Shein is facing allegations from Black designers who claim the company used AI to copy their designs without permission. The designers believe their images and likenesses were also taken without consent.

The Shade Room’s Justin Carter is investigating these claims and sharing insights on ‘TSR Investigates’. Fashion content creator Sabra Johnson discovered that her photos wearing a coat from designers Bruce and Glen Proctor were used in Shein marketing campaigns without her approval.

Designers have been accusing Shein of copying their work for years. Jade Da Gem, from Dulse Clothing, believes Shein altered the skin tone of her models in promotional photos. Johnson suspects Shein used AI to modify her images for marketing purposes.

Carter discusses previous legal actions against Shein for alleged infringement. He also interviews intellectual property attorney Jonathan D’Silva to provide essential information for designers affected by such practices.
