silence regarding the video footage, emphasizing his denial of all claims. He stated his focus remains on their son's safety.

The West Jordan Police Department is currently reviewing additional allegations made by Mortensen involving a third domestic dispute with Paul in 2024. Authorities are examining related video footage but have not provided further details due to an ongoing investigation.
