Savannah Guthrie's Brother-in-Law Cleared as Suspect in Mom's Vanishing
The Pima County Sheriff’s Department refuted claims that Savannah Guthrie’s brother-in-law, Tommaso Cioni, is the main suspect in the disappearance of her mother, Nancy Guthrie. NewsNation's Ashleigh Banfield reported this information on February 3.
Banfield mentioned that Annie Guthrie and Tommaso were the last to see Nancy, 84, on February 1. She also stated that there might be a connection between Annie's car and Tommaso, who is married to Annie and is being considered a prime suspect in the case.
TMZ reported that the Sheriff’s Department denied naming any suspect or person of interest in the case on February 4. Nancy was reported missing on February 1 in Catalina Foothills, Arizona, after she was last seen at her home on Saturday night.
Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos described Nancy’s residence as a crime scene with a concerning state. Savannah Guthrie, who has not returned to Today, urged the public to keep her mother in their thoughts amidst the ongoing situation.
