Ex-NY Jets Star Darron Lee Faces Charges in Girlfriend's Death

Darron Lee, a former first-round draft pick for the New York Jets, was arrested and charged in Tennessee for allegedly murdering his girlfriend.

Reports stated that police were called to a home near Ooltewah, around two-and-a-half hours outside of Nashville, in response to a CPR emergency.

Upon arrival, law enforcement found the victim and attempted life-saving measures, but she tragically succumbed to her injuries. Detectives on the scene determined the death to be a homicide, with Lee identified as the suspect and taken into custody.

Lee is facing charges of first-degree murder and tampering with evidence, currently being held without bond. He is scheduled for a court appearance on the upcoming Wednesday.

Following his time at The Ohio State University and a stint with the New York Jets, Lee played for the Kansas City Chiefs and the Buffalo Bills. He has a history of legal issues, having previously faced charges for assault and domestic violence.
