Despite the significant role of genetics, lifestyle factors such as diet, exercise, and habits still affect about 45 percent of life expectancy. Researchers stress the importance of not being fatalistic about genetics and emphasize that lifestyle modifications can influence lifespan, even with a genetic predisposition.
