Social media users expressed anger after a video clip shared on Donald Trump's Truth Social account depicted the Obamas as apes. The clip appeared during a video discussing voting machines allegedly stealing the 2020 election, with the Obamas' faces superimposed on ape bodies briefly as a song played.

Social Media Outcry

Following the post, social media users reacted strongly, with comments condemning the depiction of the Obamas. Users criticized the post as racially insensitive and questioned the motives behind such content.

  • Instagram user @9_12_ remarked on the timing during Black History Month, calling it intentional.
  • Others like @jayt.music and @msblingmiami voiced their disapproval and urged people not to support such actions.

White House Response

The White House responded to the incident, initially referring to it as an internet meme video. White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt dismissed the outrage, stating that the video portrayed President Trump as the "King of the Jungle" and Democrats as characters from "The Lion King." Later, a White House staffer admitted to erroneously posting the content, which has since been removed.

As of the latest reports, Michelle and Barack Obama have not publicly addressed the video. The post on Trump's Truth Social account has been deleted.
